START: FRIDAY 25 SEPTEMBER 2026 REGISTRATION OPENS: 7:00PM – 7:30PM PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE EARLIER THAN 7:00PM – OUR TEAM WILL BE SETTING UP AND WON’T BE READY TO RECEIVE CAMPERS BEFORE THEN. PLEASE ENSURE CAMPERS HAVE HAD DINNER BEFORE ARRIVING We know some of you have requested specific bunkmates for your Young People. we've opted not to allocate bunkrooms in advance and self-allocate the majority of campers. (To squeeze more campers in, some female campers will be in the backcabins this year - which will be allocated in advance - which is mostly females from Waimakariri Parish and a few from CHCH North). What that means is, if your child wants to be in a room with a friend, please arrive at the same time with them if possible.

END: SUNDAY 27 SEPTEMBER AT 1:30PM THE WAY WE FINISH CAMP IS CHANGING THIS YEAR. FAMILIES ARE WARMLY INVITED TO JOIN US FOR OUR FINAL MASS AT 11.30AM AT WOODEND CHRISTIAN CAMP. WHILE CAMPERS HAVE LUNCH AND A FINAL SESSION AFTER MASS, PARENTS, YOUNGER SIBLINGS AND FRIENDS ARE INVITED TO JOIN US FOR "COFFEE AND CAKE" IN THE TRAINING CENTRE WHICH IS THE OTHER BUILDING TO THE WEST OF THE MAIN BLOCK FROM AFTER MASS UNTIL 1.30PM. CAMP WILL OFFICIALLY CONCLUDE AT 1.30PM. CAMPERS MUST BE COLLECTED BY 1.45PM, AS OUR TEAM IS UNABLE TO PROVIDE CARE AFTER THAT TIME.

Food to Share: Home baking or a packet of biscuits/cookies for morning/afternoon teas and a bottle of fizzy or juice. All other meals are provided with all dietaries taken into account. Medication: Bring clearly labelled medication. Parents, please speak to the Health team on arrival. Gear List: Sleeping bag & pillow (with pillowcase) Towel & toiletries Warm, comfortable clothes (at least 3 changes) – all rooms have heaters but it can get very cold at Woodend. Closed-toe shoes and clothes for getting messy. These clothes might not return home in the condition they arrived at camp in. Closed toe shoes are really important here - we'd hate for someone to miss out on the activities because of this.
