The Infinity of God

ast year was definitely a year the world had never witnessed. With the rise of COVID cases and deaths, many perhaps may have questioned God’s ways or even worse, His existence. In
Isaiah 55, God is revealed as One who is infinite, that is, He cannot be limited by time nor bound by space. He is limitless and boundless. I. God’s Infinity is Seen in Salvation - Isaiah 55:1-7 Many have spent hours of time and have given large amounts of money just to gain satisfaction from an empty religion. Religion can only grant temporal satisfaction. Yet, it is only through a relationship with Jesus Christ that promises eternal salvation. God invites men, women, boys and girls of all ethnical and cultural backgrounds into a relationship with Him. Four times in verses 1 and 3, He takes the initiative and invites the religious ones to abandon their worthless and futile religion and “come” to Him for salvation. Salvation is an invitation from God, not merely the vain pursuit of men. Salvation is not something that can be earned. It is unmerited. It is the free gift of God and it is only obtained by grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Eph.2:8-9; Tit.2:11; 3:5). God is infinite in salvation. II. God’s Infinity is Seen in His Sovereignty - Isaiah 55:8-9 Speaking in first person, God tells Isaiah that He is Sovereign, as He says to him, “My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways…” During this pandemic, we have to constantly remind ourselves God is mysteriously Sovereign. He is in control of all things simultaneously (Col.1:17). The Apostle Paul said God is both unsearchable and unfathomable (Rom.11:33). Job’s friend, Zophar, in his first speech, asked, “Can you discover the depths of God? Can you discover the limits of the Almighty? They are high as the heavens” (Job 11:7-8). Friends, God is Incomparable, He cannot be compared to anything or anyone (Isa.40:25). He is Incompatible, He has no competitors (Isa.40:21-24). He is also Incomprehensible, He cannot be fully understood with the finite mind (1 Cor.2:11). To say the least, God is indescribable. The prophet said God’s understanding is inscrutable (Isa.40:28). In other words, God’s thoughts and ways are not something that can be discovered through academic or scientific research. The only way to know His thoughts and ways is through objective revelation, that is, God’s Word, the Bible. God is infinitely sovereign. He rules and reigns supreme over wars, politics, nations, kingdoms, nature, circumstances, everything. God is infinitely sovereign.
word “empty” is translated in Hebrew [reqam – in empty condition, empty handed]. It will produce whatever it was spoken by God to do. It is the word of God that carries out the desires of God (v.11). For instance, if God so desires, this present-day pandemic can come to an end by His own utterance. Whatever God says, the word of God precisely and very successfully accomplishes what it was dispatched from God to do. The scriptures declare several metaphors of God’s word. For example, in Jeremiah 23:29, God’s word is a fire and a hammer that shatters. It’s also a plumb line in the His hand, ready to judge (Amos 7:7-8), honey (Psa.119:103), apples of gold in settings of silver (Pr.25:11), a lamp and a light (Psa.119:105), milk (1Pet.2:2), water (Eph.5:26), sharper than any two-edged sword (Heb.4:12), and a seed that brings forth fruit (Luke 8:11). God is infinite in the scriptures. Throughout this year of 2021, let us not expend our energy on the government like we did last year, but on God. Let us not put all of our focus on the pandemic crisis, but on the power of Christ. Doing so is the only way one may have a Happy New Year.
Because God’s word is living and active, whatever He says will come to fruition. It will not return to Him empty or void. The

One may say because of my race I am rejected by another race or one may say I am hated because of the color of my skin.

Before athletes of all ages and levels begin their training and exercising seasons, it is usually a requirement that they undergo a preseason medical examination, also known as a “physical.” You are the athlete, and you should get medical clearance to start your fitness
and protection of God and for success in improving your health and fitness. Make a verbal declaration outlining the conditioning objectives that you will achieve with this plan and with God’s anointing. First, get medical screening/approval. Gently stretch and loosen up leg muscles before each session. Daily drink 2 glasses of water first thing in the morning. Daily drink 1 large glass of water 1 hour before workout. Daily drink 1 large glass of water 10 minutes before workout. Daily drink 1 large glass of water at end of workout. Daily drink no sweetened drinks throughout the day/night. Duration: daily/weekly. 1: walk 15 minutes daily: 2 weeks; do 10 knee bends before bed. 2: walk 15 minutes briskly daily: 2 weeks; do 10 knee bends before bed. 3: walk/jog 20 minutes easy daily: 2 weeks; do 15 knee bends before bed. 4: walk/jog 20 minutes briskly daily: 2 weeks; do 20 knee bends before bed. 5: jog 20 minutes daily: 3 weeks; do 25 knee bends before bed. 6: jog/run 20-35 minutes daily: 5 weeks; do 30 knee bends before bed. *Only progress to the next level if you can handle the current level.*

In Hosea 14, we hear God’s heart cry as Hosea pens, “O Israel! Return to the Lord your God! You have stumbled because of your iniquity. Take words with you and return to the Lord” (v. 1-2). Hosea proclaims that neither nations nor idols can save them; only God can. And then God affirms all the good He is just waiting to pour out on them if they would just return. I hear God saying that to us: “Return to Me! I am just waiting to heal your backsliding, to love you freely, and to bless you immensely!” (14:4). All it takes is for us to begin moving toward Him with words of confession on our lips. And God, in His mercy (14:3), will do the rest.
Instructions 1. Preheat the oven at 375 Degrees Fahrenheit. 2. In a shallow medium bowl, combine the crackers, parsley, curry powder, onion salt, and pepper. Set aside. 3. Pour the melted butter in another shallow bowl. 4. Rinse the chicken and pat it dry. Dip a chicken strip in the melted butter, then roll it in the coating mixture, spooning the mixture over it. 5. Arrange the chicken pieces in a greased 9x13 baking dish so the pieces do not touch. Drizzle any remaining butter on top. 6. Bake for 25 minutes or until tender and no longer pink. NOTE: You can bake this at 350 for 35-40 minutes if you desire to bake it with another dish that cooks at this temperature.

Things To Come

n the Bible, we can read about various activities and events that signal the nearness of the day of redemption, also known as the rapture. Some of these events, however, represent trends that cannot be tied to a clear-cut date or time period. The wars, famines, and earthquakes that Jesus spoke of, for example, have been on the rise for so long that it’s tough to know which part of the upward slope we’re currently sitting on. Thankfully, the Bible does not leave us hanging. In order to determine whether a prophecy has been fulfilled, we need only examine our history. I mean, it
should be easy to find out if something’s already happened, right? We just need the specifics of one of these prophetic events. In the Book of Isaiah, we’re given several of them; each one is said to occur in the “latter days.” “See, Damascus will no longer be a city but will become a heap of ruins…In that day their strong cities, which they left because of the Israelites, will be like places abandoned to thickets and undergrowth. And all will be desolation” (Isaiah 17:1, 9). In these verses, we are told not only of Damascus’ imminent demise but also who’ll be responsible for its destruction. If you’re into world history, you likely know that Damascus has been deemed the oldest continually inhabited city in the world. Today, whichever city is second in line for this title has great potential to steal this record as Damascus was destroyed

Isaiah goes on to tell of events concerning Egypt in the latter days. “‘I will stir up Egyptian against Egyptian—brother will fight against brother, neighbor against neighbor, city against city, kingdom against kingdom…I will hand the Egyptians over to the power of a cruel master, and a fierce king will rule over them,’ declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty” (Isaiah 19:2, 4). The year 2012 saw Egypt’s first democratically elected president, Mohamed Morsi, turn his back on the values he touted to the Egyptian people during his campaign. Once elected, Morsi granted himself absolute power that allowed his Muslim Brotherhood to rewrite the Egyptian constitution according to Islamic law. When this occurred, a deadly civil war broke out between Egyptians who supported Morsi and those who opposed him. If you watched this event unfold on the news, you might recall segments that were shown to inform the world of Egypt’s environmental and economic conditions. The news correspondent I watched might as well have been reading directly from the Bible. These are just a few examples of end times prophecies that describe current events. More prophecies concerning events that occurred over the last 15 years can be found in the Books of Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Numbers. As tough as it is to imagine that the same prophets who foretold the birth of Jesus also spoke of events that would occur in the 2010s, the proof is “in the pudding,” as they say. God said each event would occur in relative proximity to the other as signals that the end is near, and they did. He also stressed the importance that we recognize them when they happen. Realizing just how close we are to the day of our redemption should not be what prompts us to jumpstart a Bible study and scramble hastily toward a relationship with God. What you learned here may be new and exciting, but our motive to do these things has been present since before the earth began. If anything, these signs should make our already-pounding hearts beat a little faster in anticipation of our Lord Jesus Christ.
