Terms
1. The “Contract for PurchaseofLivestock” document willbe made the dayofthesale byboth sellerand buyer signing.
2. The settlementwill be based onthe information stated inthecatalogueand/or correctionsfrom the auction stand, and payment willbe made within the legal requirement under the Dealer’s Act and determined when delivery is taken of the animals.
3. It istheseller’sresponsibility to ensurethatallanimals haveGovernment regulated identificationtags (RFID Tags).
4. Buyer agrees to abuyer’s fee applied to thepurchase priceofallcattleat the rate of 1.5% forcalves and 1% for yearlings, unless otherwise stated.
5. Selleragreesto pay allgovernment deductions (i.e.:Brand Inspection, A.B.P, Livestock Security,and Insurance), plus a clearing charge of $3 per head manifested on delivery day.
6. +/- is defined asnomoreor less than5% over or under the stated head count.
7. Cattlethatare considerably heavieror lighterthanthe baseweight,may needto be renegotiatedby a sales Rep at the time of delivery to assure cattle pricing is fair based on video sale day pricing.
Responsibility & Expense
8. Buyer and seller agreeto fulfillany and all contractobligations regardlessofa fluctuating cattlemarket.
9. On the dayofdeliveryofthe cattle, the sellerand aS.A.L.E. representative willbe on hand towitness the weighing of the cattle.
10. Contacta S.A.L.E.representativeforfurtherinformation regardinganycattle requiring exporttesting and documentation.
11. All lotsconsignedthroughAuction Markets other thanS.A.L.E. will be lifted and processed bythose Auction Market’s Representatives.
Liabilities
12. Any personattending the saledoessoathis/herownrisk. Thesellers,sales committee, sale personnel and attendants assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents that occur.
13. The sellers,sales committee, salepersonnel,andeditorswill not be held responsible for errorsor omissions that may inadvertently appear in the catalog, posters, or website.
14. SouthernAlbertaLivestockExchangeLtdreserves the right touseall photographs and videos submitted by consignors &/or S.A.L.E. Representatives in all future promotional purposes.
