In the fall of 2022 we lost both of our stallionsTuf Country Chex and Sal The Stock Broker.

Since then we have had many family conversations about how to continue our breeding program and have decided that we want to focus on breeding our Tuffy and Sal daughters, rather than stand our own stallion.

So yes, we will still be raising horses.

As plans change, we are downsizing our herd and chose to have a sale, something we have never done.

The whole family loves raising, training, and winning on our home-bred horses. Our horses have connected us to people who have become great friends and we enjoy hearing about others’ success on horses that came from our program.

We are offering some of the very last Tuf Country Chex and Sal The Stock Broker offspring to the public as well as some very nice broodmares that are all truly hard to part with.

TERMS & CONDITIONS of Sale

1. The Buffalo Hills Quarter Horses Herd Reduction Sale will be a public live event, as well as a live broadcasted sale. The sale will run online through DLMS, and online bidders can register through DLMS. Anyone wanting to register for phone bidding contact Ramona Hart 403‐625‐0990. In order to register to phone bid, an individual must provide confirmation of available funds.

2. All people attending the sale must come at their own risk.

3. Method of payments accepted will be cash, cheque, Etransfer, or Visa/MasterCard. If paying with a card, buyers will be subject to a 4% convenience fee.

4. Horses will be sold in Canadian funds, and the US exchange rate will be provided the day of the sale for US buyers.

5. All horses must be paid for in full before the horse is allowed to leave the ranch. Registration papers and transfers will be mailed out once the funds have been cleared the following week.

6. Sale management do not assume any responsibility or liability for horses, they only act as agents for the buyer and seller.

7. Once the horse is pronounced sold by the auctioneer, the buyer assumes all further risks and responsibilities. This includes transportation arrangements for the horse.

8. All horses consigned are deemed sound up until the horse goes through the sale ring, meaning sound of mind, physically sound with no confirmation defects, and no cribbers. All information provided by the consigner must be truthful with full disclosure of any defects or bad habits.

9. Potential buyers are expected to have assessed and examined the horse before purchasing.

10. There will be a brand inspector on site.

11. It is up to the auctioneer to settle any disputes in the ring, and the final decision will be made by the auctioneer.

12. Any announcements or amendments made from the auction block during the day of the sale will take priority over the written content of these terms and conditions.

The Tuf Country Chex daughters are making outstanding broodmares - passing on the Tuffy good looks, grit, and winning attitude. Her bottom side is known for their kind, smart dispositions. Jeff & Tammy Quam own her oldest foal- a 5 year old mare who they love and are currently seasoning in the barrels and at the World Series in the heeling.
