Welcome to the 3rd “Keepin It Simple” female Simmental sale! Thank you for all the support last year as the bidders and buyers made it such a success and we are so pleased that these females have contributed in building and adding to your herd. To be in the cattle business today is paying dividends as this past year we have seen strong cattle prices and the wave looks to be staying steady.
Our females have rewarded us year after year and we are happy to tap into them and offer a select group. Bred heifers, open heifer calves, embryos and semen will be on offer this year! Cow families who are proven, consistent and productive are the type we as breeders would like to offer. Simmental females are hard to beat in the purebred and commercial industry as they stand-out in the pasture, at the feedlots, and in the bull pen. Investing in Simmental genetics will no doubt add value.
We would like to extend a special thank you to three families that have made our lives much more “simple” with the use of their pastures for summer grazing. Thank you to Robert & Elaine Moelhoff (10yrs), Steve, Edna, Wade & Barb Borynec (9yrs) and Stephen & Monika Jettkant (1yr). Your friendship and summer care for the females is much appreciated and we look forward to future cattle grazing!
We have a great group of consignors that are offering some females and genetics that are right for the times and have pedigrees that will add value to any program. We all feel “Keepin It Simple” is beneficial not only to the breeder but to the buyer so these females will be in their everyday clothes and will adjust into their new homes and go on about business without missing a beat.
An exciting offering of embryos this year off one of our high selling bred females from last year that Rentz Livestock purchased. This mating to our new herd sire Ranger will be one to definitely take a look at as the combination will be so intriguing to have a piece of. As well we are offering some semen lots on Ranger and Right Hand Man to start your breeding decisions for 2026!
Our thoughts have always been to “Keep it Simple” and to have females that are the most efficient and productive in the most cost-effective way. At the end of the day these females simply need to work and we value that. DLMS FARM GATE TIMED AUCTION
1. Visit https://farmgatetimedauctions.ca, then click on the LOGIN/REGISTRATION button. First time users will select the REGISTER button from this page. Fill out the registration form to signup for a free user account and it allows you to select a username and password for use on all Farm Gate Timed auctions. This program will send you text and email messages whenever there is activity on your favorite lots or someone challenges your proxy bid and this is why you will be asked for both your current email and cell phone number. If you are a past participant in the Farm Gate Timed auctions simply enter your user name and password to continue. This takes you to a list of both current and upcoming Farm Gate Auctions.
2. You can choose your favourite lots in this sale at this time and the program will allow you to open either all sale lots or just your favorite lots on your screen. Any time there is active bidding on a lot you have identified on your favorite list you will get a text and/or an email noting this activity.
3. The program allows you to place a proxy bid on any sale lot. This in fact protects your interest in any lot of interest for you to a specified dollar value you set, when you may not be able to give 100% attention to the sale. If the lot has a $2000 bid on it and you place a proxy bid of $3500 into the system, the computer will bid $2100 for you but if some one else bids $2200, the computer will again bid for you, this time at $2300. The system will look after your interest to a maximum of $3500. If another bidder is on at $3600, your proxy will no longer be effective and you will no longer have the winning bid on this lot without once again logging in and bidding again or moving your attention to a second lot of interest.
4. At closing time of the sale the entire sale will extend bidding for 5 minute if a bid is placed on any lot in the sale. Any bid received after 7 PM will extend the sale by 5 minutes from the time of that bid. When no bidding occurs for 5 min the computer will declare the sale finished.
5. Within 24 hours of the sale close DLMS will contact winning bidders via email with an invoice payable to Triangle Stock Farm or consignor of Lot. Transfer of papers and delivery will be arranged with Triangle Stock Farm or consignor upon sale completion.
If you require assistance with using the new DLMS Farm Gate web site, if you don’t understand how to create a favorites list, if you can’t figure out the proxy bid or you just plain want to bid via phone, please talk to any of the DLMS team or Sale Consignors.
What is racehorse style sale close? Racehorse style sale close is when the entire sale stays open in extended bidding. This type of sale allows you as the bidder to change to a different lot within the same sale if the bidding has gone in to extended bidding.
How will extended bidding work? When we get to the close out end time the clock for close extends with any bid placed with less than 5 min on the clock. This type of extended bidding turns the end time to more of a soft time. Extended bidding allows bidders to compete in lots like a real auction and give all bidders the same time to make a decision. Always follow the clock to see how much time remains in the sale you are interested in.

A Little History...
WHO: The name Triangle Stock Farm originated by a Simmental breeder from Turner Valley, AB. Porter Ranches Ltd bought the cow herd in the mid 1980’s and the name came with the cows. The name reappeared with the tattoo TSF when Vance & I decided to have our own little herd in 2007. I am the 4th generation farmer/rancher in our family and have been in the Simmental cattle business my entire life. Back in the day we bred 500 Purebred Simmental females & 500 Commercial Simmental X females and eventually had to relocate due to a coal mine plant. Our children are the 5th generation and are active in our operation.
WHAT: We started with a small number of Red & Black Purebred Simmentals and over the past 18 years we have grown our herd. The original females have now all been retired but we have built our herd around these cow families and we are proud to offer some of those genetics. We will be hosting our 15th Annual Bull & Female sale February 20, 2026 with 45 bulls on offer. Some of these females we are offering here are half siblings to the bulls that we will be offering and one will see the uniformity and consistency in these genetics.
WHERE: We are west of Edmonton 30 minutes with Stony Plain being our closest town. Triangle Stock Farm is located in the rolling hills of Parkland County.
WHEN: We are active Simmental enthusiasts 24/7. Vance works full time at Edmonton Kenworth and fills in his other time with TSF.
Our children: Cheyenne works full time for DLMS and has her business degree in marketing. She is an integral part of Triangle Stock Farm especially during calving and breeding season. The horse division is growing and we have a solid set of young barrel horses on the horizon. This fall will be exciting getting back in the saddle and competing with her upcoming futurity horse Kix. Colbey has finished his MBA from NDSU and just finished up playing in the IBL for the Brantford Red Sox. September brought some exciting news with his engagement to Viviana. Congratulations we are excited for the two of you!
WHY: There is nothing better than raising your family on a farm and pursuing your passion. Simmental cattle are simply the breed we have come to love and we will continue to try “Keepin It Simple”.

Welcome to the third annual “Keepin’ it Simple” sale. We are once again honored to be a part of this sale, and we would like to extend a huge thank you to the Klepper Family for giving us this great opportunity. It truly is an exciting time to be part of the cattle industry. Demand for high quality beef has never been stronger. Our passion for cattle led us to select and specialize in raising Purebred Simmentals. We are committed to breeding performance cattle with calving ease in mind and with a focus on letting genetics do the work. Lemon Drop caught our attention last fall when we bought her out of this very sale, with her large rib shape, depth and power. We had been hearing great things about Rancher daughters once they hit production and wanted one for ourselves. Lemon Drop has proven she can raise a calf, with her Red Heat heifer that has been a standout since birth. Lemon Drop dropped a solid udder, has a great disposition, and the length all cattlemen want to get those extra pounds on their calves.
When Michelle offered us semen on their new herdsire Twin Springs BGS Ranger 6M, we jumped at the opportunity the genetic combination of SVS Rancher, WFL Mountain View and Mader Darlin’ is guaranteed to produce progeny with maternal strength, power, performance and style. Delivery Arrangements will be made after the sale. TSF and/or consignors will deliver within 250km at the convenience of TSF and/or consignors and at the buyer’s risk. Any females going to other areas, trucking will be arranged by TSF and/or consignors at cost. Females sold to the US will be the responsibility of the buyer (health protocol, etc) TSF and/or consignor will help in the process. Semen shipment will be at the cost of the buyer from place of storage. We would like all purchases picked-up / delivered by November 15, 2025.
Breeders Guarantee Cattle will sell under the standard terms and conditions of the Canadian Simmental Association.
Purchasers Risk Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold.
settlement The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable in Canadian Funds at par immediately following the sale. The right of ownership shall not pass until after settlement is made. All settlements must be made before any females will be released or delivered. After settlement has been made the buyer will be provided with the proper registration papers, duly transferred on the record of the Canadian Simmental Association.
