Since then, she has performed extensively as a soloist and collaborator, performing with orchestras, choirs, and chamber ensembles, and appearing at local, regional, and international festivals and competitions. Most recently, she was awarded Second Prize at the 2024 PCO International Competition for pianists. She has also performed in masterclasses with esteemed artists including Alvin Chow, Alan Chow, Douglas Humpherys, Olga Kern, Robin McCabe, John Perry, Craig Sheppard, and Ory Shihor. As an educator, Ms. Jevas is deeply committed to nurturing the next generation of musicians. She teaches both choir and piano at the Music Academy of Immanuel Lutheran Church and School, where she also serves as pianist, vocalist, and organist. In addition, she maintains a thriving private studio, works as a collaborative pianist throughout the Inland Empire, and appears as a guest clinician at universities. Her leadership roles include serving as Chair of the Southern California Junior Bach Festival, Riverside Branch, and as a board member of the Music Teachers’ Association of California. Ms. Jevas earned her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Oral Roberts University (2018) and a Performance Certificate from La Sierra University (2019). She is currently pursuing her Master of Music in Piano Performance at California Baptist University under the guidance of Dr. Andrés Jaramillo. She will matriculate this spring.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
My heartfelt appreciation goes to my professors, Dr. Andrés Jaramillo, Dr. Angela Brand, and Dr. Jennifer Cruz, for their guidance and encouragement throughout my studies a CBU. I am especially grateful to my mentors, Dr. Elvin Rodríguez and Linette Rodríguez, whose wisdom and support – both personally and professionally – have shaped my journey in profound ways. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Immanuel Lutheran Church and School for graciously providing a beautiful space in which to practice and prepare this recital. I am also thankful for my students, whose curiosity and love for music continually inspire me to grow as both a teacher and performer. To my best friend, Buddy, thank you for always giving me “the look” when I should be practicing. To my mother, thank you for your unwavering support and encouragement, and for always having my back through every challenge along the way. Most of all, I give thanks to God, whose faithfulness has guided every step of this journey. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11). Soli Deo Gloria.
