ISSUE001:

DISCOLINES TAKEOVER

Colorado DJ/producer Thadeus Labuszewski, better known as Disco Lines, has combined the sounds of deep house, future bass, and trap to create his own unique sound. From starting off his career right as he graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a degree in software engineering to receiving acclaim from Rolling Stone for his iconic remix of Taylor Swift’s “Love Story,” he has swiftly established himself as one of today’s best new artists in dance music. Disco Lines grew up in Colorado spending much of his time skiing and hiking as a kid. His musical identity was shaped by artists like 30H!3,

Sublime, Pretty Lights, GRiZ, and The Grateful Dead. His journey into dance music first began like many of ours, with Skrillex. In an interview with Festival Insider, Disco Lines described his introduction to electronic music: ““A friend showed me Skrillex’s ‘Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites’ when I was in middle school. Instantly, I fell in love. Piano and guitar were stale to me and I was hungry for something fresh. The melodies in electronic music were gorgeous, the production unparalleled, and the sound was novel. I had never heard anything like it before. I remember immediately running home and scouring every dubstep music blog in search of new heat. Eventually, I came to the realization that this music was made by humans. I think I literally googled something like ‘How to Make EDM’ and from there went down the rabbit hole of YouTube music production tutorials.”

THOSE STORIES ARE BETTER LEFT UNTOLD..”

THAD BEHIND DECKS: INTERNET’S FAVORITE PARTY BOY

Publicly known as Disco Lines – has quickly risen to mass popularity in the electronic music world with his house-centric original releases and remixes. You may be familiar with his song, “Baby Girl,” which has gained upwards of 180 million streams on Spotify.

Ahead of his performance at III Points, EARMILK got to learn a bit more about Disco Lines.

What’s it been like balancing the management of your record label, Good Good Records, along with your current tour and festival run?

To be completely honest, I’ve been focusing most of my attention on touring recently, leveling up the production and quality of my shows.

I do have a few releases coming that I’m excited about on Good Good Records, and then next year a lot more of my focus will be on the label. It’s been a challenge, but super rewarding seeing that I can put out music on my own and have it resonate with people.

One of the things we love about you is how much fun you’re always having, and you definitely showcase your humor on social media! How do you feel social media has impacted the music business?

People tend to say that the impact of social media is a recent thing, but it has been influencing me and my music taste for as long as I can remember. I look at artists like Mac Miller who were making waves on MySpace when I was first discovering music. We’re in a digital age where Artists have direct access to fans, and fans have direct access to artists.

It opens lines of communication and feedback that were never there before but can really help develop an artist and their fan base.

Miami has a rich electronic music history. How does performing at a festival, like III Points, feel compared to other cities? What are you most excited about? It feels sexier in Miami. The goal is to get groovy!

If someone was making a cocktail inspired by you, what would be in it and what would it be called?

Tequila straight out of the bottle. Call it Techno + Tequila.

Do you have any funny show or festival stories that particularly stand out to you?

Those stories are better left untold…

Imagine you’re planning your own music festival—what three artists or bands are headlining with you?

Getter, Andrea Bocelli, and Dead & Co. Variety is the spice of life.

WHAT GOOD GOOD RELEASE IS YOUR ZODIAC SIGN?

From late-night texts to festival chaos, every Good Good Records release carries its own emotional frequency. We mapped the label’s catalog to the zodiac to decode your ultimate dance-floor personality — whether you’re a chaotic Aries chasing the drop, a nostalgic Cancer replaying last summer, or a Virgo who only dances when the mix is perfectly clean. Find your sign, find your sound, and see which track has been secretly soundtracking your life all along.

Aries: “Fuck It Up”- Disco Lines & SIDEPIECE

Aries wants maximum chaos with minimum hesitation. “Fuck It Up” feels like impulsive decisions, screaming with your friends, and suddenly ending up at the afters without a plan. This is pure main-character festival energy.

Cancer: “All I Want Is You” - Disco Lines Cancer signs romanticize literally everything. This track feels like blurry flash photos, texting someone you shouldn’t miss, and crying a little during the prettiest part of the drop.

Taurus: “Peace of Mind”- Disco Lines, Ship Wrek & Daya

Taurus secretly wants emotional stability *and* luxury vibes. “Peace of Mind” has that warm, euphoric feeling of driving home after a perfect night out with your favorite people. Comfort-core house music.

Leo: “Disco Boy” - Disco Lines

Leos need a soundtrack for walking into the venue like they’re entering a runway show. “Disco Boy” is confident, flashy, playful, and fully aware everyone is watching.

Gemini: “RWEOK?” - Disco Lines & demotapes Geminis communicate exclusively through memes, irony, and emotional spirals. “RWEOK?” sounds like having 14 tabs open mentally while still somehow being the funniest person at the function.

Virgo: “shine” - Disco Lines & wes mills

Virgos are emotionally organized but internally dramatic. “shine” feels polished, intentional, and uplifting in a very controlled way — like healing yourself through carefully curated playlists and color-coded routines.

DISCODISCOGOODGOODDISCODISCOGOODGOODDISC

Libra: “Honey” - Disco Lines & Gabriella Libras love flirtation, aesthetics, and making every moment feel cinematic. “Honey” sounds like dancing with someone attractive under pink lighting while pretending you’re in an indie coming-ofage movie.

Capricorn: “you and i” - wes mills

Capricorns act emotionally unavailable but secretly want devotion. “you and i” has that restrained emotional energy that feels mature, focused, and quietly sentimental beneath the surface.

Scorpio: “Cocaine Inside My Blunts” - Disco Lines

Scorpio gets the most unhinged release on the label because obviously they do. Darker, chaotic, slightly dangerous, but still magnetic — the exact energy of disappearing into the crowd at 2:47 AM.

Aquarius: “starlight” - Disco Lines, wes mills & Madeline Follin

Aquarius gets the dreamy internet-angel anthem. “starlight” feels futuristic, nostalgic, detached, and emotional at the same time — like staring out an airplane window pretending you’re in a music video.

Sagittarius: “MDMA” - Disco Lines

Sagittarius wants freedom, experiences, and stories they’ll probably exaggerate later. “MDMA” feels like spontaneous flights, festival weekends, and becoming best friends with strangers for six hours.

Pisces: “Baby Girl” - Disco Lines

Pisces was born to emotionally attach themselves to “Baby Girl.” It’s soft, nostalgic, romantic, and euphoric in a way that feels almost unreal — like remembering the best night of your life through a dream filter.

FEATURED ARTIST OF THE MONTH:

KLARCK

“Klark is bringing back 2016 melodic house with his latest single: Somehow.”

Q: WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO MAKE MUSIC?

“I’M

INSPIRED BY THE ABILITY TO EXPRESS WHO I AM THROUGH MUSIC. TRAVELING TO DIFFERENT COUNTRIES BRINGS NEW PERSPECTIVES THAT PUSH ME TO EXPERIMENT, AND LIVING IN LOS ANGELES, BEING SURROUNDED BY SO MUCH CULTURE, KEEPS THAT CREATIVE ENERGY CONSTANTLY EVOLVING.”

While most producers chase trends, Klarck is building an entire world. The Los Angeles-based producer blends house music with cinematic melodies and Asian-inspired instrumentation, creating tracks that feel equally made for late-night drives and packed dance floors. Classically trained on piano since childhood, Klarck’s sound carries an emotional depth that separates him from the typical internet-house wave. Through releases on Good Good Records, he’s quickly becoming one of the label’s most exciting rising names, balancing nostalgic warmth, forward-thinking production, and the kind of melodic storytelling that makes listeners feel like they’re inside a movie scene instead of a club.

This month Klarck has released his latest single: Somehow. Klarck is bringing back 2016 melodic house with his latest single: Somehow. The track feels nostalgic without sounding dated, blending warm melodic production, uplifting house rhythms, and the kind of bittersweet emotion that hits hardest during late-night drives or festival sunsets. “Somehow” captures that strange feeling of trying to hold onto a moment while knowing it’s already slipping away. It’s introspective, cinematic, and deeply human proving Klarck’s music isn’t just built for dance floors, but for memories too. Klarck leans fully into the emotional storytelling that’s made him one of the most exciting names on [Good Good Records]

Somehow is available for streaming on all platforms. Interested in his set? Listen to his guest mix on Good Good Radio, and his most recent set (my personal favorite) DTLA Radio Friends & Family Guest Mix with Klarck. Both set are available on SoundCloud.
