ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Cora Glaudin is a pianist completing her bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance with a concentration in Piano Pedagogy at California Baptist University. She began lessons at age 6 and fell in love with making music. At 12, her teacher, Kelly Counts, encouraged her to become the choir pianist at Bible Baptist Church in Victorville, a role she continues to hold alongside playing for a variety of ensembles there. At CBU, Cora has taken on many musical endeavors, including performing in chamber ensembles, collaborating with many students, and serving as a pianist in Magnolia Singers and the Jazz Ensemble. She is also active with the theater department in the Collinsworth School of Performing Arts as pianist for auditions, classes, camps, and masterclasses. This year, she also served as music director for Wallace Theater’s productions of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Into the Woods. She plans to continue developing her craft through graduate study in music.

These past few years have been a rollercoaster of challenges and triumphs, and so many have encouraged me throughout my time here. First, I’d like to thank my family. Mom, Dad, Grandma, Poppop, Trevor, Meghan, and Louean, you’re some of my biggest supporters, coming to as many performances as possible to cheer me on. You all helped me get this far by encouraging me to keep pushing, even when I wasn’t confident in myself. Thank you for always being there. I want to thank Dr. Jennifer Cruz for helping me and shaping me into a better musician. I’ve looked up to you since I first began playing piano, so your guidance since arriving has been insane to wrap my head around sometimes. Thank you for being such a wonderful mentor throughout my studies. I also want to thank all the professors here at CBU who have taught me in classes and ensembles, helping shape my knowledge and craft. Finally, I want to thank my friends I made here. From late-night classes to impromptu jam sessions in practice rooms, you all have made college so memorable, and I don’t think I’d ever trade these memories away. Thank you for sticking by through the fun and stress. I thank God every day for all of you, and it’s because of Him that I’m here performing for you all today. Thank you!
