Q.

I’ve given my heart to Jesus, but sometimes I still sin. Does that make me a slave to sin?

A. The Bible says that he that is born of God does not continuously sin. But we are all human beings made of flesh, so of course, we will sin, and we will have temptation. The theologian John Wesley said there was not a day that didn’t go by that he didn’t plead the blood of Christ over his own life. When we pray, we need to remember the blood that Christ shed so that we could have forgiveness from our sins. As we walk in the light as He is in the light, we will be drawn to have fellowship with other believers and remember that the blood of Christ continuously cleanses us from all sin. Even as a Christian, you are not going to be free from sin until the day you die and are transported into heaven. We are in the flesh, and the flesh is always warring against us. What we need to do is put to death the deeds of the flesh that we might live for the Lord. That is the process of sanctification. Our goal as believers should be to grow closer and closer to Jesus as we live our lives. communicate with us and we can communicate with them.
