That impact came into sharp focus as CBN celebrated 25 years of ministry in Thailand, a major milestone marked by a joyful gathering of church leaders, ministry partners, and CBN Southeast Asia leadership. The celebration was more than a look back at what God has done; it was a moment of renewed vision, unity, and momentum for the future. As CBN continues sowing seeds of truth across Thailand, lives are being transformed for Christ—because partners like you make it possible.
A FRESH START THROUGH FAITH AND HARD WORK
CBN partners helped families in Thailand rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose
For years, Sompong pursued a path that left him feeling empty, burdened by debt, and distant from the life God intended. But when he returned home to Chiang Mai, everything changed. He prayed for a new beginning—a job that honored God and provided for his family.
Behind the scenes, Operation Blessing teams were already at work— identifying struggling families, partnering with local churches, and equipping entrepreneurs with training, tools, and mentorship to build sustainable businesses. Because of faithful partners like you, that support reached Sompong at exactly the right moment.
With that help, he opened a small motorbike repair shop—run with prayer, integrity, and gratitude. Where he once struggled to cover basic expenses, scraping by on meager meals with his family, his income has now doubled. Today, he earns enough not only to meet his needs, but to tithe and bless others.
“God opened every door,” he said.
“Now I can help others too.”

hat would it feel like to run for your life in the middle of the night—grabbing your child and leaving everything behind? No time to think. No time to plan. For families facing war, floods, and earthquakes, that moment comes without warning. Fear rises. Darkness closes in. And parents are left asking, “How will we survive?”
Long before disaster strikes, CBN’s Operation Blessing is already preparing— pre-positioning supplies, training rapid-response teams, and building trusted networks with local organizations and ministries so help can move the moment crisis hits. Because you give, trucks are loaded, water systems are ready, and relief teams deploy at a
moment’s notice—often within hours. When the unthinkable happens, CBN’s partners are already there.
As Psalm 46:1 (NKJV) promises, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Again and again, God uses compassionate partners like you to become that help—right on time.
TUMAINI AND THE WAR IN CONGO
Tumaini fled for her life when war overtook her village in the Democratic Republic of Congo. She escaped with only one child. Her husband is missing, and her future is uncertain.
“I came here with nothing,” she said.
In a refugee camp in Burundi, she faced hunger, uncertainty, and overwhelming loss. “I didn’t even have a container for drinking water.”
But caring friends like you reached her at just the right moment.
Through Operation Blessing, Tumaini received food, cooking oil, beans, and essentials like a pot and water container—restoring both survival and dignity.
“Today, I have my own pot, … my own container for water,” she said. “It feels wonderful.”
What seemed like the end became a beginning—because generous people like you stepped in when it mattered most.
CHARIE MAE AND THE FLOODS IN THE PHILIPPINES
For Charie Mae, disaster struck in the dark.
As floodwaters rose through the night, she gathered her children and ran, unsure what they would return to. By morning, her home—and everything in it—was gone.
“I cried for days,” she said. “Our home was no more.”
Because of faithful supporters like you, Operation Blessing teams were already mobilizing—distributing
food, safe water, hygiene kits, mats, and blankets to families in need.
Mobile water systems restored clean drinking water where contamination threatened communities.
Even small personal touches reminded families they weren’t alone—and someone like you cared enough to act.
“Thank God for the generous hearts who blessed us,” Charie Mae said. “We won’t give up!”
KHINE AND THE EARTHQUAKE IN MYANMAR
Khine was raising her young son alone—and caring for a widowed friend and her daughter—when an earthquake destroyed their home.
“I was filled with sorrow,” she said. “We no longer had a home.”
Within 24 hours, Operation Blessing teams were on the ground— delivering food, water, medical care, and comfort. Then came something greater: rebuilding hope.
Because of support from compassionate partners like you, Khine and others received help through Operation Blessing.
Today, Khine and her family sleep in
a safe, sturdy home.
“It’s more than a shelter,” she said. “It’s a home filled with love, hope, and new beginnings.”

She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.

Marriage has been a complicated road for me. At 20, I signed divorce papers of my own choosing, and six months later, I was married to someone new. Years later, when I recommitted my life to Jesus and began reading the Bible, I would cringe whenever I reached Proverbs 31. I felt instantly disqualified. I could relate to being a hard worker and caring for my family, but I couldn’t imagine being described as clothed with strength and dignity. All I saw was sin and failure. I knew I was saved, but I didn’t understand that I was also redeemed.
Jesus said, “I am the gate. … I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:9-10). That full life begins when we allow Him not only to secure our eternity—but to redeem every part of our story. As I learned this, I sensed the Lord whisper, “Do you think My grace is limited?” I realized I was the one holding back renewal—clinging to shame while His banner over me was “loved,” “chosen,” and “redeemed.”
God gave me a vision of standing on a hill overlooking a beautiful property.
The main house glowed with warm light, and lanterns lined the path. Many open gates led to it, and I felt its safety. When I hesitated, wondering if I belonged, people ran from the house shouting, “She’s home!” With each step forward, I dropped the bags I carried: shame, guilt, insecurity, fear, failure.
My challenge to you is this: When you read Scripture, where do you feel disqualified or ashamed? Let God redeem those hidden places and exchange your heavy bags for His banner of love.

“Adam and Eve committed original sin, which brought a curse on mankind. Why do we have to feel the consequences of their sin and rebellion?”
That’s a thoughtful question—and one that reaches to the heart of human nature. The consequence of the Fall isn’t just separation from God; it’s also the knowledge of good and evil. With that awareness came judgment—and not only toward others, but toward ourselves. Think about it: Psychologists say most of our inner thoughts are negative. We constantly rehearse our mistakes—I should have… I could have… I failed again. That kind of thinking brings stress, worry, and even physical problems like high blood pressure.
But here’s the good news: Jesus came to free us from that endless selfcondemnation. The Bible says He cleanses us from all unrighteousness and presents us spotless before God with joy.
So, when those accusing thoughts surface, remember that’s the legacy of Adam and Eve—but the legacy of Christ is freedom and grace. He invites you to stop judging yourself and rest in His forgiveness.

Strength to Endure, Power to Overcome
When we reach out to help people suffering from disasters or other ordeals, it’s important to offer practical assistance, but it’s even more important to offer the life-changing hope of Jesus Christ.
Difficulties are not a sign that God has abandoned us, but a reality of a fallen world. Jesus Himself promised in John 16:33 (NKJV), “In the world you will have tribulation.” Yet then He immediately declared, “But be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
Jesus prefaced that promise with this surprising declaration: “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace.”
He wants us to be assured that the victory has already been won. We are living in the “in-between” world—between what He accomplished for us on the cross and the establishment of the fullness of His kingdom.
The pain is real, but so is the promise. Jesus understands suffering intimately. He walked through it, bore it, and overcame it. And because of that, our trials are never without purpose.
Instead of blaming God or asking why something happened, we should ask, “Lord, how will You lead me through this?” That shift changes everything. It opens the door for His presence, His wisdom, and His power to meet us right where we are.
Another simple but powerful prayer is, “Lord, have mercy.” In that, we can find His sustaining grace and comfort.
Romans 8:17 says that if we share His suffering, we will also share His glory. Our trials are not wasted—they are refining us, like fire purifies silver and gold. And 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all our cares on Him, for He cares for you.
A day is coming when God will wipe away every tear, when pain and sorrow will cease forever. That future reality gives us strength for today.
So be of good cheer. He has overcome—and in Him, so will you.
