Historically, both the housing market and economy have been cyclical. After years of declining real estate values, stabilization is finally at hand. The indicators reflect mixed results for mid-year 2014 compared to the same time period a year earlier. Sales activity in most categories increased, and inventory levels remained close to stable, or decreased. However changes in the average sales prices varied in different market segments. The overall data suggests that a positive change in our local real estate market is well underway.
