Welcome again to my annual Simmental Bull sale, It’s the 16th annual. Always stressing the importance, moderate framed, thick, good uddered cows and stout, high performance bulls. The offering has grown to front end quality bulls in reds, blacks and fullbloods. They are moderate birthweight, thick, soggy, good tempered bulls, as good as you will find anywhere. Many of the red and black bulls are homo polled, and all are the right kind. Each group definitely has true breeder bulls at the front end.

He currently has 400 plus good commercial cows and a small growing group of registered Simmentals. Dustin has the intent, skill and pride in raising great cattle. He’ll be calving approximately 65 registered Simmentals this winter, and is committed to being a quality breeder. His numbers will increase substantially going forward. All bulls will be in the Lloyd Ex by noon February 18th.

Should a problem occur, barring physical injury or mismanagement, a bull of equal value or a credit will be issued towards the purchase of another bull. Cashman is extremely stout made. He’s wide topped with a ton of barrel to his middle and has a big square hip that leads down to wide, deep rear quarter. He stands on a big, solid, square foot, is moderate in frame and has a disposition second to absolutely none. His dam has raised several top end bulls, but really hit a home run with him. Though it’s hard to follow lot 1, Denver can do it. He’s got that stout, deep, thick, moderate frame, and also a quiet, easy demeanor, which makes it so easy to work with. His dam and grandam are both outstanding producers. I doubt you can find a fullblood bull any darker than him. He is another candidate for any front end fullblood breeder in Canada.

Ryker is one chunk of a bull. As thick, stout and deep as they come. Been a pasture favourite all summer. He is quieter than quiet. Easy to work with, you can walk right up to him in a quarter section and he’ll just wait for his scratch. His dam is a Lehne (dam to standout) granddaughter. Diesel is so easy to describe. He’s one heck of a bull! Long, thick, stout, structurally correct and walks out on a great set of feet and legs. His dam is more than a great cow. As a first calf heifer she brought the #1 black bull calf to my sale. She just did it again. Diesel was the heaviest calf of the entire pen at weaning and has never looked back. Erin, Mia, Avery and I would like to welcome you to our first annual sale. Last year has seen some challenges, but overall what a great time to be in the cow/calf business. Mia and Avery have kept Erin busy travelling from rink to rink, and we are finally settled into our new home at the farm. We are very excited to be part of the Westgold sale. I would like to personally thank Ken and look forward to many more years ahead. This year, we are just dipping our feet in so we can hit the ground running with more bulls next year. The bulls we are offering are a solid functional set. Our goal is to raise the best cattle possible, while always keeping the commercial cow/calf producer in mind. We hope that your bull purchase makes you nothing but more profitable. The bulls came home off pasture at the end of October and have been on a TMR since. We strive to make sure they are not over-conditioned to harm their future abilities. Our pens of commercial heifers come straight from the heart of our herd. They are backed by great no fuss cows and should find to be very productive themselves. We are not saving any blacks for our own herd, so the best came here and the rest are going to the market. All born at the end of February, this pen of 3 is full of power and so similar in their makeup. Bred to our fullblood bulls, their mothers are no strangers at the farm. You can expect good udder quality and high performance.

What an opportunity to purchase a moderate set of dark cherry red Simmental heifers out of the keeper pen. They wouldn’t be leaving the farm if we didn’t commit to transitioning to more purebred cattle. The type of heifers that can be bred any direction, expect a quick ROI, as typically these heifers are putting steers in our big package on their first year of production.
