DELIVERY OPTIONS

Option 1: $100 off per lot if picked up sale day.

Option 2: at buyer’s option and risk, we will board the bulls until april 1 at a charge of $100, payable at sale time. bulls will then be delivered free of charge between april 1 and april 5.

Option 3: Bulls staying at the ranch after April 5 will be charged a $3/day fee and it is the buyer’s responsibility to pick the bull up.

Welcome to our third annual bull sale! It is an exciting time to be in the cattle business and the future of the industry looks good for several years. We are here to provide you, the customer, with the right bulls to excel your breeding program forward and add those extra pounds to your calf crop.

For those of you not familiar with us, we calve about 350 cows. There are 220 purebred papered Simmental cows. All of the cows are run in a competitive environment, very similar to our customers. The cows bale graze all winter long in one group. They start calving in April and into May on stocked pile grass. This type of management weeds out the weak and hard doing cows, leaving us with a very productive and functional cow base from which to raise coming two year old bulls.

These coming two-year-olds will benefit you, the customer, the most. These bulls are bigger, stouter and will breed circles around any yearling bull. Simply put, these bulls will breed more cows easily, stay in great shape during breeding and will take care of themselves if put in multi-bull pastures. There are performance, maternal and calving ease bulls in the group to choose from. All of these herd sire prospects are virgin bulls, which will be semen tested and guaranteed. Most of the bulls will be displayed under cover sale day just in case of adverse weather conditions.

We are also offering 12 Simmental/Red Angus cross commercial heifers and 8 Simmental/Angus commercial heifers.

Here are Diamond M Ranch, we want to sell you a bull but more importantly we want to sell you the right bull. So please give us a call as we would be happy to help you make the right selection for your herd. Then when you do find the right bull, you can rest assured that we will be there to back up that sale 110%.

If time permits, come and view the bulls and sires at the ranch, 1.5 miles west of Estevan on Highway 39. If you cannot make it to the sale, I or Brian and his staff at Bouchard Livestock can help you with an order or evaluation.

This year we will be adding live internet bidding with Cattle in Motion. A video of each bull and the commercial heifers will be availabel for viewing on their website.

They have done a great job in sourcing and selecting one of the great herd bull batteries in the Simmental breed. In addition, there will be a limited group of AI sired bulls. In going through the bull pen it became very apparent to me that there are some tremendous front-end individuals and an overall consistentcy throughout the offering.The entire bull pen is offered as two year olds, there were not any picked off as yearlings a year ago. We bought the $11,000 high selling Red Angus bull from Bill Creech at Hill 70. This bull never changes, he still looks as good as the day I bought him. The resulting progeny speak for themselves.
