Investing in the Next Generation Being a leader of a company is not for the faint of heart. I was introduced to CBMC through my involvement in Trusted Advisor Forums (TAF), which I found invaluable. During our TAF meetings I longed for other business leaders to enjoy the same fellowship, accountability, Bible applications, and counsel. As I was working on selling one of my companies to some younger, bright and energetic men I had mentored, the opportunity to train in leading
Young Professionals (YP) was birthed. I had a YP interest meeting in December 2020 and two YP groups were started in 2021. These meetings have become one of the great privileges of my life. The guest speakers’ (called SAGE’s) wisdom has been incredible. Many times I have heard SAGE’s say, “I wish I had this when I was beginning my career - what you are doing is so important.” I value seeing the YP’s growth
and meeting with some of them outside our monthly meeting. In early 2022 I had the privilege of helping another YP leader as he launched his group. Young men already have energy and ideas; what they
