As we prepare to market these bulls to the industry, we are confident in their genetic ability to bring you profits in all stages of the production cycle whether you are a cow/calf operation, a background feeder, or running a finishing lot selling retail carcasses. This is reflected in our customer confidence over the years and that 88% of our bulls in last year’s sale went to repeat buyers. Our catalogue is a good-honest reflection of our program. We don’t adjust our data to fall in line with current trends just because they’re fashionable. We are not ashamed to print the numbers as they are because we know that they represent what has led to our success in the industry. Our program has a long-standing reputation for high-gaining, good-quality feeder cattle. In the last twenty-plus years, with advancements in technology, we have had the opportunity to test for carcass quality and feed efficiency. This year, our purebred heifers that were not chosen as breeding replacements were harvested, and the results show not only exceptionally high carcass yield but also 95% grading AAA. We look forward to Charolais cattle being recognized more and more for high carcass yield and AAAs and breaking the stereotype that British cattle are the ideal carcass animal. Although performance testing has been our focus over the years, it comes secondary to producing sound, functional cattle with longevity. With this in mind, you can be confident that the bulls you select have top quality genetics not only in performance but also in longevity. As you look through the sale offering, you will see that bulls are catalogued and will be sold in birth order. This is not your typical purebred sale with the top end stacked at the front of a sale order. We are very proud of the fact that these bulls have the depth of quality and performance, front to back, to sell in this format.

Health: Bulls have been strictly culled for structural soundness. A complete vaccination program has been done as well as a recent Ivomec treatment. All bulls have passed a semen test and breeding soundness evaluation prior to the sale.

Guarantee: All animals are sold under the personal guarantee of Rawes Ranches Ltd.

Delivery: Rawes Ranches will provide delivery within 200 miles FOR THE COST OF FUEL ONLY. On distances over this we will do everything we can to see that delivery will be at a reasonable rate.

Warranty: We offer a program that demonstrates our commitment to our customers. Should you have a problem with a bull, contact Rawes Ranches directly and we will handle it immediately. Two options: Basic and Extended warranty are available.

Basic – 30 Day assures that your bull(s) remain in satisfactory condition until bulls are delivered. An additional cost of 2% will be added to your invoice on any bull that remains at the ranch after sale day, unless proof of alternate insurance is provided.

Extended – Breeding Season starts on sale day and will last for 7 months protecting your investment during the most critical time - Breeding Season, for a cost of 7%.

Right To Semen: Rawes Ranches Ltd. retains the right to draw semen on any bull sold for our in-herd use only.

Insurance: If you require, Canadian Farm Insurance Corp. will be available at the sale. Jill Wildman 780-305-1146.

We appreciate the effort you make to visit the ranch and view the bulls prior to sale day, and we also understand that circumstances may not allow for customers to be in attendance at the sale. For these reasons, we have several options available to you.

"Rawes Ranches implements a comprehensive herd health program developed with Lacombe Veterinary Centre. The bulls are fully vaccinated with a modified live respiratory and 8way clostridial vaccines and receive an internal/external parasite control program. A breeding soundness evaluation, including semen testing, is performed on all the bulls."
