Dear friends, “By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.” John 15:8 ESV Welcome to the August edition of your very own REACH magazine! This CBN publication is specially created for you, to bless you, inspire you and ultimately to encourage your walk with Jesus. I hope you enjoy reading this latest edition which is all about the ‘Fruit of the Spirit’.

We are called to live out our faith each day, which goes hand in hand with the practical outworking of our faith. The Bible teaches us that ‘faith without works is dead.’ (James 2:17). After time alone with God, in December 2019 I was inspired to and set our CBN Europe theme for 2020 as ‘Hope in Action’. Since the start of the global pandemic and going into “lockdown” early in March 2020, our theme took on a deeper spiritual and practical meaning for the ministry. We want to see the Name of Jesus lifted high over this nation, the nations of the world – and over every situation. In His Name there is healing, restoration, hope and eternal life!

When God created Adam and Eve, He blessed them and commanded them to ‘be fruitful and multiply.’ (Genesis 1:28). God always wanted us to be productive and bear fruit. He created us to steward the resources He has entrusted to us, to see them grow, multiply, and prosper.

What God has declared in the spiritual,

we see manifest in the natural. God’s creative purpose is for growth and multiplication. Pandemic or not, He does not want us to remain where we are, but to grow in Him and become perfected and mature in our walk with Him. The apostle Paul assures us that ‘the one who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus’. We are His work in progress!

As CBN partners you are living out your faith in practical ways, as you share hope through daily programmes such as the 700 Club, Superbook and more. As we partner together to make an impact, we see fruit that lasts in the lives of our beneficiaries. You enable us -through the CBN Hope Line to pray with people in need to see breakthrough, restoration and hope in every situation!

Be encouraged and don’t grow tired of doing good but, keep pressing into Jesus. Thank you for your partnership with CBN, your financial support and for all your prayers. We thank God for the fruit that lasts, as He continues to grow us, shape us and helps us to bear more fruit!

Please Pass the Blessings The story of Jacob sounds like a soap opera, yet God was in the midst of it. Jacob and Esau were the twin sons of Isaac and grandsons of Abraham. Before their birth, God told Rebekah, “Two nations are in your womb … and the older shall serve the younger” (Genesis 25:23). Jacob tried to be first from the beginning, grabbing Esau’s heel as he was born; thus his name means heel-grabber.

Jacob was also a good cook, and it was for a bowl of his stew that Esau traded away his birthright as the eldest son. Later, Esau took two Hittite wives who were a grief to his parents. Rebekah then helped Jacob trick Isaac into blessing him instead of Esau. When Esau planned to kill Jacob, Rebekah convinced Isaac to send Jacob away to find a wife among her relatives.

Genesis 28:10 tells us, Jacob went out from Beersheba. Often, when you take that first step of faith on a journey, God meets you there. Jacob dreamed of a ladder from earth to heaven—and there God spoke to him.

He wrestled all night with God, who said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed” (Genesis 32:28). If life had been easy, would Jacob have learned?

Although he fell in love with Rachel, Jacob the trickster was tricked by his Uncle

Laban into marrying her older sister first.

The two wives were bitter rivals, involving their servants in a race to have children— twelve son’s total.

The key to the story is that Isaac had blessed Jacob: “May God Almighty bless you and give you many children. And may your descendants multiply and become many nations! May God pass on to you and your descendants the blessings he promised to Abraham” (Genesis 28:3-4 NLT).

This was God’s plan. The blessings God gave Abraham were passed to Isaac, who bestowed them on Jacob. Through him came the twelve tribes of Israel, then the Messiah.

So, give thanks for what God has done, then pray over your family and bless them all. Pass along the wonderful blessings that God has freely given to you. As Galatians 3:14 says, Through Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing he promised to Abraham (NLT). God bless you.

Ministry Update UK, Europe & Beyond

Thanks to your help, prayers and support to CBN. We continue to share hope to people in need, here in the United Kingdom, Ireland, across Europe and Australasia! We thank God for your generous support and for putting your faith in action. God is blessing our ministry projects and is multiplying every gift, answers every prayer to see increased fruit from our efforts! Here are the latest ministry updates to demonstrate to you the impact of your support to CBN.

How does CBN Europe’s ministry impact lives?

Media. CBN started broadcasting The 700 Club in October 1961 and this year, we commemorate 60 years of media ministry! These years have culminated in CBN producing multiple programmes in 70 languages, within 174 countries and territories. In our region of Europe and Australasia, we broadcast CBN programmes in 20 languages on more than 30 TV stations. We also create online content through social media platforms, on our websites and mobile apps, such as the free Superbook Bible App as well as the CBN Family app with partner premiums.

Children’s Ministry. 40 years ago, CBN created the animated Bible series ‘Superbook’ This media rich animated series engages children and families with the Bible in a creative and memorable way, bringing the Bible alive for children aged 6 to 12 years old. Superbook has been translated to 56 languages, viewed in 123 countries with episodes broadcast to over 200 million viewers. We have completed the 5th season of the latest Superbook series. Working with various ministry partners in Europe we have translated Superbook into 20 languages and created additional resources around series. Our CBN Europe HQ team in the UK has developed virtual resources that are freely available to support schools and teachers with RE lessons and assemblies. Superbook is also part of the RE school curriculum in Wales.

Prayer Ministry. We provide follow up ministry through the CBN Hope Line to viewers who have questions about faith, God or would like for someone to pray with them. We receive thousands of calls each month through our UK, Australasia and German prayer lines.

We stand in faith with our callers and ask God to provide for every need daily. We see great breakthroughs

Humanitarian Projects. We love putting our faith into action through

CBN MINISTRY HIGHLIGHTS | 7 our humanitarian projects. For more than 40 years, CBN’s humanitarian arm - Operation Blessing has alleviated human suffering for millions of people in more than 90 countries around the world. In Europe, our humanitarian projects have impacted vulnerable families in England and Wales, Croatia, and Greece. Our teams are ready to provide emergency relief to families when disaster strikes such as earthquakes in countries like Croatia and Albania and during floods in the UK. We support families who during such crisis have lost not only their homes but their precious mementos and lack other basic necessities.

The pandemic brought to the fore food insecurity, and we stepped in with Hope Boxes. CBN also takes children from at risk to thriving through Orphan’s Promise projects in Europe.

We operate projects in Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, and Germany. In Germany and The Netherlands, we reach out to trafficked women to provide hope.

What are the CBN teams currently involved with?

There is so much to share! To give you a good overview, here are the latest updates from our CBN teams on the ground: CBN United Kingdom & Ireland In recent months we ministered to over 1800 people through the Hope Line.

We were privileged lead 8 people in their decision to accept Jesus in their lives! Several other callers recommitted their lives to the Lord.

Yvonne phoned with a praise report.

She had been deaf in her right ear for

40 years and while watching the 700 Club on an afternoon, she received healing. She can now hear well in her right ear, praise God! We received 6 new volunteers on the Hope Line and are looking forward to growing the Hope Prayer Team to make a greater impact.

We initiated Ministry update segments from our Regional Director Mark. These CBN Europe’s ministry impact segments are shared on social media and are available on YouTube and Facebook.

Sharing a message of hope during this time of great hopelessness in a pandemic brought the team together to write and release: “Let Hope Arise” a CBN booklet launched to encourage and bless you. For more information go to www.cbneurope.com/hope or call our Hope Line for a print version.

CBN Germany Project Jericho was inspired by a word from the Lord to encourage us to ‘break down the walls’. As a result, we have created space within our German office in Hamburg and built our own media studio! We are making good progress and already testing by recording some short segments for our ‘Erlebt’ TV programme. Thanks to CBN partners for their generous support towards the construction and much needed equipment. Our team is so excited!

To celebrate 40 years of Superbook ministry we will be taking part in the Superbook virtual race, alongside our UK and Balkan offices. We pray many people will take part and help us raise

We are publishing our first Bible reading plan on YouVersion, to encourage readers in their faith.

CBN Balkans Superbook Season 3 in Croatian premiered on YouTube. Every week we focused on one episode and organised a Watch party online on Saturday mornings. Every Saturday we received more followers!

‘Sabine K’ is a film based on a true story about a divorced mother of two small children who falls in love with Sasa, an old friend from the Bosnian war. This story of redemption shares hope to young people who can identify with the story. Our CBN Balkan office is distributing this movie and providing follow up ministry.

The town of Petrinja that was destroyed during a recent earthquake. Operation Blessing disaster relief teams went to provide support to those affected.

We visited 4 schools where we shared the Gospel in schools and built bridges between Protestant and Catholic believers. The children watched Superbook on the big screen and learned about the importance of helping each other and accept help from others. Gizmo, from Superbook was there too and the kids loved taking pictures with him! We handed out Superbook ‘survival’ back packs full of goodies.

CBN Moldova We organised a children’s event in Chisinau with Superbook and Gizmo.

Participants watched Bible stories, played games and activities. Andrea

who took part had just turned 6. His favourite episode is ‘A Giant Adventure’, about David and Goliath which helps him to be confident in God. Doina, who leads our CBN Moldova office, took part in the Moldova ‘Relay of Faith’, visiting 25 villages and traveling 232 km by bicycle. The team prayed over every village and helped elderly people with shopping, painting, and other practical tasks.

Other Updates: We are sharing the Gospel through media in Portugal in parthership with the Evangelical Alliance, RTP2 (national tv station) and a Christian TV station Kuriakos TV. We have open doors for Superbook episodes in schools and churches. We will soon launch our website with resources to make a greater impact.

Superbook will soon be available in Italy through satellite and cable TV! sharing the first 13 episodes of Superbook to Italian speaking viewers.

We are also in the process of launching a YouTube channel and social media pages.

Biblical Israel: Dan Spring

By Marc Turnage The land of Israel did not merely provide the stage upon which biblical events played out, its flora, fauna, climate, and geology provide the images, metaphors, and vocabulary that biblical writers used to communicate their message whether in narrative, poetry, or prophecy. There are places within Israel today where one can stand within the geography used by the biblical writers and feel and hear, within the setting, the message they sought to communicate. The Dan Spring is one of those places.

The spring acquires its name from the biblical site of Dan, the northernmost city within biblical Israel. Located at the base of the foothills of Mount Hermon, it provides the largest of the three springs whose tributaries come together south of the site of Dan to form the Jordan River. The Dan Spring produces roughly 240 million cubic meters per year. With such a large amount of water coming from the spring, especially in the winter and spring of the year when the rains and snowmelt add to it, the sound of the Dan tributary roars as it flows towards the meeting point to form the Jordan.

In Psalm 42, we find use of the Dan Spring for the psalmist’s poetry: “As a deer longs for flowing streams, so my soul longs for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and behold the face of God? … My soul is cast down within me; therefore I remember you from the land of Jordan and of Hermon, from Mount Mizar. Deep calls to deep at the thunder of your cataracts; all your waves and your billows have gone over me” (42:1-7; emphasis added).

The psalmist begins by likening his desire for God to a deer craving the streams of water from springs, like the Dan. Although lush with vegetation, the summer heat and humidity of the region of the Dan Spring is difficult for animals and humans. He finds himself in the region of the Dan Spring (the italicized portions) and feels overwhelmed with the roar of the gushing spring.

Traveling to the land of Israel is more than visiting sites. It should transform how we read and interact with the physical reality of the land of the Bible.

CBN READ

DITCH THE ROTTEN FRUIT

I wonder how often you have gone to the refrigerator or the fruit bowl to find that the fruit you recently bought has begun to perish? At that time, you can choose to remove the perishing item or leave it to decay, causing the other fruit around it to decompose. There is something about rotten fruit that is unattractive, and unless dealt with appropriately, the smell will linger, and the fruit will shrivel up and decay and affect other fruit.

The Bible talks about the Fruits of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23, “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and selfcontrol” and that these fruits are produced and outworked by the Holy Spirit in our lives. These fruits are all good and rightly so; however, in verses 19-21 there are “bad and rotten fruit,” which are the works of the flesh or also referred to as “the sinful nature”.

“When you follow the desires of your

sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarrelling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these.” (NLT) We often do not like to consider the effects of these rotten fruits. In fact, we tend to skip over them. However, unless dealt with properly, the consequences have serious repercussions.

Like rotten fruit, they soon begin to affect our lives and begin to negatively influence those around us. Daily, we choose either to continue following the desires of the flesh or we decide to get rid of the rotten fruit and allow the fruits of the Spirit to be evident in our lives.

The choices we make, ultimately determine whether we walk in peace or discord. Each choice positively

or negatively affects us not only individually, but equally impacts those around us.

In Luke 6:43-45 (NLT), Jesus says: “A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit. A tree is identified by its fruit. Figs are never gathered from thornbushes, and grapes are not picked from bramble bushes. A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.”

From these verses, we see that the mouth is an indicator of the condition of the heart. For out of the abundance (the overflow) of the heart, the mouth speaks. The words that we speak have creative power. They either build up or tear down; they are either life-giving words or words of death

that destroy. The fruit displayed may appear genuine, but it is not until it is eaten, that we really see the effect of the roots. In other words, the ‘taste’ of our fruit is the indicator of our heart’s condition.

Every day, how we choose to speak will impact us as individuals and those we communicate with. Let us determine to get rid of the rotten fruit and deal with the roots of bitterness, allowing the Holy Spirit to do a deep, cleansing work so that we will overflow with the fruit of a pure heart as we speak.

They Called Him Monster When ZaiXin heads outside, it’s not to play with friends. He works. And has spent months planting and selling trees to help raise money for his little brother ZaiFu, who was born with a cleft lip and palate.

“When I first saw it,” ZaiXin says, “I knew I had to do something.” Mrs. Li wearily adds, “Without surgery, my son wouldn’t live long. He could not even sleep because he could not close his mouth. And because of the gap in ZaiFu’s face from his cleft lip, he breathed in dust all the time.” ZaiFu caught colds easily and had lung problems, so he ended up in the hospital a lot. “My son was trapped in a state of sickness. The hospital became his second home,” Mrs. Li shares. “I was so worried about how I could pay for all of this by myself.”

Every day, ZaiXin asked his mother how much more money they needed for his brother’s surgery. They were not even close, and Mrs. Li could not get a loan from the bank. So ZaiXin decided to drop out of school to help his mother. She says, “He asked me to buy more corn seed so he could plant it, and we would have a bigger crop to sell.”

“I would be devastated if ZaiFu died,” expresses ZaiXin. He continues with valour, “So I would give every penny in my pocket for him. It did not matter how hard it would get for me - even if I had to starve. I wanted my brother to be healthy and have surgery.” But ZaiFu’s lip and health got worse. He could not walk or talk, and soon people around town started making fun of him. His mother remembers sadly, “They called him a monster.”

Then Mrs. Li heard that CBN’s Operation Blessing was co-sponsoring cleft lip and palate surgeries for poor children, so she signed ZaiFu up right away.

ZaiXin could not wait to see his brother. He recalls, “When I finally saw him, I was amazed.” His mother adds, “ZaiFu has no problem swallowing. I cannot help smiling every time I see him. It’s like a dream come true.” ZaiXin concludes, “When my brother grows up, I will make sure he knows it was people from CBN who helped fix his lip. And you will be his role model.”

Fired For Taking a Soup Bone Cambodia

Every morning at 4am, Channu walked to work with his mum to this meat processing facility in Cambodia. Here they sliced meat, rendered and cut bones. Channu helps his mum with cleaning up and heavy lifting, even though he is not yet a teenager. Channu dropped out of school to work, even though his mum is the only one who got paid.

His mum, Keo, told CBN that because Channu helps her work a bit faster, she earns a little bit extra. Without his help, she admitted that her family might starve.

Even with his help, Keo only earns about $3 dollars for a 15-hour shift! “I don’t make enough for 3 meals. We never have breakfast,” said the single mother with sadness in her eyes.

Sometimes they resorted to eating weeds and tubers from a swamp just to survive.

One day Channu got so hungry that he stole a bone from the slaughterhouse to make soup for his family. “When the boss caught me, I felt so ashamed and I cried,” Channu admitted. Then his mum got fired because of what he had done.

“We left that place filled with shame,” said Keo. Keo was out of work for months and food got even more scarce. She tried to get a job at a sewing factory where she had once worked. But it had shut down. Then Keo met a Christian pastor supported by CBN’s Orphan’s Promise.

First, we gave the family a supply of food. Then, we gave Keo a new sewing machine and supplies to start a sewing business.

“With the machine I am repairing clothes, making tablecloths and I make lots of kid’s school uniforms, like I did when I worked in the factory,” said Keo with a confident smile. “Now my boys will never starve again!”

Channu has now returned to school with a uniform made by his mum and his grades are soaring. The family has prayed to become Christians. And Channu even returned to the factory where he once worked and made restitution for the bone he had stolen. He told CBN that he “felt so light” after he did that!

“CBN’s Orphan’s Promise gave us the sewing machine, food and uniform to me!

I want to say thank you for helping us with everything!” added the young boy with a smile.

If I encounter a caller who is nervous about calling the CBN Hope Line, I will say that it is not an accident that they call us today. It is a great reminder of the Lord’s grace in our lives when we get to stand in faith with new and fellow believers especially in times of waiting. There’s nothing special about us actually, it’s all glory to the Lord. We all put our faith in the Lord and trust in His wisdom in all circumstances. - James.

Over the last few years there have been countless answers to prayer but some of the most memorable have been those who have been suffering with malignant, long-term illnesses and have been completely healed of tumours and cancers. These testimonies never cease to amaze and encourage my faith. - Sarah I can remember praying and having a word of knowledge for a lady who was in significant amount of debt. I said that God was going to clear her debt and her testimony would speak to her unsaved family. One month later she phoned back and said that a miracle had taken place and her debts were cleared and her family were amazed.

- Allen Is there a particular call you remember when God has moved powerfully?

There are so many that it is hard to pick one! On several occasions I have been on the line with someone and ended up praying with them plus a family member who had just walked in the room at the right time. I had the privilege of leading that person to Christ. – Sue I have had a few calls where people

were facing similar trials to me and as God spoke through me to encourage the caller, I found He was also encouraging and strengthening me too. - Esther What do you find most rewarding about being a part of the CBN Hope Line prayer team?

The most rewarding part for me about being a part of the CBN Hope Line is being God’s instrument to be able to encourage, pray and minister to people who are broken. - Eliza What I love about being a part of the CBN Hope line is that God can use me to share the love of Christ and to stand with them in their circumstances. For me, it is a great privilege. - Hideaki What do you find most challenging about being a part of the CBN Hope Line prayer team?

Being on the prayer team is such a privilege but it does make you more vulnerable to spiritual attacks, as we are daily sharing God’s love and grace with people. I have definitely felt and been aware of times it feels like everything is coming up against me and it’s tough, but God’s grace is sufficient, and he carries me through.

- Esther It is an honour to pray and stand with individuals but the desire to see people encounter Jesus for themselves as many are in habit of asking us to pray without also praying for their own situations. Also, due to the number of calls that we are handling daily we do not get the time to really give and invest in our callers. - Allen

CBN Australasia Zechariah 4:10 tells us “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin….”

As we approach six months since launching CBN Australasia, I am grateful and amazed to see how God is blessing the region through this initiative. We have the Australasia Hope Line with a team of 4 full time partner support staff taking prayer calls and providing partner support for the region. Even with a slow start to this new project, and while discouragement can come, we are trusting that God has his hand on this initiative, and we choose to stand on Philippians 4:6: ‘Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.’ With this encouragement the Australasia Team has been a blessing and as helping the UK team handle the UK calls too and integrate into one team with greater reach than we would be able to achieve.

As we give this initiative over to God, we also humbly ask that you, as a supporter of CBN, would you join us in praying for the region. We are soon launching our Australasia Facebook page and online prayer groups for both Australia and New Zealand on: facebook.com/CBNAustralasia. How did God make the 700 Club successful?

What are the keys to this success, Pat?

A.

The key to that success was God spoke to us and we listened and obeyed. He showed us how to do television, something we didn’t know. And we followed His leading.

One of the things that was important is we started praying for people and they started giving us prayer requests and then we were getting answers— and reporting these answers to prayer.

Of course, there was a lot more. We’ve researched and understood that people like news, and so we began broadcasting the news. The news quality is excellent. And we worked to be very professional and worked to keep improving. We don’t stop. We’re always striving to do something different that makes it better. But the biggest thing, in my opinion, was listening to God and to the needs of the people.

We value that people can communicate with us and we can communicate with them.

ON EAGLES WINGS

Have you ever looked at a storm and wondered what it would be like to fly above it? The closest I have been to this is when flying to another country in an aeroplane. I could see the clouds beneath the plane but the flight was unaffected by those weather clouds below and up there above were the bright sunshine and azure blue skies.

Oh, how we may long to be like that eagle soaring above the Earth and watching, searching and enjoying his flight, effortlessly using the warm air thermals to glide around the skies. The bible talks about God’s children being like that eagle, ‘but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint,’ Isaiah 40:31.

So often these things seem way out of reach and a bit like trying to touch

that plane whilst also standing on the Earth looking up at it. A distant place completely out of our sphere of experience. In our own reality, life can be exhausting, depressing and wearisome but the Lord, ‘has promised good for us and his mercies endure forever’. We are asked to, ‘trust in the Lord with all our heart and do not lean on our own understanding,’ Proverbs 3:5.

How do we do that when all around us there is stress, pain, illness, death, fragile economies, job losses, deprivation and starvation? During these times of trial and suffering we must hold on to the promises of our Lord Jesus. Promises that may not be fulfilled on this side of heaven but will surely come to pass when we are at last with Jesus in His heavenly kingdom. A future that is steadfast, certain and sure and that cannot be

taken away from us so long as we don’t let go of our faith and hope in the Lord Jesus. We must lean on these truths through the pain knowing that these things will one day pass away and then we will be in that place where there is no suffering, no pain, no death, no tears – Oh what a beautiful future we all have as we follow our Lord.

‘For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the Earth,’ Psalm 57:10-11.

In those darkest places of our mind and our soul, when our bodies crumble and degenerate before our very eyes, we still have a Saviour who has promised to never leave us nor forsake us. Jesus says, ‘I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.’

John 16:33. Jesus didn’t promise to rescue us from all our suffering on this Earth but when He returns it will all be returned to the way God the Father originally designed it to be. A beautiful place with all our cares and concerns gone for all eternity. A place where we will leave the shadowlands way behind and go onwards and upwards with Jesus leading the way, endlessly be singing praises to our God and Saviour as we recognise the goodness of God in all His glory, all His Love, all of His Peace, all His Faithfulness. ‘For in him and of him were all things made under heaven and earth and we will return to the place where the Lord God looked at his creation and he, ’saw all that he had made, and it was very good.’

Operation Blessing: Pray that people would come to know Jesus through the work Operation Blessing is doing.

Our project ‘Hope Box’ has seen much growth. Since January this project in our locations in Wales and Croatia has seen many families kept away from hunger through the distribution of hope boxes. We would like to do more boxes to reach the project’s goal and to help as many families in need as possible. Please pray the target is not only met but that it is surpassed.

Please pray that people in need would step out so that this project can help them. Please also pray for the Operation Blessing Warehouse being built in Cwmbran, Wales that this would proceed smoothly.

CBN Australasia: Please pray for work we are doing in Australia and New Zealand. The Australasia Hope Line is open and available to callers from across Australasia for prayer & ministry. Alongside the Hope Line, the new Facebook page is now live!

Media: Please pray for the filming being done for our TV spots and social media. Please pray that these would produce fruit and hope across the world. Please pray that the Gospel would be portrayed in a simple and relatable way and that we would see many come to know Jesus. Pray for production teams for wisdom and creativity.

God is on the move!

Ministry testimonies

Just in Joshua Chapter 4, the Israelites piled up stones for each of the 12 tribes in the Jordan river to remember when the Lord performed a miracle for them, so are we also encouraged to remember and testify of the good things that God has done.

In this edition of the magazine, we continue to lay down in testament of our Lord’s goodness. God has been moving in the lives of our callers and partners and we hope that these testimonies will bless and encourage you as much as they have blessed and encouraged us.

Healing: Barbara testified that she rang in for prayer as acid reflux causing her to feel very low. She reported that a member of the Hope team listened to her, was compassionate and offered to pray. In her heart she felt like refusing prayer but held back this feeling to allow him to pray. Ten minutes later, the 700 Club programme came on and Gordon had a word of knowledge that he saw someone struggling with heartburn. He prayed for healing and Barbara was instantly healed! Praise God! Salvation: Alexandra called in to give a donation. I then asked if I could pray with her and felt the Spirit nudge to dig a little deeper. She did not know Jesus as her Lord and Saviour...now she does! Praise Jesus!

Praise: Mary called to let us know that her prayers regarding her granddaughter’s pregnancy were answered! Mary’s daughter and baby were close to death during labour and rushed into hospital. Mary called us for prayer and was prayed for by a member of the team. She has now rung back to let us know mother and baby are both home and well. Glory to God! Healing: Deborah called in to give testimony that a member of the Hope Team prayed with her. She had fallen down the stairs and was bed bound and in terrible pain. Deborah is now out of bed with absolutely no pain and praising God for a healing miracle.
