I believe music is an essential part of a child’s wholeness. It nurtures creativity, discipline, empathy and a sense of belonging. My work is grounded in the conviction that every student deserves meaningful, high-quality music instruction, and that music education plays a vital role in today’s schools more than ever.

In the Master of Music in Music Education degree program at CBU, I am committed to creating engaging, student-centered learning experiences that connect research, pedagogy and real classroom practice. I care deeply about the current importance of music education in schools and strive to prepare educators to advocate for their programs while teaching in ways that are relevant, inclusive and responsive to the needs of today’s learners.

Above all, I value collaboration and mentorship. Teaching working music educators is especially meaningful to me, and I aim to create a supportive learning community where students can reflect, grow and immediately apply what they are learning in their own classrooms.
