The Master of Science in Accounting program integrates a global perspective with strategic and critical thinking concepts in business. It equips students with practical skills and a strong foundation in accounting, while also providing opportunities for personal growth and development as professionals.
Faculty in the accounting program have a wide range of industry experience, from corporate and managerial accounting to auditing, tax and even chief finance officer positions. They are deeply committed to building the next generation of principled and competent accountants and make themselves available to provide individual attention and support.
CBU’s partnerships with local, mid-size and national accounting firms help our well-equipped graduates find employment that is suited to their strengths and interests.
Students will have an upper hand in preparing for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam because of CBU’s partnership with UWorld CPA prep, which provides the highest quality test preparation materials for our students to use.
The accounting industry holds high ethical standards, which require an education that ensures accountants understand these principles. The Jabs MS in Accounting addresses this need by integrating Christian ethics into the rules of professional responsibility for CPAs.

CBU’s asynchronous class format means our online programs provide the maximum amount of flexibility for a minimum amount of interruption to your busy schedule. Additionally, the 8-week format means you can complete your degree twice as fast as a traditional semester schedule.

Richard Ardito, DBA Program Director, MS in Accounting (Online)
When I took my first accounting course as an undergraduate, I realized that it was something that came naturally to me. I sat down with my professor and talked about different careers in accounting, and that is when I decided to pursue the accounting field. I appreciate the opportunity that accounting gives me to help business owners succeed. It allows me to assist them with important business practices such as tax planning, cash flow management and capital investment planning.
I have experience in public accounting (tax and audit) and multiple industries as a financial analyst, controller and CFO. One of the most rewarding times of my career was when I was the CFO of Auri Footwear, a Laguna Beach luxury footwear startup. I joined during a very tumultuous time for the company, but navigating challenging problems for a cash-strapped startup company was difficult, exciting and rewarding all at the same time.
Academically, I am interested in the intention of tax policy compared to the actual results driven by the policy. Sometimes lawmakers intend to do one thing with a tax change, but an entirely different result is realized.

Official transcript from an accredited college or university reflecting the completion of a baccalaureate degree.
Minimum 2.75 GPA cumulative or last 60/90 unit GPA. Additional opportunities may be available for a student to overcome an unsatisfactory GPA.
