The p of she his group with significant issues & support each other in raising high quality breeding sheep. Today, the SSBA has members from all over the province, and other provinces, producing purebred and commercial sheep. There are breeders of 17 different purebred breeds and several crosses.

2022 is the Agribitions 51st year. CWA is where the world meets, and the SSBA is proud to be a part of it. We want to take this time to thank everyone who contributed to the 2022 Agribition to make this event successful!

Online Bidding: DLMS

Buyers: All buyers must register before being eligible to bid at the auction. Bidder numbers will be available for pickup throughout the whole show. Full settlement must be made with the Treasurer of the Saskatchewan Sheep Breeders' Association on December 3rd, 2022, prior to animals leaving the barn... No exceptions. Payment can be made by cash, cheque, or e-transfer. No credit card payments will be accepted.

Guarantee: Ewes & rams entered in SSBA Sheep Sale are guaranteed by the consignor as breeders. The consignor will stand behind their animals, & if any problem arises, they are to be handled directly between the seller and the purchaser.

Risk & Removal: All animals are at the purchaser's risk as soon as they are sold. No animals are to be removed from the barn until complete settlement is made & receipt is issued. The receipt must be presented to the Barn Boss for inspection. All animals will be in pens by 12 p.m. Thursday, December 1st. All animals are released on Saturday, December 3rd, at 6:00 and must be out of the barn by 8 am on Sunday, December 4th.

Errors: If any errors are noted, corrections will be made from the auction stand. All announcements at sale time, written or verbal, will supersede any written information in this catalogue.

Substitutions: A limit of two substitutions per breed will be accepted within the same class for health reasons only. Substitutions are allowed up to the day of arrival at Agribition.

Liability: The Saskatchewan Sheep Breeders' Association & their respective directors &/or employees accept no liability that may occur. Accidents at sheep shows & sales are very rare, but all attending do so at their own risk.

At BB Farms, we believe strongly in research and development in the sheep industry. At Grasslands and Agribition Show and Sale, we donate a quilt to be auctioned off, with all proceeds going towards Saskatchewan Sheep Development Board Research Initiatives. Sandy Hill Heidi 10H is a very reluctant sale. Her dam is one of our most powerful top-producing ewes, and her sire is the wellknown UK ram, Rainbow Santana.

Heidi is the full package. Very feminine, correct, with lots of length and capacity. She is in-lamb to Sandy Hill Hotshot 9H scanned in lamb with twins, but we suspect triplets as she is much larger this year. She birthed two cracking lambs last year unassisted and has exceptional maternal qualities, just like her dam.

Heidi is scrapie genotyped AARRRR from an MV-negative tested flock. She scores high on GenOvis for maternal qualities in the top 6% (94%) for the Charollais breed, and her gain is top 19% (81%).

Sandy Hill Jitterbug 5J is a very feminine correct ewe with good length and capacity. Jitterbug is scrapie genotyped AARRRR from an MV negative tested flock. She is in-lamb to Sandy Hill Jackpot 7J, scanned with twins. Jackpot is a new genetic we brought into Canada from the UKOakchurch Ruben, so this is your chance to get some of this new bloodline. Check out Jitterbug’s GenOvis performance data top 11% of Charollais breed for Gain (89%) and top 20% for Maternal traits (80%).

SANDY HILL KATNISS 3K SANDY HILL KATNISS 3K

Sandy Hill Katniss 3K is a very correct feminine but sturdy ewe lamb with lots of length, width and capacity. Katniss is scrapie genotyped AARRRR from an MV-negative tested flock. She has been exposed to our young stock ram, Sandy Hill Jackpot 7J, who is sired by a top UK ram, Oakchurch Ruben, whose semen we imported into Canada. She was scanned on October 15, but the result was inconclusive as it was too early to tell. Katniss scores very high on GenOvis for gain and maternal traits, being in the top 6% of the Charollais breed for both (94%). She is also sired by the 2021 Supreme Champion Ram at Agribition, Sandy Hill Hotshot 9H.

Pictures do not do this ewe lamb justice. She was picked out as a favourite from the start. She was one of our top gainers amongst the ewe lambs. She sports the Ile de France features in the Canadian Arcott breed. She was exposed to BB Farms Krebs 996K, and if she is in lamb will be due on April 5, 2023. These are the first ewes ever bred to him. He was one of our top ram lambs with 94% Maternal and 92% Gain Genovis Numbers. If she is in lamb, her lambs will be a huge asset to your flock! I can't say enough about this girl; she is hard to let go of!

Sandy Hill Jackal 63J is a big powerful ram with lots of length and muscling.

He is sired by Sandy Hill Hot Stuff 12H, who is sired by Edstaston Turnberry, a top UK ram whose semen we imported into Canada. This is a new genetic to Canada and has definitely left its mark on our flock.

Jackal is scrapie genotyped AARRRR and from MV negative tested flock. He has never been used and was kept back to bring to Agribition.

He is GenOvis recorded and is top 13% of the Charollais breed for Gain (87%) and scores in the top 20% (80%) for Maternal. If you ' re looking to add length and muscling to your lambs, then this is the ram for the job.

Sandy Hill Jumpinjac 1J is a big powerful correct ram with tremendous length and muscling. He is sired by the Supreme Champion Ram at Agribition last year, Sandy Hill Hotshot 9H. His dam is one of our most powerful ewes, consistently breeding top-quality powerful offspring. Jac is scrapie genotyped AARRRR and from MV negative tested flock. He has never been used and was kept back to bring to Agribition. He is GenOvis recorded and is top 4% of the Charollais breed for Gain (96%) and scores in the top 2% (98%) for Maternal. If you ' re looking to add length and muscling to your lambs, then this is the ram for the job.
