It has been a pleasure to see this offering develop and overcome every obstacle that mother nature has given them. A lot like you there have been several times in the past few years that we have wanted to wave the white flag to mother nature and plead mercy, yet this set of cattle have never missed a beat. Genetics will always prevail, and this offering is proof that in today’s industry we demand cattle that will do more when given less.

The 2014 offering brings several highlights for your appraisal. This is the first calf crop of DLW Edison 6718X and the sons and daughters are outstanding. Cattlemen all over are impressed with there performance and fleshing ability in a moderate frame. This is the first offering of ET bulls from cows selected at Thomas Angus Ranch, Baker City, OR. What an impressive outfit and a tremendous set of cattle that you are going to see more of in the future. RWG Traction progeny are here for your inspection. This is the first progeny to sell out of the purebred Gelbvieh bull that has taken the breed by storm. The list goes on and on and speaks to the loyalty we have to you as a customer. We take serious the responsibility to infuse new genetics that will enhance your program and better the beef industry.

We are pleased to have several success stories in the past year. Nebraska State Fair Reserve Champion Female, National Western Reserve Champion Pen of 3 Balancer Bulls, Finalist in the 2014 Balancer Bull Futurity, and the 2014 Purebred Futurity Champion Bull. There are several brothers and sisters to these individuals selling this year. However, these honors are not the focus of our program! Warner Beef has always and will always be commercially focused and most proud of the success of our customers.

Each bull offered carries a full first season guarantee. This covers all injuries from feet problems, injured penis and death. For any reason that you have a concern about the health of your purchases, please call us here at Warner Beef Genetics. We do ask that if there is a problem with a bull, please notify us before disposal of a bull. This will give us the opportunity to determine the cause of the injury and correct it if possible. All guarantees cannot exceed the purchase price of the bull. We will always do our best to insure that your cows are pregnant with the best bull for you that we have available.

HEALTH

All bulls selling have passed a complete breeding soundness exam, are guaranteed breeders and qualify for the Warner Beef Genetics Bull Breeding Guarantee. Scrotal measurements will be listed on the supplement sheet on sale day.

WINTERING WARNER BULLS

Warner Beef Genetics will feed and care for your bull purchases free of charge until April 1, 2014. A cost of feed charge of $3.00 per day will apply after April 1. We ask that trucking arrangements on females be made within a few days following the sale.

The most gratifying moment as a Gelbvieh breeder so far for us occurred in Denver this past January when DLW Alumni 7513A was selected Breeder’s Choice Gelbvieh Bull Futurity Champion!

Known as the mother of herd bulls around here! 408P earned her way to the donor pen as now AI sire DLW Wardon was at her side. That was the cue to place her in ET production but what sealed it was the history that the cow family had accomplished. Her mother 840H also a donor had never missed and done a tremendous job of producing cattle that were widely accepted and constantly sourcing front end females back into the program. Once in production the 408P donor has never disappointed, notable sons in top programs include: DLW Wardon 24W, DLW Investment 422Y, DLW Granite 654Y, and DLW All Business 408Y, along with the next batch selling this year. We occasionally purchase flushes and embryos out of great cows in other programs to enhance our herds genetic base. This bulls mother is the result of a flush on one of the most productive and consistant cows in the entire breed. I cant be more thrilled with the resulting bull we have to offer here. We are honored and excited to bring a set of fresh genetics to our customers with these bulls. The Thomas Angus Ranch, Baker City, OR is owned by our good friends Rob and Lori Thomas. We are drawn to their program because of their ability to offer high quality Angus cattle that are very commercially focused in volume. In 2011 we had the opportunity to select our first donors from their early calving fall group of over 250 cows. The quality is amazing and may be the most difficult task I have endured to date. This March calf was on a marginal receipt. His dam has done a exceptional job for us and note the EPD strength this calf carries.

The Watchman cattle have made their mark for being low birth cattle with depth of body and fleshing ability plus carrying added marbling. This son bred true to that. Recommended for heifers.

Simbalizer Bulls

LOTS 109-119 Once again this year we are offering a select group of SimAngus influenced Balancer bulls. These bulls are out of our front end cows and many of them are a product of our ET program.

Our philosophies are no different with these bulls as our Gelbvieh our Balancers. Commercially focused, Performance oriented cattle that can convert range conditions into pounds. We started this program a couple years back using input from Gateway Genetics in MT. You will find that most all of these bulls are either out of a tremendous Gateway cow in the 756R donor cow or sons of their Step Out sire that was retained in their herd. Cattlemen, use these bulls just like a Balancer bull as the resulting progeny will be British x Continental cross cattle that are in high demand at the feeder calf level. Additionally these bulls offer a larger genetic selection pool therefore the heterosis to your calf crop will be amplified. We have mated cattle that are similar in body type, thus the uniformity of the progeny should be nearly ideal.
