Firstly I would like to welcome all the players, staff and fans from Cleethorpes in what I'm sure will be a very entertaining game. Todays challenge is table topping Cleethorpes. I must admit I've been looking forward to this game for a while now. I know a couple of the Cleethorpes players, they are a very strong side as the league table suggests. We are however on a good run ourselves I'm sure today will be a good to test for both sides. Looking back to Tuesday nights game against Campion, we played some good football especially in the first half, moving the ball quickly in good areas. The players are wanting to get on the ball and play. The chances we are creating I always fancy us to score. Lets hope this continues. The second half we scored the

third to make it 3-0 and I think we thought that was game over but as I keep telling the lads you have to be switched on at all times. Campions first goal gave them belief, then they got the second and all of a sudden the games in the balance. We did managed to find another gear which was pleasing. Another win and another 5 goals at home. We have come a long way in a short space of time, today will be a major test to where we are at. Playing top of any league always excites me. We will need to be switched on at all times. As always lets hope for another entertaining game at Station View with a positive result for the Rail. I urge all the supporters to get behind the boys! Come on!!

Railway travelled to Garforth Town on the back of two wins and a draw in the NCEL Premier League, looking to continue their recent good form. However, it was the hosts who started by far the more brightly. An early corner went across Railway’s penalty box and was met by Luke Kitson who headed back over Ben Ledger in the Locomotive’s goal. 1-0 after just three minutes. Garforth attacked the Harrogate goal with relative ease in the following minutes and it was no surprise when Lee Turner took advantage of some confusion in the Railway penalty box to side-foot the ball carefully past Ledger in the goal and make it 2-0 to Town after just five minutes. It was a worrying time for Railway, as they didn’t seem to be able to cope with the fast-paced Garforth attack that was cutting them wide open. However, the players rolled up their sleeves and started to get more possession. Brandon Deane in particular using his pace to trouble the Garforth Town defence. It was Deane’s pace that created the next opportunity to score. From a throw-in, Brandon with his back to the goal controlled the ball on his chest just in side of the Garforth half and turned and ran straight through the defence. opportunities to score on the edge of the host’s penalty box, but for timely interventions by the Garforth Town keeper and defenders. Going in at half time, Railway were much the happier team as they had managed to claw themselves back from a disastrous start. The second half was controlled largely by Railway. Beesley, Ovington, Sharrocks, Hendrie and Lees all having great opportunities to get Railway that elusive third goal. Toby Lees in particular had a fantastic opportunity to put Harrogate in the lead, when he found himself on the penalty spot with the goal gaping. Lees failed to connect with the looping pass with any real intent and Paul Hagreen in the Garforth Town goal gratefully grabbed the ball to make the save. Garforth Town had a superb chance then to get ahead when the ball ricocheted off a Railway defender and dropped at the feet of Lee Turner. His snap shot rattled the Harrogate crossbar, when a goal looked certain. Hendrie then saw red for a second booking. He tried to control a cross-field ball high on his chest while out on the right wing. The ball skidded off him and out of play for a throw-in to Garforth Town. Hendrie ran back to take up his defensive position, but was then
called across to the referee to receive a second yellow. There had been no appeals by the Town players and the decision to give a second yellow card seemed extremely harsh. Railway were down to ten men in the 78th minute and this provided much encouragement to the hosts. Town went on the attack and forced a brilliant save from Ledger in the final few minutes of the game, when a free kick outside the box dipped viciously forcing him into the stop. From that save, Railway had one final chance to take all three points when they cleared the ball up field. Brandon Deane nearly got on to the end of a through ball by Luca Baravelli. The Town keeper alert to the danger raced out from his penalty box and just got to the ball before the Railway striker to clear the danger. The final whistle blew and the points were shared. Once Railway had got going midway through the first half, they had significantly more possession and the greater number of chances to score. However, early goals meant that they had made life difficult for themselves and to come away with a point from a tricky away fixture is not to be underestimated.

Grimsby Borough, with both clubs playing at The Bradley Football Development Centre in Grimsby.
In 2010, the club merged with LSS Lucarlys and joined the Lincolnshire League.
The trivia surrounding the club is that they play their football in Grimsby, whilst the Town's professional side Grimsby Town play their football in Cleethorpes.
he club was formed in 1998 as Lincolnshire Soccer School by former Grimsby Town and Hull City player Tommy Watson.
After two seasons they joined the Central Midlands League but despite finishing in fourth place the club opted to drop down to the Humber Premier League where they stayed until resigning from that league during the 2009–10 season.

improve confidence and gain consistency of positive performance and results. What about the results ? Well the stats are as follows.
May I congratulate our visitors on an excellent start to the season and obviously at the moment the favourites to win the league and the team to beat.
In the last eight games we have won five, drawn two, and lost only one. We have scored 21 Goals and conceded 14.
Therefore today will undoubtedly be our toughest test since the “Dynamic Duo” of Bees and Liam started to turn the results around.
A great run. Maybe goals against needs improvement I believe the management team would agree, however with attacking flair teams are always going to be vulnerable at the back.
Recently Cleethorpes Town beat Retford 10 - 0 which shows both their fire power and strength at the back. Speaking to Paul after the game on Tuesday he predicted a win for Railway which is the person he is and what I would expect.
Finally I would just like to congratulate the boys and Nicola, and reiterate my passion of will to win, however maintain the reputation of being a wonderful club that behaves with respect and integrity.
Enough about our visitors, what about us? There is no doubt we have a different mentality on the field of play at the moment than we did under Lee.

GARFORTH TOWN NCEL Premier League 3:00pm Saturday 12 November 2016 - Home game The club was formed during 1964 by people from the Yorkshire town of Garforth, as a local pub team called Miners Arms.
to London side Collier Row (now known as Romford). It is the furthest the club have reached in the competition and remains one of their biggest achievements.
At the time Garforth had no pitch to play on, so their home games were played in nearby Swillington. The team stepped up to the West Yorkshire League, a Saturday football league, in 1976. At the same time they acquired their own ground in Garforth, a former rubbish dump on Brierlands Lane. The team were forced to change their name to Garforth Miners to gain election into the Yorkshire Football League in 1978, pub teams not being allowed in the league. Garforth Miners won promotion from Division 3 in 1980 and finished 3rd in 1982, one point behind champions Harrogate Town. On joining the newly formed Northern Counties East Football League (NCEL), Garforth were placed in Division 1 North. They changed their name again in 1985 to their current name. Also that year, after a league reshuffle, Garforth were placed in Division 2 and won promotion at the first attempt. In 1987 Garforth reached the 6th round of the FA Vase, losing 1–2
