This recital is presented under the direction of Professor Lisa Cherry in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the B.M. in Music Education.
ARTIST
Evan Judson is a fourth-year Music Education Major at California Baptist University. Evan started his music career playing the trumpet but switched to the horn in eighth grade. Ever since he switched to the horn, Evan’s love for music has blossomed. Evan participated in the CBU Concerto and Aria Competition, finishing as a solo finalist in 2024 and winning the competition in 2025 with his horn quartet. After graduation, Evan plans to teach middle or high school band and share his passion with students. In addition, he wishes to keep playing the horn in orchestras, bands, chamber groups, and musical pits.
COLLABORATIVE ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
During her undergraduate years, Brenda Reinebach double majored in Vocal Performance and Music Education, with a piano performance major, and won a South Carolina State performance competition with the Saint-Saëns Concerto in G Minor. Moving to CA in 1985, she assumed directorship of the piano classes at Azusa Pacific University along with the Department of Vocal Performance. Her keyboard skills as a church musician, collaborative pianist, and keyboard improviser run the gamut from Christian contemporary classical to commercial literature.

Additionally, my friends here at CBU have all been so influential to me throughout school. I am constantly feeling refreshed and inspired by the brilliant musicians around me. Above all, I am thankful for strength God has provided me with the beauty that He shows us through music and Creation.
