ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Evelyn Pan is a senior music major at California Baptist University, concentrating in opera and musical theater singing styles. She has a background in classical piano as well, bringing both technical discipline and expressive artistry to her musicianship. She currently serves as a vocalist on the worship team at Magnolia Church. In addition to her classical training, she enjoys singing pop repertoire, playing guitar, songwriting, and singing karaoke. Following graduation, Evelyn plans to pursue her teaching credential and become a music educator, with a desire to teach early childhood and gradually expand her impact across grade levels. In the long term, she aspires to teach, songwrite, and conduct a church choir or serve faithfully on a worship team, integrating her passion for music with her commitment to community and ministry.

TEXTS AND TRANSLATIONS Lascia Ch’io Pianga (Let Me Weep) Lord! Ah! Have mercy, let me weep Here let my tears flow! Let hope my soul know, My heart is longing for liberty, My heart is longing, my heart is longing for liberty. Assuage the sorrow to chains belonging O, grant tomorrow That I may be free, O, grant tomorrow That I may be free. Cara Mio Ben (Ah, Dearest Love) Ah, dearest love, If you should leave, Heaven above knows how I'd grieve. Your faithful friend sighs without end, This cruel torment cease now, I pray! Cease now, I pray! Danza, danza, fancuilla gentile (Dance, dance, maiden) Dance, O dance, maiden gay, to the song that I sing; Dance, O dance, maiden gay, to the song that I sing. Lightly and airily fly While bounding, resounding, the billows out ring! Dost thou hear the low voices of breezes soft blending Appeal to thy heart with their blandishing tone, their blandishing tone? They invite to a dance never ending, and whisper, "Dance on! Dance on!" Dance, O dance, maiden gay, to the song that I sing; Dance, O dance, maiden gay, to the song that I sing.

玫瑰三愿 (Rose Three Wishes) Rose, rose, blooming under the branch Rose, rose, blooming under the branch I hope the jealous, ruthless wind and rain will not blow against me! I hope the many tourists who love me don't pick me! I hope that beauty will never wither! Teach me to retain my youth 我住長江頭 (I Live at the Yangtze River Head) I live at the Yangtze River head You live at the end of the Yangtze River I miss you every day, but I can't see you Both of us drink from the Yangtze River When will this water stop? When did this hatred end? I only hope that your heart will be like mine And I will live up to your love

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS Thank you to my family for their love and support, to Professor Stephens for her remarkable training and encouragement, to Professor Carama for his impeccable knowledge, to CBU for my education and a marvelous community of friends, and, most important, to God for the gift of music. "My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing to You, And my soul, which You have redeemed." Psalm 71:23 (NKJV)
