The final bidding will open at 6:45 prior to the live sale of steers and lambs.
The final bid in each round will determine the amount of the bidders donation.
Each $10 bid (donated) represents one chance to win the steer or lamb. The ticket will bear the contributors name and be entered into the draw.
Example:
Round 1 final bid is $300 to John, his donation is $300. John receives 30 chances to win.
Round 2 final bid is $200 to Tom, his donation is $200 and he receives 20 tickets.
The auction is restarted until no further bids are received, at that point anyone is able to buy a $10 ticket for a chance to win.

Hi, my name is Cali and I am 13 years old.. I have been in 4-H for four years and this year I am an Intermediate. I have two projects this year, a Market Lamb named Becky, and a Market Steer named Kirk. I attend Grade 8 at Deer Meadow School in Olds. My hobbies include dirt biking, horse riding, hockey, and camping. My favorite part of 4-H is making new friends, learning new things, and seeing my projects succeed.

Hi! My name is Myah and I have been a member of the Eagle Beef and Multi 4-H club for nine years. This is also my second year as the Club President! I have a Market Steer, named Maurice, who weighed 902lbs at our weigh in. He is a super neat steer and I am very excited to see how he finishes at our achievement day! I also have a Heifer named Mimosa, and a Cow/Calf pair named Lyndel and Nina. Outside of 4-H I thoroughly enjoy attending various junior shows across the province with my heifers. I hope to see you on June 5th at the MegaDome for our show and sale!

Hi, my name is Geric. I'm 15 years old. This is my second year in 4-H, my projects are a Market Steer, Carcass Steer (Lumber), and a Heifer (Tilly). My Market Steer Protti has been a great learning experience that I’m super proud of. I love getting to learn how to raise an exceptional market steer. My favorite part has been learning to groom and show my projects. I've enjoyed learning how to keep a record book and meeting new people through our club. I like being involved with volunteering in our community and showing up to help with various events. In my free time I enjoy playing lacrosse, as well as learning as much as I can about the beef industry. I’m very excited to see you on June 5th!

My name is Evan Wierenga. I am 15 years old and this is my third year in 4-H Beef. My Market Steer is a red Simmental Cross named Mavi. Mavi is very friendly and likes to be scratched and brushed. Besides 4-H, I play indoor and outdoor soccer and enjoy dirt biking and helping on the farm. We are looking forward to meeting you at the show and sale!

My name is Cassidy, I am 14 years old and I attend Deer Meadow School in Olds. This is my fifth year in 4-H. This year I have a Market Steer project and a Heifer project. My Market Steer is a Black Angus named Yeti. I also enjoy playing volleyball and softball, figure skating, riding horses, hunting, fishing, going to summer camps, camping and hanging out with my friends. Hi my name is Daegan, I am 16 years old and have been in 4-H for six years. I attend Olds High School, I have a Market Steer named Albert. Some other activities I do outside of 4-H include tractor pulling, dirt biking with my friends, and helping my family with the farm.

Hi there! My name is Cadie. I’m sixteen, in Grade 11, and attend the Sundre High School. This is my sixth year in 4-H, with a Market Steer, Breeding Heifer, and a Cow-Calf pair. I am the Club’s Parliamentarian, District Rep, and I am a Key Member of the Mountain View District. Besides 4-H, I love two-stepping in the kitchen, riding, painting, playing the guitar for fun, playing the flute in my high school band, and sometimes curling up with hot tea and a good book.

My name is Mattie and this is my second year as a Junior member. I have a big Charolais Market Steer named Gus Gus (like the fat mouse in Cinderella). One of my favorite parts of 4-H is Achievement Day when I get to show off my steer to everyone! I am also a member of the Bowden Figure Skating Club in the winter, Pistols Softball in the spring and Gymkhana in the summer. I hope you’ll come see us at our show and sale this year!

My name is Sabella and this is my fourth year in the club. I am an Intermediate member with a Charolais Market Steer named Cody (after my Uncle Cody who I bought him from). My favourite part of 4-H is public speaking. I love preparing my speech and then memorizing it. Some other activities I do are figure skating, rodeo, and volleyball. Hi, my name is Gavin. I'm 12 years old; this is my second year in 4-H, my Market Steer’s name is Tomahawk (Tommy). He is a friendly and beefy steer that I’m very proud of. I’ve enjoyed learning how to properly feed and groom him. He has been an amazing steer to work with, and holds a nice beef composition. The hardest part of 4-H has been the record book; however, I have learned how useful and valuable they are. I’ve liked learning what it takes to raise an amazing steer to consume and I feel like he holds great potential as a stunning market steer. When I’m not busy with my steer I enjoy most sports with hockey being my favorite. I'm in the 7th grade at Deer Meadow School; I like math and science classes as well as gym class. Hey folks, my name is Hiller and I am super excited that this is my first official year as a Junior. I have been around for three years as a cleaver, and I feel like one of the old boys in this club but now I can officially show the big animals. This year I have a Market Steer named Andre, a Heifer named Barb and I share a Carcass Steer with my sister named Maverick. I am in Grade 4 at Ecole Olds Elementary in Mr. Turnbull’s class and obviously I love gym, recess, math and Mr. T’s economy class. 4-H has already taught me so much and I enjoy public speaking, fitting, showing and hanging with the boys. Hello everyone, my name is Calynn and this is my third year as a Junior. I am in Grade 6 at Ecole Deer Meadow and attend Mrs. Morgan’s class where I love Social, Math and Band. My projects this year are my Market Steer New York, my Heifer Cowgirl and a shared Carcass Steer named Maverick that I have with my brother. The parts about the 4-H program that interest me the most are livestock judging, public speaking and showmanship. My name is Raelynn, this is my sixth year in 4-H and I am an Intermediate member. I am currently a grade nine student at Olds High School, and am 15 years old. My projects include a Market Steer named Joker. As well as a Cow Calf pair, my cow is named Hot Donna & her calf is named Fancy Nancy. My favourite parts of 4-H are public speaking, the people and how much I learn in the club. My other hobbies include rodeoing, water sports, reading, and spending time outside.

Hi, my name is Braden. I am 16 years old and in Grade 11 at Olds High School. This is my second year in 4-H and I have a Market Steer project named Chuck. Along with 4-H, I am the president of the Alberta Charolais Youth Association and attend the Canadian Charolais Youth Conference each year. Throughout the winter months you'll find me at the rink playing for the U18A Olds Grizzlys or coaching the U11’s. I also enjoy woodworking, fishing, golfing, and working at the farm. Hi, my name is Brock. I am 12 years old and in Grade 6. This is my second year in 4-H. I live on a farm by Sylvan Lake. I am the youngest of five kids and just recently became an uncle. I love sports, animals, and playing outside. I have taken really good care of my steer and the other animals on my farm. I can’t wait to see you at the sale!
Paige Van Sickle
Hi! My name is Paige, I'm 16 years old, and I go to high school in Bowden. This is my eighth year in 4-H, and I’m currently working on a Yearling Heifer project named Hollywood, a Market Steer named Church, and a Carcass Steer named Rio. Outside of 4-H, I’m involved with the Canadian Junior Hereford Association and show cattle across Canada, especially throughout Alberta during the spring, summer, and fall seasons. When I’m not busy with cattle, I also play competitive basketball with the High School Selects Broncos team based out of Olds.

Hello, my name is Jhett, and I am 14 years old. This is my fifth year in 4-H. I attended Grade 8 at the Deer Meadow School in Olds. My projects this year are Benson, a Market Steer; Dale, my Heifer; Betty, my 2-year-old Cow/Calf pair; and a Small Engines Project. Besides 4-H, I enjoy camping, golfing, riding my dirt bike, and playing hockey.

My name is Maiya, and this is my Market Steer, Moose. I am 17, I attend Didsbury High School, and I have been in 4-H for eight years. Aside from Moose, I also have a Heifer, Montana, a Ewe Lamb, Nala, and a Cow/Calf pair, Lola and Nina. I am the Vice President of our club, a district key member, a district and region representative, and a 4-H Alberta Ambassador. Outside of 4-H, I enjoy my job as a lifeguard and swim instructor, playing basketball and other sports, working hard to get good grades, and helping out on the family farm.

Hi, my name is Julea. I’m 14 years old; this is my second year in 4-H with a Market Steer project. Marshmallow is a beautiful, elegant, well-rounded steer. I'm super proud of his fine physique and his round large gyatt (rump). I am enjoying learning how to raise a steer to its greatest potential, and Marsh has a lot of beefy potential. My favorite thing so far has been volunteering at various events in our community with the Eagle Beef and Multi 4-H Club. When I’m not busy with my Market Steer 4-H project, I enjoy swimming, drawing, and my newest project PowPow, my 4-H Horse Project. Excited to see you at Achievement Day!

Hi, my name is Sarah. I am 14 years old, and in Grade 9 at Olds High School. This is my first year in 4-H. I have a Charolais Cross Market Steer named Maverick. I enjoy showing cattle and attend the Canadian Charolais Youth Conference and Show. I also have a companion steer named Dot. King is a Simmental Cross steer, and Dot is a Simmental steer. In addition to 4-H, I enjoy horse riding and playing hockey.

Hi, my name is Emily, I am 13 years old, I am in Grade 7. This will be my third year in 4-H, my steers name is Bronco. He is a quiet, well fed and rounded steer, I am so excited and curious for the future of what he will look like! I can not wait for show day and all the fun we will have. Outside of 4-H I enjoy: horse riding, figure skating, art and crafts, painting/sketching, and veterinary medicine practice on my farm. Hello my name is Jayden and I am 11 years old. This is my fifth year in 4-H, my first three years I showed Cleaver calves. This year I have a purebred Black Angus steer named Stanley. I love to figure skate, fish, camp, craft, draw, hunt, play video games, bake, do gymnastics and spend time with my friends. We are working hard to get ready for Achievement Day and I hope to see you there!

I'm Macie. I am nine years old and go to the Elementary School in Olds. I have one sister named Georgia. Some of my hobbies include softball, drawing, biking and hanging out with friends. This year my Market Lamb's name is Mango. She is very sweet and leads very well. I'm also in the Outdoor Ed Project. Public speaking and the meetings are my favorite parts of being in 4-H.

My name is Indy. I am 12 years old and this is my third year in Sheep 4-H. My Market Lamb is a Suffolk Lamb named Sam. I also have a Mature Ewe project named Willow. Besides 4-H, I play indoor and outdoor soccer and I am in competitive dance. I also enjoy riding my ponies and camping. I hope to see you at the show and sale!

I am 10 years old and a Junior. I attend Grade 5 at OKCS. My hobbies are hockey, baseball, 4-H and Lego building. This year my projects are Yearling Lamb, Market Lamb and Outdoor Living.
OUTDOOR PROJECT
The Outdoor Project had 1 intermediate, 5 juniors, and 2 cleavers this year for a total of 8 members. Expanding on their knowledge and skills from last year, the focus this year was not only risk management, but also learning what to do when something goes wrong. They learned how to belay a partner for rock climbing, learned how to get out of a kayak underwater, what to look for with evidence of animals in the snow, how to navigate skiing downhill, how to use a compass and a map, and how to build shelters in both the winter and summer. These members have gained skills and experience this year, ask them to take you on an outdoor adventure!
EQUINE PROJECT
Our horse girls have had a fantastic year! Our eight members range from 9 to 18 years old and have a ton of fun together with their horses. We kicked the year off with a trail ride at the Lutz Farm and then dove into horsemanship lessons under the guidance and expertise of Sandy Loree. Kim Thom then took ‘the reins’ and was fabulous working with the girls on control and balance. We were fortunate enough to bring in expert Kashley Seitz to teach all things goat tying and roping and have a little gymkhana fun as well. Pat Ross and Hal Schiffner fine tuned the girls’ show skills going into the Mountain View District Horse Show, which we treat as our Achievement Day. The girls enjoyed time together with a private tour of Century Downs (complete with a group photo in the winners circle!), doing trivia, learning how to administer medications by IV, sticking a horse properly, creating the most unique Christmas tree ornament, soaking in knowledge at Horse Expo and more!
SMALL ENGINES PROJECT
Our Small Engine Project is in its second year. We have seven members with projects ranging from quad and mini-bike engines, lawn mower and small tractor engines, even antique pump engines. We started the project learning safety and engine basics, we dismantled our engines, diagnosed any issues, researched and ordered replacement parts. Some key components of our projects are learning how engines work, compression checks, cleaning and degreasing, cooling systems, air filters, fuel systems, spark plugs and carburetor checks. We wash and prepare the engines for the rebuild. The rebuild is the best part. The final step is making sure the engine is back in working order. We are learning to do by doing and getting handson experience.
CLEAVER MEMBERS
Cleaver Kids introduces youth ages 6-8 to 4-H Alberta
Cleavers develop new friendships, a sense of belonging to the club and their community, listening skills, the ability to express themselves, set goals, track progress and celebrate their achievements!
The Eagle Beef and Multi Club has six eager Cleaver members this year who are all excitedly waiting to become full fledged 4-H members in the next few years. The Cleavers have spent time during meetings this year building teamwork skills, developing communication skills and learning about what 4-H has to offer. We have Cleaver members showing calendar year calves and lambs at this year's Achievement Day. We also have Cleavers participating in Small Engines activities and the Outdoor Project adventures .
