Biographies

Celine Ong is a versatile conductor, violinist, and pianist whose artistry is shaped by a passion for collaboration and musical expression. She is currently pursuing her Master of Music in Instrumental Conducting at California Baptist University under the mentorship of Dr. Gene Moon, after earning her Bachelor of Music (Honors) in Violin Performance with a concentration in Piano Pedagogy in 2024. Her conducting journey began at the age of fifteen under Professor Lim Soon Lay of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, an early experience that inspired her lifelong dedication to leadership on the podium. In 2024, she expanded her training through a workshop in Hong Kong under the guidance of world- class conductor Wilson Ng. This summer, she had the privilege of conducting two new music ensembles at the Brevard Music Festival in North Carolina, where she premiered works by emerging composers. At CBU, she has conducted the Symphony Orchestra, the musical theatre's production of Little Women, and the Summer Strings Camp. She is the founder and conductor of the Laure Sinfonietta in 2024, an ensemble devoted to innovation and artistic connection.

Morgan Parker is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting at California Baptist University, where he studies with Dr. Joshua Golden. A passionate conductor and educator, he serves as the Assistant Director of Choral Music at Fountain Valley High School, working with several ensembles in a thriving program. While completing his undergraduate studies in Music Education at Brigham Young University–Idaho, he was assistant conductor of the University Orchestra, Women’s Chorus, and Collegiate Singers, gaining valuable experience in both choral and instrumental leadership. He has also been an active performer and collaborator in Southern California, committed to fostering musical excellence and community through teaching and performance. Beyond music, Morgan enjoys spending time with his wife and their infant daughter, embracing his favorite new role as a dad.

Sebastián Salazar began his musical studies at age twelve in La Paz, México. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from The Master’s University, where he studied with Michael Ferril, and is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Orchestral Conducting at California Baptist University under Dr. Gene Moon. A dedicated violinist for over thirteen years, Sebastián has performed with orchestras across Mexico, Canada, and Latin America, and has taught many students, sharing his passion with the next generation. His performance experience spans a wide range of styles, from classical masterworks to film scores. As a conductor, Sebastián has led the State Orchestra of Baja California Sur and The Master’s University Orchestra, cultivating a deep love for opera and the symphonic repertoire. Born in Mexico and raised internationally, he brings a unique perspective and heartfelt artistry to his work. Above all, Sebastián seeks to glorify God through music, o`ering each performance as an act of worship and praise.

Siobhan Lawrence is a conductor and music educator from Trinidad and Tobago, currently pursuing her Master of Music in Choral Conducting at California Baptist University, where she is expanding her artistry as both a leader and collaborator. With over a decade of teaching experience, she has worked with students ages 4–84 in diverse settings including private instruction, church, summer camps, high school, and music therapy. Siobhan has conducted choirs in church, community, and academic settings, leading ensembles of varied ages and backgrounds. She also served as Director of the mUSiC Academy at the University of the Southern Caribbean for five years, where she designed workshops and music camps while leading a team of tutors in providing music education locally and abroad. Dedicated to the transformative power of choral music, Siobhan seeks to guide musicians to connect with their artistry in ways that spark both curiosity and confidence.
