“…During our first years at Colegio Bolivar, everything felt so easy, through games and songs and dreams to become firefighters, nurses, ballerinas, animal trainers, police men and teachers, we all discovered that we were not the only ones in the world, that outside there were others who were different from us, others who also wanted to play and wanted to sing and had dreams to fulfill, but that to our surprise, were all different from the dreams each one of us had. That’s why since the beginning, granting us a world of diversity, without us
even noticing it, the school taught us to accept others, to tolerate differences because no matter if he was tall and she was small, and the other was fat and freckled, and that other was skinny, blond and blue eyed, we all had to respect one another if we wanted to make our recess and our activities in the playground more pleasant. And without knowing, the lesson was that we must respect others if we ever want to be respected. Life throughout school has taught me three important things; knowledge is real wealth, dedication and effort really pay off and friendship is the one in charge of moving our hearts. Because more than anything, Colegio Bolivar has provided all of us, or at least in my case, a second home, a second family, and probably this is another factor that makes coming to school every day so pleasant. There is nothing more motivating than receiving smiles and grins from every corner and every hall way. …It’s incredible how time has flown. I can’t
believe it’s now our turn to graduate for I can still remember as though it was yesterday our first moments at school. We’ve grown together; we know each other almost perfectly, for we’ve been sharing memories for fourteen years. Approximately 3000 days of our lives have been together. With some I’ve shared more, with some less. Yet, this has definitely been enough time to realize that the school has given me the best brothers and sisters, the best best friends. We all discovered together, that it takes courage to grow up, that’s why together we’ve surpassed all the barriers that have been placed in our way. Together we’ve cried, together we’ve laughed. We’ve been next to each other in times of joy and in times of danger. Each and every one of you has helped me become the person I am today. Thank you for being part of my life, you’ve all captured my heart in your own special way, I simply couldn’t ask God for better people. Thank you all for building so many memories next to me,
