ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Jacob Tejada is a dedicated musician and audio engineer who combines technical skill with a genuine passion for sound. As a drummer, he brings precision, groove, and creativity to his playing, anchoring performances with a strong sense of rhythm and feel. Beyond the kit, Jacob works as an audio engineer, where his attention to detail and understanding of sound allow him to produce clean, polished recordings. His ability to navigate both performance nd production gives him a well-rounded perspective, enabling him to create and shape music from the ground up with clarity and intention.
Jacob Tejada began playing drums at the age of four in church, where he developed a strong foundation in rhythm and live performance. Growing up in a musical family and influenced by gospel music, he was exposed to complex rhythms, dynamic expression, and a deep sense of feel early on. Regularly performing in a church setting helped him refine his timing, adaptability, and musical awareness, shaping both his skills as a drummer and his appreciation for music’s emotional and communal impact.
During his time at CBU, Jacob Tejada expanded his expertise beyond performance and fully immersed himself in the technical side of music and audio. He developed a strong command of various digital audio workstations (DAWs), mastering their use across a wide range of applications. Whether working on music production, post-production and editing, or the detailed processes of mixing and mastering, Jacob learned to adapt his workflow to meet the specific needs of each project. This experience allowed him to refine both his creative and technical abilities, equipping him with the versatility to handle professional audio work with precision, efficiency, and a clear artistic vision.
