ACTIVITIES GUIDE 2023-2024

Introduction At Somerhill we believe that every part of a child’s education is inter-connected, and our clubs and activities allow learning to take place beyond the classroom. Guided by our excellent teachers and carefully selected external providers, our clubs offer a range of opportunities to enhance creativity, collaboration, sporting skills and engage with the wider community.

School Clubs Somerhill offers over 70 clubs each term for pupils from pre-school to Year 8. The majority of clubs are run by Somerhill teaching staff with external providers for some activities. They cover sporting activities, arts and creativity as well as some extension academic subjects. Clubs run from Monday to Friday after the end of the school day, however some are run before school. Music groups are run during break and lunch times at school. Sign up for clubs is termly for clubs run by our teaching staff as our clubs do change seasonally. External clubs are booked directly with the provider and fees apply. All clubs clearly state the year groups for whom they are appropriate and where appropriate, e.g. Brass Group, may be by invitation only.

Clubs and Activities

Sign up is via our parent booking system and dates and details are during the preceding term. These camps are run by the Somerhill teaching staff.
