Dear Friends and Cattle Growers, I would like to take a moment to welcome you to Fort Worth and the Southwestern Exhibition and Livestock Show. The best I can remember, I brought a heifer to Fort Worth for the first time in 1987, all the way from Elgin, Oklahoma. Since that original trip, the Fort Worth Stock Show has always been my favorite, and I have been to a few of them! I hope that you enjoy visiting as much as I enjoy helping to put it on. Earlier today I attended the Livestock Appreciation where we honor a member of the community with the W.A. “Bill” King Award for excellence in agriculture. This year’s recipient was our local State Representative, Charlie Geren, who has also served the Fort Worth Stock Show as a Steer Committee member for many years, as well as a fine marketer of beef through his restaurants, The Railhead. The keynote speaker was Collin Woodall, The CEO of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. He gave an antidote that I thought was worth sharing here. He said when dealing with environmentalists, tell them that you have a machine that is solar powered, moves freely without fossil fuels and can convert otherwise useless commodities into high quality protein. Yes, you know the answer, The Bovine! In addition, Mr. Woodall informed us about the renaissance of Beef and that the demand for beef looks to be strong for the foreseeable future primarily due to the increased focus that we producers have put on quality. Once again, our consignors have brought to you one of the highest quality sets of cattle in the Southwest. I am proud to present this set of cattle to you, and I believe that there will truly be something for everybody, and any environment you graze in. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, Robert Schacher

Gause, Texas Also look for our cattle in San Antonio and Houston.

10 Solid Red Beefmaster/Red Angus Pairs JM Ranch has been a long time consignor to Fort Worth and they always bring one of the most functional set of cows in the sale. This year you will have the first opportunity to add to your herd the Beefmaster X Red Angus females that JM Ranch is moving their program forward with. These are good sized, broad backed females that will adapt to any environment with efficiency and outstanding maternal ability. Perfect udder structure and good milk flow. JM has retained a percentage of the calves from these cows and they perform excellent in the feedlot. I am looking forward to the new generation from JM.
