NORTH TEXAS IMPROVEMENT REPLACEMENT FEMALES There are 10 Black Baldie Females and 30 Black Commercial Angus Females 5-6 Year Olds. All cows have October or November calves at side. The Black Baldie’s calves are sired by Bear Creek Farm Registered Angus Bulls. The calves on the Angus Commercial cows are sired by SAV Bruiser 6194. They have been exposed to Registered Angus Bulls since 2/9/18, and all cows sell as exposed. No pregnancy check has been performed. They will all sell in uniform groups of 5.

SALE PROCEDURE AND CATTLE INFORMATION

LIABILITY

All persons attending the sale do so at their own risk. The consignors, sale management, Fannin County Multi-Purpose Complex and Fannin County Extension assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for accidents and/or loss of property.

SALE HOSTS

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, Lamar, Fannin, Collin and Delta Counties along with the North Texas Improvement Cattle Sale Committee are co-hosting the North Texas Improvement Bull and Female Sales. The purpose and design of the replacement cattle show and sale is to provide cattle producers the opportunity to buy or sell the very best in replacement bulls and females. The program is a part of the “Rebuilding the Beef Herd” initiative by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension.

This sale is a part of the Texoma Beef Cattle Alliance, whose mission statement is, “Advancing cattlemen and maximizing profit potential through research and proven management decisions.”

Objectives: To promote the best management practices within herd health management to improve overall health and wellness of the animals. To educate producers to think progressively, always looking to improve the quality within their herd. To encourage all producers, regardless of size or operation, to utilize knowledge available to them through the Texoma Beef Cattle Alliance and other programs. Bulls will sell in single lots. All bulls will have passed a breeding soundness exam and all bulls will pass the Texas Animal Health Commission’s regulations for Trichomoniasis. Selling order will be determined by the bull sale committee and appointed judges.

The females in this sale are 5-6-year-old Angus and Black Baldie commercial cows from Bear Creek Farm, Leonard, TX. They will sell in uniform groups of 5 and will sell 5 times the money. Example: selling price is $2,000 x 5Hd = $10,000. Cows will sell with October and November calves at side and have been exposed to Registered Angus Bulls since 2/9/2018. Cows sell as exposed and no pregnancy test has been performed.

Ownership will change at the time the auctioneer says “Sold”.

While we do everything possible to insure proper care of the cattle after the sale, we do not take responsibility for any injury or death loss that might occur between the end of the sale and the time the cattle are loaded out.

The Auctioneer will settle all disputes during the sale and his decision will be final.

All cattle must be removed from the Fannin County Multi-Purpose Complex by 8:00 p.m. on the day of the sale, Saturday, March 10, 2018. If this is a problem, please make arrangements with the Sale Manager or a member of the North Texas Improvement Committee.
