Dear friends in Christ,
The apparitions of Our Blessed Virgin Mary in Fatima May 1917 concluded with Our Lady requesting for us to pray the rosary daily for peace and for the end of war
At the present moment, humanity is facing wars again Serious conflicts among nations have led to death and destruction In our daily rosary, let us also include the innocent victims of the wars
Other wars occur in the midst of families and are the product of spiritual battles that men and women experience within. Saint Paul says the battles are not physical but spiritual in Ephesians chapter 6. As we pray for peace and the end of war with our rosary in our hands, please remember the great war Satan has against the dignity and sacredness of human life. Pray for the end of abortion, the end of euthanasia and all types of aggression against the gift of life from conception until a person takes his last breath called by our Creator.
Pray for the preservation, appreciation, and holiness of the Sacrament of marriage Other forms of unions do not reflect God's plan nor his Divine Will The saints teach us the humility of obedience to the truth as it is taught by the Magisterium of the Church and Sacred Tradition
Immaculate Heart of Mary, cause of our joy and our beloved Mother ora pro nobis.
Fr Oscar F. Castañeda

Speaker & Author
As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I offer therapy sessions for individuals, couples, and families
While I can provide in-person sessions in Indianapolis, IN, I continue to add to the list of states where I’m licensed to provide virtual sessions (so please reach out to see if your state is on my list)! I also provide coaching based on my book Single Truth. For couples, I am trained in PREPARE/ENRICH, FOCUS/REFOCUS, SYMBIS (Save Your Marriage Before It Starts), and the Gottman Relationship Checkup I’m expanding my speaking opportunities and would be honored to share my message with your church, business, organization or event.
Through You Are More, LLC I bring faith to life and life to faith as I help individuals, couples, and families discover that they are not defined by their relationship status, job title, season in life, diagnosis, or any other box they feel stuck in I do this through counseling, speaking, and writing Ever since writing my book Single Truth: You are more than your relationship status, I wrote “You are more!” before every signature. When I received a nudge to leave group practice after 10 years, I felt inspired to expand this signature phrase into a full-time endeavor. Even if people do not work with me, I can encourage
them through the business name alone. Not only are we more than our labels that get us stuck, God is more than anything that we face.
I never imagined I would be single in my mid30’s, but because of that I have developed a passion to bring hope to those whose hearts ache in their single season Though I thoroughly enjoy working with couples and enriching relationship satisfaction, I find great purpose in connecting with the hearts of single people. In both types of sessions, I validate feelings and experiences while helping clients to discover the meaning in their story.
In addition to my MA in marriage and family therapy, I also hold an MA in Theology from Notre Dame via the Echo Program My experience of working in ministry informs the encounter I have with clients in the therapy room. Our hearts are restless until we rest in God and there’s a more qualified counselor than me in the room --- the Holy Spirit. The first words of my first counseling class were, “Be still and know that I am God.” I don’t have all the answers, but I can connect clients with the One who does Rarely do couples pray together so it’s been impactful for me to facilitate prayer in sessions to help them connect with God and one another more deeply.
St. Francis is my confirmation Saint and Assisi is one of my favorite places in the world. I get to take my fiancé there for our honeymoon later this year!
I’ve become more devoted to St. Joseph over the years and the 30 Day Prayer to St. Joseph never fails to astonish me!

Managing Member, Greenwich Creek Capital Management, LLC
Serving US Domestic and International clients
Using our unique and successful risk management process, we actively manage small and large investment portfolios using currencies, bonds, stocks, and commodities
The selection of the right portfolio manager can make a world of difference for individuals and families
Saul A Padilla brings a unique expertise to his clients, and the result is peace of mind for them regardless of current market conditions
Saul’s experience began with several years at two of the main investment bankers in the country and a large international bank It was there that he realized that “no one around me had the interests of my clients in mind. The industry is full of conflicts of interest that no one seems able or willing to fix.”
Following a thoughtful period of four years, he discerned, along with his wife and confessor priest to resign from his employer and start Greenwich Creek Capital Management.
Since 2008, Saul has been helping bring his clients peace of mind. He shared, “At the beginning of a new relationship, as you would expect, clients are nervous if the stock market is experiencing volatility However, as time goes by and they get accustomed to see little or manageable change in the net value of their accounts during bear market cycles, they become very calm and relaxed Giving them peace of mind in terms of their investment portfolios is our goal This is the impact we see across the board, not just on one or two clients ”
For Saul, the impact on his clients and the drive to serve them comes from a greater purpose. “I cannot separate faith and business. I cannot operate in a certain way on Sunday and differently M-F My faith plays a big role in the business and is what motivated me to start GCCM It was a call to put talent to work for the benefit of others ”
Indeed, we are called to use our talents for the greater glory of God Saul mentioned his favorite reading from Matthew 25:14-30, “The Parable of the Talents.” In addition to his years of experience and education, he credits the Grace of God with his ability to innovate his unique risk management process that has captured every bear and bull market that has ensued since starting his firm.
“There is no doubt in my mind that if I was able to develop a highly efficient risk management process, it was due to the Grace of God and not the help of my employers or my own talent Somehow, the right books and research material helped me put together the core of our risk management process, which was fine-tuned by a couple of talented and very faithful collaborators, my daughter and her husband ” In closing, Saul shared about his devotion to the Immaculate Heart. “My wife and I are devoted to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and pray together the holy Rosary daily. We are strong believers that She is the way to heaven and Jesus. We attend Sunday and day of obligation mass as well as daily whenever possible. The latter, more my wife than myself.”

Our Lady shared fifteen promises for those souls who commit themselves to this devotion. Let’s dive into some of her promises, and reflect on how that is looking or could look in our own lives
1. Whosoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary shall receive signal graces.
2. I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary.
3. The Rosary shall be a powerful armor against hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin and defeat heresies.
4. The Rosary will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire for eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
A signal grace can be one of those “coincidences” that we encounter along the way- those little signs that seem to be an answer to a prayer or a question asked These can be especially consolatory when facing many difficulties. A material reminder that our prayers are heard by the Queen of Heaven and her Son, Our Lord can revive our hope and encourage us to persevereboth of which are very helpful in our time on Earth.
The second promise talks about special protection and the greatest graces of Mary Remember, Our Lady is the Mediatrix of All Graces, so she really has them all to give to us, if only we will ask and do what she asks of us. She is promising the greatest graces she has, which are in fact the greatest graces in all of Heaven and Earth, and of all time, for taking up what is genuinely a simple practice each day
The third promise is especially powerful because after Our Lord’s sacrifice on the Cross, our primary work to get to Heaven is to remain in a state of grace Our concupiscence makes it difficult for us to achieve this Each one of us has one or more sins that we keep going back to, despite confession after confession. These types of vice and sin are the exact ones Our Lady is referring to here, and she can help us break free from them This brings to mind Ave Maris Stella “Break the captives’ fetters,” and in some translations, “Break the sinners’ fetters,” because she is truly setting free the slaves from their sins.
It is in this precise freedom that promise #4 is then fulfilled. Virtue and good works can flourish once souls are freed from vice and habitual sin. Their very hearts being changed to instead desire eternal things also reinforces the third promise It is a compounding solution for banishing sin and vice, growing in holiness and doing good works more and more.
Indeed, it is quite generous that Our Blessed Mother would promise even one of these to those who take up such a simple devotion
week, we will examine a few more of Our Lady’s promises, each more remarkable than the last In case you aren’t yet, try praying the Rosary today
"The secret of happiness is to live moment by moment and to thank God for all that He, in His goodness, sends to us day after day"
St. Teresa of Avila (1515-1582)
"If you should at times fall, don't become discouraged and stop striving to advance. For even from this fall God will draw out good."
“Jesus then said to the Twelve, “Do you also want to leave?”
Simon Peter answered him, “Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.”
John 6:67-68
It can be challenging to hold fast to Our Lord in the face of the difficulties surrounding us. A quick listen to the news of the day is enough to bring you down, and that’s not even considering the specifics of each of our own battles each day. Illness, uncertainty, financial troubles, parenting and marriage difficulties, the list could go on and on.
In John chapter six, Our Lord had been teaching that He is the Bread of Life, given by God just like the manna that was given to their ancestors He told them that His flesh and blood was true food and true drink “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day ” And He meant it very literally This was a difficult teaching to accept, and in fact many disciples left Him because they could not accept it
So He asked the Twelve if they too would leave, even though He already knew the answer
We can imagine the scene easily. When things get messy, there are always those who just check out.
But Simon Peter answered, “Master, to whom shall we go?”
Doesn’t that question get right to the heart of the matter? Is there anywhere or anyone else who has “the words of eternal life?” And even though we know the answer, do our actions reflect this truth?
Often today we can easily be tempted by so many distractions, criticisms and concerns from our daily life and the latest news about the Church. Indeed, we the faithful suffer very much in these difficult times, alongside Our Lord and Our Lady who suffer far more.
We can turn to Our Lady for comfort, seeking refuge in her Immaculate Heart. We can also follow Our Lord just like St. Peter. He answered the question in the only way that each one of us must answer every day, especially when faced with a difficult teaching, or a difficult situation. To whom shall we go?
To Jesus, through Mary.
