Sale Day INFORMATION

How to Participate in the DLMS Farm Gate Timed Auction with Extended Bidding:

1. Visit www.dlms.ca , scroll down sale list to find the sale you are interested in bidding on. Click on the sale listing and you will be taken to the Farm Gate Timed Auction Sale page.

2. After you are at the Farm Gate Timed auction site - farmgatetimedauctions.ca, click the LOGIN/REGISTRATION button.

First time Farm Gate users:

- First time users will select the REGISTER button from this page. Fill out the registration form to sign up for a free user account and it allows you to select a username and password for use on all Farm Gate Timed auctions. (Please note due to some of the text notification features the Farm Gate Time Auction Site requires a new account separate account from your DLMS Live sale site)

- After you create your Farm Gate account you will receive a text message with a pin code to verify your account.

- On your first log in to Farm Gate Timed auctions we recommend you go to your profile and confirm your notifications are set to YES. This allows the site to send you text and/or e-mail notifications when you are out bid and if there is activity on your favorite lots.

Returning Farm Gate users:

- If you have used Farm Gate Timed auctions in the past simply enter your user name and password to continue. After you have logged in you are able to browse the timed auctions on DLMS Farm Gate Timed Auctions.

3. How to Bid

Now that you are logged in and your account phone number / e-mail is verified you are able to bid on an upcoming sale. Simply find the lot you are interested in bidding on. After you have found the lot there are 2 options for bidding on the lot.

- Place Next Bid – to place the next bid on the item, you see the amount in the first box, you simply click the “Place Bid” button and after you review the bid and agree to the terms and conditions your bid will be placed.

- Max Bid Amount – to place a max bid you put your max bid in the second box listed as “Max Bid” on the item, and then click the “Place Bid” button and after you review the bid and agree to the terms and conditions your bid will be placed as the next bid. With the Max Bid placed the computer will then keep you as the high bidder to the max amount you have placed. This can be a great feature if you are not able to give 100% attention to the sale close out and protect your interest so you do not miss out on any lots you want to purchase. The Max Bid amount is completely confidential from the seller during the sale process.

Example of How the Max Bid Works - If the lot has a $2000 bid on it and you place a proxy bid of $3500 into the system, the computer will bid $2100 for you but if some one else bids $2200, the computer will again bid for you, this time at $2300. The system will look after your interest to a maximum of $3500. If another bidder is on at $3600, your proxy will no longer be effective and you will no longer have the winning bid on this lot without once again logging in and bidding again or moving your attention to a second lot of interest. Please note that in some cases a lot value can change very quickly if 2 max bids are placed on the same lot competing against each other.

4. Watch List Feature

If you have items in multiple auctions or only a few from the same auction that you want to watch with out having to scroll through the entire list you can add the lots to your watch list. On each lot you will see the “eye” button beside the bid button, by clicking this “watch list” Icon that item is added to your personal watch list for easy viewing of just your favorite lots in this sale or on the entire site.

5. Sale Ending / Closeout

Most Farm Gate Timed Auction sales close racehorse style with extended bidding.

What is Racehorse Style Close?

Racehorse style sale close is when the entire sale stays open in extended bidding. This type of sale allows you as the bidder to change to a different lot within the same sale if the bidding has gone in to extended bidding.

How will Extended Bidding works?

When we get to the close out end time the clock for close extends with any bid placed with less than 5 min. on the clock. This type of extended bidding turns the end time to more of a soft time. Extended bidding allows bidders to compete in lots like a real auction and give all bidders the same time to make a decision. Always follow the clock to see how much time remains in the sale you are interested in.

6. Bidding Close & Follow-up

After the clock has gone to “ENDED” and no bidding has occurred for 5 min the computer will declare the sale finished. Following the close typically within 24 hours of the sale close the sale consignor will contact all winning bidders to arrange payment, transfer of pedigrees and delivery/Pick up of your lot. Or as the winning bidding you can contact the sale consignor / sale manager to confirm payment instructions.

Please make sure that your account info is up-to-date and correct if you are the winning bidder of a lot as this is how the billing is sent to Sale manager and/or Sale consignor.

Welcome to our 4th Annual online bull sale, first off we would like to thank our repeat customers for trusting our bulls for the breeding program as well as new customers that we meet along the way. Wow what a time to be in the cattle business, with record prices being set and broken weekly. It’s great to see all the great cattlemen and women being well paid for all the hard work it takes to get this product to the table. At such a time in the world where it seems the price of everything has been going up for many years. It’s now our turn as producers to make the most of these record prices and hope they stick around for many years to come.

Our 2026 bull pen is our best pen to date and one that we are quite proud to have on offer. As we continue to raise quality, proven purebred Simmental genetics our goal is to provide quality breeding bulls that are easy fleshing, have a good big foot to move on, wide topped with a good spring of rib. Our bulls are fed in a way that they are not pushed and are grown out so they will continue to grow and mature how they should. I believe in having longevity in the bulls we sell which is why we feed them the way we do. Docility is also a priority around here and these bulls are a testament to that.

Our offering this year will consist of all yearling bulls and 1 two year old, some of them are from top breed leading AI sires in the Simmental industry as well as our walking bulls CNT Liberty 32L who is a son of MRK Capitalist that we had the misfortune of losing to soon as well as our Senior herdsire and heifer bull R+ 2227K who has worked extremely well on heifers and cows.

We highly encourage presale visits to view the bulls as well as their dams anytime up until sale time. Videos will be posted roughly two weeks before the sale as well as a weight and scrotals sheet the day the sale opens.

FLYING W KID ROCK 92N

PURE BRED • POLLED • FWSF92N • #1516343 • 02-JAN-25

Kid Rock is a bull who came to us in calf from our McIntosh Hollie cow who needs no introduction to the spotlight. He has been a bull who stood out since birth and always had many eyes on him. He was shown alongside his dam this summer and fall, receiving numerous compliments along the way and placed very well. He comes to you as a complete package kind of bull and wraps it all up with a touch calving ease being sired by True North. He has a tremendous side profile and is a real deep sided bull. His extra length will be sure to add extra pounds to your calf crop as well as his overall width when you get in behind him. If you’re looking for a bull to fill your replacement pen with highly sought after maternal females that will be very desirable Kid Rock will sure be able to do that.

Flying W Scar is a bull who we think of quite highly of around here and whose dam needs no introduction around here and is one that we flushed last spring. With his dams track record and his sire R+ 2227K really proving himself with his 3rd calf crop hitting the ground we feel Scar really has the keys to being a successful herd bull as well as longevity built in. With him being extremely deep bodied, added length and width as well, who also stands on an extremely good foot like his sire who is arguably one of the most correct bulls we have ever walked. Scar is sure to go out and sire a pen full of flashy yet predictable females.

Creed is a bull with a bit of a twist on his pedigree out of a really good half blood MRL Boa 204F daughter that has a picture perfect udder who really knocked it out of the park on her first crack. With a 810 lbs weaning weight off a first calf heifer expect the extra hybrid vigour in this bull to go into your herd and work its magic. Lots of extra length and added frame is sure to make your calf crop more profitable and with cattle prices at an all time high who wouldn’t want to maximize the profit margins.

A really good example of when a cow’s first calf clicked so well, why not do it again. A soggy made type of bull, who was a part of our pen of 3 bulls at Harvest showdown in Yorkton this fall. Kingston is a real smooth shouldered bull who transitions well into his fore rib and topline very well and is very straight through his lines. Out of a beautifully uddered daughter of MRL BOA 204F whose time with us wasn’t long enough but he has sure left his mark with a good handful of daughters who we wish we had a lot more of.

One that we have been waiting for here is the first bull calf out of a bred heifer we purchased from the Meadow Acres Dispersal and boy did she not disappoint. Deed is another real stout made long bodied type of bull and is just as consistent as the rest of his half brothers. One that has been a stand out all summer and one that we have been excited to see develop. His dam has a beautiful udder and is the grandam of an open heifer that we sold in Simsational this fall to Grona Farms of Porcupine Plain.

Out of a first calf heifer and the R PLUS 2227K bull who we are extremely high on.

A touch of extra chrome here but do not let that distract you from all the good things this bull has to offer underneath all that white. Here is a real meat and potatoes type of bull out of a good cow that has raised us numerous bulls and all having the same depth of body and explosive rib shape just like her. He may be the flashiest one in the pen but he is also one of deepest and most soggy made bulls in the pen. The lead off red bull of this year’s offering is a thick made son of our new red bull CNT LIBERTY who is a son of the MRK CAPITALIST (a bull we had purchased at the Springcreek dispersal but unfortunately lost too soon after only 1 season with us). 28N is a very correct type of bull and we feel does a lot of things right from being smooth shouldered to extremely deep bodied and wide as well still strong through his topline. His mother is turning into quite the cow while still being young in her career this is her second bull in the sale and last year’s 3/4 brother also being a sale feature. If your looking for a powerful red bull to raise you high quality calves and leave you a great set of replacement females he’s sure to do that as his mother has yet another beautiful udder like the rest of the MRL BOA 204F daughters.

You could say 131N had a really bad hair day on picture day and was really shy. We tried for a long time but could not snap a good shot. Hopefully on video day we can post a picture online before sale. On the other hand he’s a really solid Liberty son whose dam has now put 5 bulls in the pen and can be relied on to bring in a stout made thick butted bull calf no matter what she’s bred to.

If you’re looking for a powerful red blaze bull to throw on mature cows look no further. This guy is definitely one who has an extra rib because he’s about as long as you can make one. Lots of hip and real strong topped bulls. Out of a really neat uddered, blaze faced cow, who had her first son sold to Biblow Ag Ventures. Sired by CAPTAIN SCREAM who is a bit of older genetics in the purebred world, but has worked very well for us, giving us a handful of heifers that are really easy doing and structurally correct females that we know will have a bright future.

We don’t sell two year olds very often but when we do we make sure they are worthwhile. Asylum came to us in the dam from Double KL’s dispersal sale and was Kenny’s lead off red cow but to own the cow came with a later calving date. Low and behold we got a bull calf but was held back as we felt he may have been too young for us to put through the sale last year. On the upside we used him last spring on a select group of cows and was breeding cows before 12 months of age and has been proven a breeder as we have two calves on the ground and more coming. After breeding we did show him at a couple summer shows and was then turned back out in early August with the other herd bulls and never saw any grain until early December again.
