2022 CHURCH STAFF Pastor – Fr. Clark Fr. Clark is the Pastor at St. Peter Catholic Church. He is responsible for the vision and direction of St. Peter Church and School. As shepherd of our church, he guides us in formation and sacramental life.
Assistant Pastor – Fr. Brian Wirth Fr. Wirth assists the pastor in leadership, administrative and sacramental life for St. Peter Catholic Church. Fr. Wirth teaches at Pius X High School and is Director of Rural Life in the diocese.
Assistant Pastor – Fr. Jason Doher Fr. Doher assists the pastor in leadership, administrative and sacramental life for St. Peter Catholic Church. Fr. Doher is Vicar for the retirement homes in our parish boundaries and also serves as a cochaplain at Frassati.
Parish Manager – Katherine Norman Katherine assists the pastor to ensure the vision, mission and goals of St. Peter Catholic Church and School are achieved. She manages parish staff and volunteers, as well as coordinates the stewardship program. Katherine welcomes parishioners and guests to our parish, fosters stewardship as a way of life, and supports ministry leaders. As our parishioners become more active in parish life, they become better stewards and grow closer to Jesus.
Parish Catechist – Blake Vajgrt Blake coordinates all youth and adult faith formation including CCD, GodTeens, RCIA, Totus Tuus, bible studies, as well as other formation for our staff and adults in our parish. As our Parish Catechist, Blake works closely with Fr. Clark and Fr. Bedient to ensure the mission of Jesus Christ is fulfilled, to make disciples by participating in His ministry as priest, prophet and king.

WHERE IN THE WORLD ST. PAUL BEFORE
Where in the world is St. Paul Outside the Walls? Maybe you’ve asked yourself that question this past year after looking at the bulletin, seeing a Facebook post, or receiving an invitation to an event from a staff member. St. Paul Outside the Walls, the parish formation and hospitality room, is located in the south wing of the Church building. Over the past year, the school’s music room has been repurposed to meet the needs of parish ministry and improve school safety. St. Paul Outside the Walls namesake isn’t just about an idea, but also about a place. It’s named after one of the four basilicas in Rome. The Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls was built upon the traditional location of St. Paul’s beheading. Paul’s beheading occurred outside the city walls of Rome, hence the name ‘outside the Walls’. Its pilgrimage route also contain the traditional location of where Jesus heading into Rome met St. Peter leaving Rome to avoid impending death. Peter asked the Lord, “Where are you going?” Jesus replied, “To Rome to be crucified again.” Strengthened by the encounter, Peter turns and heads back into the city to be put to death and feeling unworthy to be crucified in the same manner as Jesus, requests to be hung upside down.

Peter and Paul, linked by mission and feast day, share the same feast day, June 29th. Peter built up the Church and Paul working with him built it out. The name for the room, St. Paul Outside the Walls, was chosen because as a parish we must recognize the need to bring others in and go out to encounter the Lord Jesus.
IS OUTSIDE THE WALLS? Paul in his letter to the Romans tells his listeners to “be transformed by the renewal of your minds… let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good…and practice hospitality.” The room has been designed with that intent in mind. It now serves as a beautiful space to meet for small groups and conferences, an event and reception venue, and a home base for the Mass refreshment ministry, RCIA, middle school CCD, and other ministries.
AFTER
The room is also available for active parishioners to reserve for baptism parties, gathering spaces for wedding parties and guest, a family room during funerals, and other social functions. Stop in to enjoy a cup of coffee, grab a bottle of water, and possibly find a sweet treat on occasion during the week compliments of the Mass Refreshment Ministry. Our parochial vicars, Fr. Jason Doher and Fr. Brian Wirth, as well as Parish Catechist, Blake Vajgrt, have office spaces inside the room. So now, if you hear anyone ask, “Where is St. Paul Outside the Walls?” You can respond, “Come join me in fellowship” as together you go to encounter the Lord Jesus by renewing the mind by formation and the spirit by hospitality. Refreshed, you can now go out into the world just like Paul to proclaim, “Jesus is Lord.”

The Acolytes Ministry offers adult men of the parish an opportunity to serve the church by assisting the celebrant at Mass on Sunday and Holy Days. This is a great ministry to deepen your faith and become closer to Jesus. Training is once at the beginning of the year at the chancery. Around-the-clock adoration with Eucharistic Exposition on weekdays. Key to the success of Eucharistic Adoration are the 150+ parishioners who faithfully keep their assigned hours every week. Lectors proclaim the Word of God within liturgical celebrations including Mass, funerals, weddings and Liturgy of the Hours. Particular skills of public speaking are required and an extended formation is required. The proclamation of Sacred Scripture is a very important ministry, which needs to be done with competence and skill in order that the Holy Spirit may be fostered in the hearts of those present. To be effective, readers need to make adequate preparation including study, prayer and practice. Readers have a loud, clear and unhurried speaking voice. The Boy Scout Program teaches skills to boys and young men, ages 11-18. These are skills they can use throughout their lives. GODTEEN COUPLES
The GodTeen Program is a catechetical formation program for high school students of the parish. The program of Sunday meetings is meant to further a deeper understanding and love of our Catholic faith through discussion facilitated by a married couple from the parish. The Godparent couple commits to a four-year program and each teen remains in the same group for all four years. MARRIAGE PREPARATION CLASS
Helps engaged couples prepare for the Sacrament of Marriage and married life through various topics and a FOCCUS Inventory. Couples who are engaged will be contacted to meet with married couples who will often lead discussions on Communication, Spirituality, Married Intimacy, Financial Responsibility, and Marriage as a Sacrament. There is hope and healing for Catholic families who civilly divorce. When you married, you intended it to last a lifetime. Now you have been faced with a difficult situation and a time of grief and great pain for the loss of the dream you had for your life. You are single again and probably have many responsibilities that will need your attention. The first thing you must do is to take good care of yourself. Your children, your job, your extended family will all suffer more if you are not healthy and hopeful for the future. We’re here to help, and to encourage healing through the sacraments where you’ll personally encounter Christ — with all His love and tender mercies. Whether you got divorced recently or 10 years ago, this ministry offers valuable insight for everyone. “Come to me, all you who labor and are overburdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). SERVICE CHURCH CLEANING
Parishioners clean and dust statues, vigil lights and the main altar area, sweep, vacuum, dust pews, mop, straighten up, and shine up the glass/windows, etc. Volunteers are scheduled to clean on Saturday mornings at 9 a.m. and can choose between the first, second, third, fourth or fifth Saturday. You may also clean when you are available as well. This is a great way to give an extra hour of your time every month to take care of your parish. PCCW (PARISH COUNCIL OF CATHOLIC WOMEN)
The purpose of the St. Peter Council of Catholic Women (PCCW) is to give glory to God through prayer, study and service, for our parish community and the community in which we live. We aim to serve the needs and unite the women of St. Peter in spiritual, educational and social activities. We also aid financially with the needs of the altar, sanctuary and the parish in general. People are needed to take pictures of parish life at different events, celebrations and Sacraments we have throughout the year. The Photo Ministry will also meet to organize, digitalize and archive photos from the past. Anyone who has a passion for photography, organizing and love of our parish, is welcome to join. Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic lay organization, leads women and men to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are needy and suffering. HOSPITALITY FUNERAL LUNCHEON
As a service to the family who is grieving, PCCW serves and provides a meal immediately following the funeral service. A few days prior, a Sign-Up Genius is made and sent out for people to volunteer to provide a dessert or side dish for the luncheon. Also, volunteers are needed to serve the meal. Often these luncheons can be quite large, so many volunteers are needed and appreciated. The Mass Refreshment ministry serves food and drinks once a month after the weekend Masses to parishioners and visitors. We plan an annual parish fundraiser once a year. It is an auction, wine, craft beer and food event that is held on a Friday evening at the parish. USHERS
With an attitude of hospitality, ushers serve the assembly in varied ways during the celebration of the Mass. Ushers are ministers of hospitality. They welcome people as they gather for Mass. They are to be easily visible if someone needs assistance or directions to a particular area in the church. They may help seat people or assist the physically disabled or elderly. Ushers inquire if anyone needs to have Communion brought to them in their pew. They assist in handing out worship aids for Mass. Ushers take up the collection and help direct the community at Communion time. They distribute bulletins and other materials as needed. They are observant and stay alert so they can readily assist someone that becomes ill or has a medical emergency.
