LOT 1

5 Open Heifers

The Overmiller family has been producing cattle in North Central Kansas for generations. The fifth, sixth and seventh generations are actively involved in this family operation. These Red Angus open heifers come straight from the commercial operation and include some of the top Red Angus bloodlines. Four of these heifers are sired by AI sires. Bloodlines include 9 Mile Franchise son, Feddes Silver Bow, Feddes Maggio, CT Dominate, Bieber Deep End. Heifers were born Late January-March.

LOT 2

10 Open Heifer Calves

These “Super Duper Baldies” are sired by the high growth and marbling Hereford sire from Van Newkirk Herefords, UU Hulett 9066G. The dam side is stacked with generations of high maternal traits from Connealy, Gardiner Angus Ranch, and Marshall Cattle Company genetics with a touch of Simmental thrown in for high elevation adaptability. These females were calved at La Jara, CO in the San Luis Valley at 7,615 feet elevation and summered at over 9,000 feet. They were born at the end of February through the end of March. These heifers were weaned on October 20th and have been on a high roughage-hay diet since. These females are bangs vaccinated and will be pelvic measured. Ave. weight of the pen is 767 lbs. Ave. PAP score is 39.

10 Open Heifer Calves

An outstanding set of replacement females sired by Angus bulls and out of SimAngus cows. They are March and April born females and they are bangs vaccinated and will be pelvic measured. They have had two rounds of 8-way vaccine and have had Multi-Min. If the purchaser wishes, we can take these heifers home and AI them this spring, and arrange delivery from our ranch after that.

This high quality set of bred heifers is sired by Hereford bull and out of SimAngus cows. They were AI bred on May 17 and 18 to Square B Atlantis, Falcon, and McConnell Altitude then turn out with low birth weight Angus bulls from Booth and XBar.

6 Bred Heifers

No brand heifers sired by S Whitlock sons and AI bred to Stevenson Turning Point and will start calving early March. They were synchronized with MGA and bred as they came into heat (no fixed timed AI). They were hauled to grass in June of 2023 and turned out with Herring Angus bulls for cleanup. They were ultrasounded on 9/8/23 and 4 are AI bred and 2 are clean up bred. They received pre breeding shots and 7-way vaccine. They have been back poured three times and will have the first round of Scour Guard vaccine and an additional round of 7-way vaccine before the sale. All heifers have been BVD tested. This group of baldy heifers will be a group of big, broody cows. We weren’t planning to sell them until we got the call for the sale. They all come from great cows so we know the history of how good they’ll be. They have generations of elite genetics behind them. We hand pick every bull to make our baldy herd. If you don’t breed them, they will make phenomenal recip cows for any breed! They are due 2/26 for 30 days bred to Bear MTN Capitalist 316-9571 or Bear MTN Assurance Plus 0592. We have worked hard to make a good foundation of our black females. We only keep the best and they were supposed to stay in our program. We’re excited to see them as cows. We use them to make black baldy calves and before long, they’ll have some fantastic calves at their sides.
