We’re a dog-friendly, family friendly destination winery located north of Ithaca, New York off the west side of Cayuga Lake. Stop by for a tasting, a nosh, or just to hang out with family and friends over a bottle of wine -- we have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and expansive grounds to explore when the weathers nice. In the summer, you can even enjoy a game or two of cornhole out in the backyard, or a stroll by the pond with your pup. We opened in 1981 and are a founding member and anchor winery for the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail. The Winery was originally housed in a small outbuilding, but in 1998 when Joe Gober bought Americana, he immediately began expanding the facilities. The first building added was an outdoor Pavilion in 1999 for parties and events. Then in 2001, the Winery moved into it’s current building –an actual 1820s swing barn that was rescued from demolition, dismantled, moved and reassembled – board by board on site. The Winery opened the Crystal Lake Café in 2006 in the original winery building, and currently offers a rotating deli-style menu, which can be ordered off of right in our Tasting Room. We produce 20+ award-winning wines including crowd faves Baco Noir and our signature Apparition.
