Facility Highlight

The Department of Kinesiology is housed within the 11-acre CBU Health Science Campus. The campus includes 70,000 square feet of indoor space with classrooms, labs, gathering spaces and a food service facility that are beautifully tailored to meet the needs of our undergraduate and graduate students.

Our cutting-edge facilities and equipment are designed to provide students with every opportunity to master the skills needed to excel in their chosen professions upon graduating from CBU. Students have access to radiography labs, an environmental chamber, metabolic carts, patient care mannequins, bioelectrical impedance body composition analysis and so much more!

CBU is recognized as the third best college campus in America,* and the resources available to our students and faculty are something that give us great pride as we serve our students and the Inland Southern California community.

Faculty Spotlight

Our graduate program uniquely prepares students through rigorous coursework, handson laboratory experiences and a robust internship program. Students learn from faculty who are recognized leaders in the field—routinely publishing in top-tier journals, serving on national boards and professional committees, and securing external funding that drives innovative research and real-world impact. Our students have won research competitions at SWACSM, demonstrating the high caliber of scholarship cultivated within our program through peer-reviewed presentations and competitive evaluation. Our strong alumni network extends across cardiac rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, PhD programs and a wide range of graduate allied health disciplines, providing valuable mentorship and career connections.

Since joining CBU in 2010, my own research has been supported by the Gatorade Sports Science Institute and the Department of Defense. I’m a fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine and I’ve served as president of SWACSM—further strengthening professional opportunities and connections for our students, faculty and partners.
