ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Wilsun is going to change the music industry from what it is into what it can be. She is an expressive singer/songwriter whose pen knows her better than anyone else. Growing up in Southern California, she spent her youngest years in Murrieta. She’s been involved with music for as long as she can remember, through singing and instrumentation. She was always heavily involved in church and music ministry, but she found that so much of the secular music she loved she couldn’t relate to. Her mission is to write music for all people and to fill the gap in secular music for Christians. She exists to utilize her God-given talents to serve and reach others. To make music for the people, like the younger generation, she had never had in a secular space. Wilsun writes music influenced by pop, rock, and indie. Some of her favorite influences are NIKI, Rachel Chinouriri, and Holly Humberstone. Listening to her heartfelt, vivid lyricism will leave you satisfied as a listener. She envisions a world where creating music can show the work Christ can do, impacting and serving them in all forms of music. She hopes that her music reaches people, and even if one person doesn’t relate, someone will and needs to hear it.

Wilsun would like to acknowledge her family for their support throughout her musical career. There was never a moment she felt she couldn’t pursue music, and for her family's unwavering support, prayers, and encouragement, she thanks them. She acknowledges her professors, Alex Mendoza, Hector Jimenez, Emily Benford, and Tom Brooks. They helped walk her through her musical career, especially when it became difficult, but still kept her inspired and confident in what she loved to do. A particular thanks to Alex Mendoza for helping her shape her music and sound. The most important acknowledgement she would like to give is to God. She thanks him for his faithfulness toward her and for always guiding her to where she needed to be. She hopes that, through her music, she will be able to glorify God and serve people from all musical backgrounds.
