This recital is presented under the direction of Professor Stefan Miller in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the B.A. in Music degree.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY Colette Curry is a Senior completing her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a concentration in Advanced Studies and a double major in Music with an emphasis in Musical Theatre Voice. Having grown up doing musical theatre, she has always had a heart for performing and telling stories. Some of her favorite past roles include Gabriella (High School Musical) and Ladybug (James and the Giant Peach). She has also performed on the CBU Theatre main stage in productions of Cinderella and Dietrich & Maria and has been a dancer and stage cast in the last three CBU Christmas productions. She is a current member of CBU’s University Choir and Orchestra (UCO) and the Camerata Choir, recently returning from a tour in Italy with Camerata. On this tour, she had the opportunity to perform concerts in cathedrals across the country, most notably singing mass in Saint Peter’s Basilica. However, Colette’s favorite place to use her gift is praising the Lord at her home church, Antioch. She has been a grateful member of the Antioch worship team for the last 6 years and enjoys writing songs with the team as well as on her own. Colette is incredibly excited to see what God has in store for her as she leaves CBU to step into this next chapter of the story He is telling through her.

COLLABORATIVE ARTIST BIOGRAPHY Cora Glaudin is completing her Bachelor's in Piano Performance and Pedagogy at California Baptist University. A dedicated collaborative pianist, she serves as choir pianist at her church and accompanies numerous CBU ensembles, vocalists, and theater department masterclasses. This semester, she also had the opportunity to work as an assistant music director for Wallace Theater’s production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. She is excited to continue honing her musical craft and continue in school to pursue a Master's degree in music.

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS My first and biggest thank you goes to my Jesus. I wouldn’t be here (I wouldn’t be anywhere!) if it weren’t for Him. Thank you, Lord, for the adventure that my time at CBU has been, and thank you that it’s a gift worth missing. Thank you also for the people you placed in my path to walk this journey with me for as long as our paths led us here.

Thank you, Jude and Elijah, for teaching me again and again the joy of music; when I forget, you are the ones who remind me why I love it. Daddy and Marmee, thank you for teaching me to hear the voice of the Lord and to follow His peace, and for supporting me when following Him led me to do some pretty crazy things. Thank you for never letting me sacrifice the unique expression that God created me to be in exchange for living what others would call a “normal” life. Thank you all for calling out the musician in me, for cheering me on no matter my role or performance, and for always choosing together.

To my professors and other CBU faculty: I am always amazed when I reflect on how much I have learned and grown in this short time (when I began at CBU, I didn’t even know that sight

singing was a thing that you could do!). Thank you for your instruction and guidance, and for intentionally caring about me and my journey. I have grown incredibly as a musician and as a child of God under your leadership; thank you for modeling both of those roles so well.

A special thanks to Professor Stefan Miller. Thank you for taking a chance on me. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be here getting a music degree at all, which would be a regrettable tragedy for a variety of reasons. Thank you for your patience and dedication in helping me train my voice and thank you for caring for my heart even more than my craft.

Finally, thank you to my friends and Antioch family. You make life a joy and treat, and I am so grateful to have each of you in my life. Thank you for all of your support!
