TRANSFORMING BURDENS

INTO BLESSINGS Despite hardship, Paulino had spent his entire life in the remote community of Llinquipata, Peru. “Life here is quiet and beautiful,” he shared. “The only bad thing is that we don’t have good water to drink.” As an elderly widower, he worked tirelessly to support himself, often walking an hour to fetch water from unsafe sources. The contaminated water caused sickness for many in the community, including children. “We cannot live without water,” he explained. “As I grow older, the fatigue sets in more.” But CBN’s Operation Blessing arrived with a life-changing solution. Our team built a new water system with a storage tank and chlorine dispenser to help distribute treated water to every household through a network of pipes. We also installed biodigester bathrooms that provide a shower, toilet, sink, and cleaning supplies for each home. Thanks to the faithful support of friends like you, clean water now flows into Llinquipata. With immeasurable gratitude, Paulino said, “It was hard to live in such conditions, but now we are blessed.”

The ongoing war has intensified suffering—driving up the cost of living, deepening poverty, and leaving families struggling with trauma and loss. Yet in the midst of this hardship, you are helping to meet the practical and emotional

needs of Israelis in distress. Thanks to your unwavering support, CBN Israel continues to provide ongoing humanitarian relief to those in need.

FEEDING THE HUNGRY

When the war forced farmers to abandon their fields, unharvested crops led to food shortages and rising prices. But with your generosity, CBN Israel expanded its support for food rescue and distribution efforts. Through CBN Israel and our local partners, you helped provide more than 1.6 million pounds of nutritious food and 30,000 hot meals to families, Holocaust survivors, and other hungry people. REBUILDING COMMUNITIES

After the murderous rampage of Hamas terrorists on October 7, 2023, entire communities in southern Israel were forced to evacuate. The destruction made these neighborhoods impossible to live in, and thousands of Israelis remain displaced almost two years later. Thanks to your help, CBN Israel was able to partner with a few of those kibbutzim that were hit the hardest, including Nirim and Kfar Aza—both just a half mile from the Gaza Strip. With your generous gifts, we’ve helped these communities rebuild critical buildings that will allow families to return to their homes. “We received an amazing gift from CBN, and we are restoring and constructing a new dining hall and kitchen,” said Dafna Ben Ami, Nirim’s community relations director. “We have our kibbutz store that is also being constructed with the help of CBN. We are going to have a beautiful place to gather together for the holidays and the Sabbath.”

Your kindness turned their devastation into restoration. CBN Israel also brought comfort and emotional healing to children who were evacuated from their homes through a mobile animal therapy unit. This initiative has provided a safe, nurturing environment where children suffering from PTSD can experience joy and stability again.

HEALING TRAUMA

The war has had a staggering impact on the psychological and emotional wellbeing of Israelis. The nation’s mental health care system has been overwhelmed, and many people aren’t able to get the care they need. Seeing this demand for trauma care, CBN Israel has stepped in and— thanks to your generosity—is launching a resilience center in cooperation with Regent University. Located in the outskirts of Jerusalem, the CBN Israel Resilience Center will offer expert care with a team of psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and therapists—working with both adults and children. The goal is to provide holistic

support for those affected through individual counseling plus workshops and support groups.

CARING FOR FAMILIES IN CRISIS: A LIFELINE FOR THE VULNERABLE Your support is also helping families like Razan’s—who at only 26, lost her mother to a Hezbollah rocket that destroyed the family’s home.She was then left to care for her three younger siblings while her father was unable to work due to his grief. With your help, CBN Israel is accompanying the family on their journey, bringing food, financial relief, and comfort. “This is the first time I have been able to share our story,” Razan told us. “You gave me, my siblings, and my father a chance to move forward.”

In Luke 15, Jesus tells us the story of a wayward son who squandered his inheritance in wild living. When he returned home, his father welcomed him with open arms. “The father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found’” (vv. 22-24). The father’s other son was angry when he saw that a party was being thrown for his unfaithful brother. “I’ve been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat to celebrate with my friends” (v. 29). The father reminded the older brother that he was not one of his workers, he was his son. He was complaining about a goat even though he had been given an entire farm! I can relate to that older son. I have sometimes thought that my good behavior warranted God’s blessing. The truth is God’s blessings are always freely given and totally undeserved. We are blessed, not because of what we do, but because of who He is and because we are His children. In His wisdom as our Father, He does not bless us all in the same way. But He is, and always will be, the pure essence of unconditional love and acceptance. Scripture is quoted from the NIV.

What does “speaking life” over someone mean? Our words hold incredible power. Just as God spoke the world into existence, we can have an impact by what we say. Proverbs 18:21 reminds us: Death and life are in the power of the tongue (nkjv). This means our words can either bring life and blessings or harm and devastation. When we speak life over others, we bless and encourage them. But when we curse or speak negatively, we risk planting seeds of destruction. Even if the person doesn’t hear our words, the effects can linger. Many adults carry wounds from harmful things spoken over them as children—words that shaped their self-worth and outlook on life. James 3:9-10 warns us about the tongue’s power: With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. ... My brethren, these things ought not to be so. So, speak blessings over your children, grandchildren, and those around you. Prophesy good things, speak life, and you’ll see the fruit of your words in their lives—and yours!

In the heart of a struggling community, Ampon’s story of resilience shines bright. Once unemployed and desperate, this 33-year-old father found hope through CBN’s Operation Blessing. With the support of faithful partners, Ampon transformed his cooking skills into a thriving sticky rice and deep-fried pork business. “Before I joined this program, I was unemployed for quite a while,” Ampon shared. “I asked the church for temporary accommodation support.” Now, just two hours of daily sales provide steady income for his family. Ampon’s wife, Mhoo, added, “We were able to pay off some of our debt by selling fried pork. We can now take care of our family.” This life-changing opportunity not only improved their financial situation, but it also restored their dignity and hope. Ampon could not contain his gratitude when he said, “It has changed my life. I can generate an income for my daily living. Thank you so much!” Through the unwavering generosity of CBN partners, families like Ampon’s are finding new paths to stability and success.

The Eternal love of Our Father

When I became a grandfather not too long ago, I was reminded of how much I learned about God when I became a new dad. That experience opened up a link for me to have a glimpse of what God is feeling about us. I had known that God loves His children—yet it became real to me in a new way about how God truly feels about us. When my children were born, I remember thinking, “Yes, I would give my life; I would give anything for them. I want so much for them. They come from me, they are a part of me, and I want them to have everything. I want them to grow up to be strong and have every blessing.” Our heavenly Father looks at us as His dear children, and He earnestly desires to have an intimate relationship with each one of us. In fact, God loves us so much that He sent His only beloved Son to pay the price for our sins (John 3:16). And when we trust in Jesus, we can boldly enter the Father’s presence, knowing that He is always eager to hear and answer our prayers. In Matthew 6:9-13 (nkjv), Jesus teaches His followers to approach God with that confidence by praying: “Our Father in heaven … . Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.” God knows you by name, He knows everything that you’ve ever done, and He still loves you. He will forgive you, provide for you, lead you, and protect you—and He wants you to be with Him for all eternity. And that’s why we can celebrate a happy Father’s Day—and Grandfather’s Day!
