Ireland Needs Fatima - Main Rosary Rally in Dublin, Saturday 14th May, 2022 Ireland Needs Fatima - ISFCC Irish Society for Christian Civilisation is an organisation of lay Catholic Irishmen and Irishwomen concerned with the moral crisis shaking the remnants of Christendom. Our foundation in 2004 was inspired by the work of Prof. Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira, founder of the Brazilian Society for the Defence of Tradition, Family & Property. Today, with its members, volunteers and donors, we are on the front lines of the Culture War, peacefully defending the values of Tradition, Family and Property. 515 Public Rosary Rallies Burst into the Public Square Across Ireland Thousands of Irish Catholics celebrated the 105th anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima by holding 515 Public Rosary Rallies on May 14th. The
rallies represent one of the biggest widespread public manifestations of the Faith in Ireland in recent years. Irish Society for Christian Civilisation (ISFCC) and its Ireland Needs Fatima campaign organised these rosary rallies as a fitting way to commemorate Our Lady’s call to challenge the culture and resist the waves of sin and aberrations rocking the nation. The effort has captured the imagination of many. The number of rallies is growing quickly. To put the event in context, 515 Rosary rallies mean nearly one million Hail Marys prayed in the public square! Just about every nook and cranny of Ireland was reached. These rallies are 515 more reasons for the devil to shake in his shackles in fear of Our Lady! “One person described it as a tsunami of graces for Ireland, and it really was!”
Rosary Rally captain Gregory Murphy said. “I’m sure that God will bless Ireland, despite the nation’s sins and shortcomings, after having so many Rosary Rallies in honour of His Mother.” “You can see the joy and happiness in the faces of the attendees,” he added. “You also have to remember that this was the first time many of these people publicly expressed their Faith.” “It’s a great honour for me to be a rosary rally captain for Our Lady of Fatima,” commented one rally caption. “It’s lovely to pray privately, but we need more public prayer to let them see [that] religion and God and faith won’t be stamped off the face of the earth. In Ireland, we will shout from the gallows, ‘Ireland belongs to God and Our Lady.’” “When you called on the phone, I asked Our Lady ‘Why did you pick me? I’m not worthy for this,” one devout man reported.

“Then I thought, Our Lady is calling us to do stuff like this. This is the first time I have ever done anything like this, but I really felt called to do [it].” “More and more people are looking to the Fatima message because it offers a sure remedy to the moral crisis in society.” Gregory Murphy continued. “In other words, prayer, penance and conversion are the answer to a world that has abandoned God.” For more information please visit our website www.isfcc.org

How Narrow Is The Gate, And Strait Is The Way That Leadeth To Life: And Few There Are That Find It! John Lacken ***NB Parents beware - this article contains material that is not suitable for children NB*** I regularly check the Irish Bishops’ website to see if there is any interesting news. This week there was an advertisement for a webinar to be given by Professor Thomas Groome (see image right). Professor Thomas Groome has been criticised for his position on women’s ordination. In an article for the Boston Globe in 2002, responding to the sexual abuse crisis, Professor Groome stated the following. “Likewise, the presence of women as priests and bishops would be an extraordinary gift to the life of the Catholic Church. What a loss it is when ordained ministry is limited to men, excluding the consciousness and gifts of women; at best we benefit from only half our priestly resources. To ordain women would surely hasten the demise of clericalism -- the antithesis to priesthood as servant leadership -and catalyze a renewed ministry of “holy order.”” What many Catholics will not realise is that Professor Thomas Groome is a former priest who was laicised so that he could marry. In a interview in 2017 with the author Andrew Shatkin, Shatkin asked Professor Groome about homosexuality. Professor Groome responded. “I have gay friends who are committed to living a celibate lifestyle and I am in awe of their commitment and their spirituality that helps to sustain them, but it would be very difficult to say that My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love Thee. I beg pardon of Thee for all those that do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love Thee. Amen. Angel to the Children of Fatima 1916

every..., that 10% of our population who are gay have to remain celibate. I mean the Catholic Church has always talked about celibacy as a particular charism, as a special gift from God, now to just simply mandate 10% of the population to have that charism seems somewhat stretching the point. You see also the church, for a long time we thought that…, the church has to be informed by contemporary science, especially medical science and psychology and the disciplines of learning, and you see for a long time, for about 5,000 years I suppose in the western world we just looked upon people who had same-sex attraction as perverts, we thought they were perverts to the human condition and now we know that that’s not true, it is not a chosen lifestyle, they didn’t choose to be gay. This is how God made people. God makes about 10% of the population gay, and you have to say then well 10% of the body of Christ, the Church is gay and should be welcomed, should be included.” Thomas Groome then seeks to use the book of Genesis to
assert that God created some people as homosexuals and that homosexuality is part of the image and likeness of God. He says “I think when Catholics sound as if gay people are a disordered attachment, this kind of stuff, are a disordered condition, I think we’re flying in the face of Genesis chapter one and are denying that all are made in the image and likeness of God.” Andrew Shatkin then asks Thomas Groome if he believes that those in committed sexually active homosexual relationships should be barred from Holy Communion. Rather than answer the question, Thomas Groome proceeds to tell the story of a friend of his who is “an old conservative traditional Irish catholic” who has a ‘gay’ son. This mother was “absolutely delighted” when her son met “a very fine young man” and got married to him because now he wasn’t sleeping around and cruising on the ‘gay’ scene’. Professor Groome concludes the story by saying “It was just a mother’s heart saying, “well thank God that he found a partner and, will he be happier, will he be more content, will he live a better life?””

“Of course he’s living a far better life in fact they’re going to Church as well, and so, I think a lot of our episcopal leaders and church leaders who hold forth on this issue might sound very different if they themselves had a gay son or daughter, or a grandson or a granddaughter... I think these episcopal leaders would sing a very different song...” What you witness here is classic Thomas Groome and his method of what he calls ‘Shared Christian Praxis’. In the above example, he uses an emotional story to undermine Catholic Church teaching without actually answering the question he was asked and without actually saying anything specific against Catholic doctrine. By sharing how loving the homosexual couple are and how accepting the “conservative traditional Irish catholic” mother is, he frames the story in a way that makes those who would follow Catholic Church teaching on forbidding those in an objective state of mortal sin from receiving Holy Communion, as the bad guys. Nobody wants to be the bad guy and this leads people to compromise their Catholic faith. I wonder would professor Groome react the same way if the mother of a serial killer was thankful because her son decided that he would only kill one person per year instead of several. After all, such a man would be living a better life than before according to the professor’s metrics.
ON CHRISTIANS AS CITIZENS 13 Brighid and Paddy - ‘catholic’ couple who proudly voted for sinful relationships that are offensive to God and encouraged others to do the same.
homosexual relationships within the Catholic Church in Ireland and within the Catholic schools of Ireland. They are permitting the undermining of the faith of young Catholic children whom God has entrusted to their care. The primary duty to educate children in the faith rests with Catholic parents, who are supposed to be helped by their bishops. Many Catholic parents in Ireland are also failing in their duty to their children, but those of us who take that duty seriously, rarely find true support amongst the Irish episcopate to help us to raise saints for the Kingdom of God.
We must continue to pray for our bishops, that they will courage from St Thomas More and from St Oliver This method was very effectively used to undermine take Plunkett that they will begin to resist the LGBT Catholic Church teaching in the same-sex referendum ideology and and its global promoters. of 2015. One of the videos used to support the ‘Yes’ campaign, featured an elderly Irish couple from rural Ireland, Brighid and Paddy, who were fifty years married and who claimed to be Roman Catholic. At one point Brighid says, “I know, the ever loving God that we believe in, will say we did the right thing and the Christian thing in voting ‘Yes’ for marriage equality.” Paddy brought out the old canard about “what if one of your children or grandchildren tells you they are gay and asks you how did you vote.” The sinfulness of homosexual relations was ignored. As I said to one Fine Gael supporter, I would say to my child the same thing I would say if they told me they were a thief or an adulterer. “I do not condemn you, go and sin no more” Once again we must ask, why are the Irish bishops promoting a man who publicly holds views which are contrary to Catholic Church teaching, especially when this same man has gained influence in the teaching of supposed catechetics to children? The Irish bishops are failing Catholic parents and they are failing Catholic children when they promote men with views that are obviously not in accord with Catholic Church teaching. It might be objected that the Irish bishops were not aware of Professor Thomas Groome’s views. In this case their failure is one of due diligence because they have a duty to protect children from those who promote falsehoods and who promote an erroneous understanding of what it means to be Catholic. Let’s be honest. Irish bishops, sometimes by their positive actions and sometimes by their failure to act or their omissions, are permitting the promotion of active
