to the1st annual “Baldie Maker” Bull Sale!
We would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves and give a bit of background on our operation. We are a family run ranch located near White Fox, Saskatchewan. Our operation consists of a herd of 50 Purebred Hereford females as well as 100 head of commercial females. The commercial cattle industry is our focus! We are very firm believers that our purebred herd is driven by the traits and attributes that are most important in any commercial herd: soundness, longevity, udder quality, and consistency. We understand that at the end of the day the pounds of weaned calf, per pound of cow matter. Our cows are more moderate framed and stout with lots of hair, as this type work best for us with our very damp cold winters up in NE SASK. We test our purebred genetics in our commercial herd to make sure they work, and most of the bulls in our offering have both purebred and commercial siblings at work in the herd, as herd sires and brood cows. Our cattle had a tougher summer, as did most with the drought conditions experienced across western Canada. We weaned the bull calves 60 days earlier than we typically do, as grass and water was limited in their pastures. Bulls were weaned august 1 and no creep was given, so the bulls are very honest in their performance off the cow. From here, the bulls were developed all fall and winter on a high roughage, high protein TMR of alfalfa silage, straw and a Poundmaker 450 pellet, along with a full mineral package. Bulls have been fully vaccinated with ultrabac, Bovishield, and treated with ivermectin. Bulls will be delivered vaccinated for anthrax and foot-rot. This is our first year publishing a catalogue and running a sale online through DLMS Farmgate timed auctions, as we’ve sold privately off the farm in the past. we are very excited to introduce the offering to you! Our bull pen is not huge in numbers, but we feel it is high in quality from top to bottom. We want to take this opportunity to thank you for taking the time to look through our offering. Browse the offering where you can look at the catalogue, see additional supplemental pictures and watch videos of all the lots. Videos will be posted by the middle of March.

There are 2 ways to bid on lots—the first is to click on the “place bid” button and you will place the next highest bid that is in the bid box. the second is to set a “max bid” which will then bid for you and keep you as the highest bidder to the max amount you have placed, if other bids are being placed on the lot. This can be a great feature if you are unable to give 100% attention to the sale close out.

The sale will close racehorse style with extended bidding beginning at 6pm. Extended bidding will last for 5 minutes and the clock will restart every time a new bid comes in. The clock will end and the sale will be finished when it has been 5 minutes without a bid on any lot.

Once the sale has closed, we will be in contact with the winning bidders on all of the lots.

Terms & Conditions TERMS: Payment options are available via cash, cheque or e-transfer. We typically do business as listed below, but can work with you as needed if arrangements have been made prior to the sale. 1. Payment in full (100%) at time of the sale 2. 50% payment at time of the sale, the other 50% at time of delivery. All bulls must be paid in full prior to delivery. Please make cheques payable to Torch View Cattle Company. WARRANTY: All bulls come with 100% full health guarantee and a passed semen test conducted by a licensed veterinarian prior to delivery. Current weights and scrotal measurements will be provided prior to the sale. DELIVERY: We will make every effort to get the bulls delivered to YOUR yard or pasture within Saskatchewan, when you are ready for them. We will also coordinate trucking outside of the province if your bull needs to make a few extra miles. Bulls can be kept here free of charge until June 1, 2022. INSURANCE: Bulls become the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold, therefore, we highly recommend purchasing insurance on your bull at the time of the sale.
