Dear friends,

The words of Jesus in Saint Mathew's Gospel (11:29) remind us of the "gentle mystery of Christ " "Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart and you will find rest for yourselves."

It is the only time in the Gospels that Jesus invites us to learn from the meekness and humility of His Sacred Heart Instead of the yoke of the law, much complicated by scribal interpretations, Jesus invites those who are

burdened to take the yoke of obedience to His Word, under which we will always find rest. These verses are parallel to Ben Sirach's to "learn wisdom and submit to her yoke" (Book of Sirach 51:23-26)

Traditionally the Church has honored the Sacred Heart of Jesus and dedicated to Him the month of June. The Feast was established so that the faithful might grow in reverence to Him with greater devotion and fervent love The Gospel of Saint John 19:31-37 says, "One of the soldiers opened His side with a spear and immediately came out blood and water." The Heart of our Lord opened for us on the cross has given us the Sacraments of the Church.

This devotion was specially entrusted to St Margaret Mary Alacoque in 1690, although Saint Lutgardis of Aywieres in the 12th century and Saint Gertrude in the 13th century also had received visions of the Sacred Heart.

Our Lord told Saint Margaret Mary, "Behold this Heart which is burning in love for humanity, consumed and exhausted, but meets with no other from Christians, other than sacrilege, contempt, indifference and ingratitude."

Dear friends, how can we not be moved to honor Him, love Him and repair the offenses and insults to which He is exposed? The Heart of Jesus is the Source and Fountain of mercy and Divine Compassion towards us poor sinners. Most Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on us

Indeed, we are called to use our talents for the greater glory of God Saul mentioned his favorite reading from Matthew 25:14-30, “The Parable of the Talents.” In addition to his years of experience and education, he credits the Grace of God with his ability to innovate his unique risk management process that has captured every bear and bull market that has ensued since starting his firm.

“There is no doubt in my mind that if I was able to develop a highly efficient risk management process, it was due to the Grace of God and not the help of my employers or my own talent Somehow, the right books and research material helped me put together the core of our risk management process, which was fine-tuned by a couple of talented and very faithful collaborators, my daughter and her husband ” In closing, Saul shared about his devotion to the Immaculate Heart. “My wife and I are devoted to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and pray together the holy Rosary daily. We are strong believers that She is the way to heaven and Jesus. We attend Sunday and day of obligation mass as well as daily whenever possible. The latter, more my wife than myself.”

“My favorite saint is St Andre Bessette He was the humble doorkeeper at a high school in Montreal. He put a statue of St. Joseph facing Mt. Royale and prayed to St. Joseph to help him build in a church in St. Joseph’s honor. It became reality and this was how the custom of burying St. Joseph began. I was fortunate to see the Oratory in Montreal, and it was very moving.

She worked for over 20 years as a Church Music Director and Music Teacher, and is currently doing so at All Saints Catholic Church and School in Sunrise, Florida. At 8 years old, I started singing with my mother in the church, whether it was as part of the school choir or as a cantor at weekend Masses, and continued singing at Masses with her as an adult. She set the ultimate example of how to use the gifts that God has blessed you with to glorify Him in return. I recognize that God has blessed me with the gift to be able to help children with communication needs So it is my duty to be able to share this gift with families

My Catholic faith also inspired the name of my practice – Grace Therapy Solutions As Catholics we know that the only real solution to any of our problems, difficulties or obstacles in life lies in offering them all up to the Lord because he is the Ultimate Solution And we are only granted solutions through His loving grace God’s grace is healing Throughout my career I have prayed for the grace to be patient and loving during trying times. And I am constantly giving grace to my clients who struggle daily to communicate, and to parents who might be juggling countless responsibilities.

Growing up with a musical mom, our favorite saint was always St. Cecilia. She is the patron saint of music and musicians, mainly singers. She used her voice to worship and glorify God. As a speech therapist, I like to think that my helping children to use their voice is glorification to God as well.

St. Anthony of Padua

St. Anthony of Padua was a humble priest to whom God gave the incredible gift of preaching and through whom God worked many miracles for souls He showed remarkable perseverance in preaching to heretics and nonbelievers, striving ardently, sometimes for days, to bring them to the fullness of the truth.

In one incident, a nobleman and his family had ceased attending Mass and denied the True Presence in the Eucharist. St. Anthony quickly came up with a plan. He asked, if the man’s horse would recognize Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Eucharist, would be enough for him to believe?

St Anthony instructed the man to not feed his horse for three days, and the man believed it a foolish exercise.

After the three days, St. Anthony brought the Eucharist to the stall, and instructed the man to bring also a portion of oats for the hungry horse

Remarkably, the horse ignored the oats and instead knelt down to worship Our Lord in the Eucharist. The nobleman was immediately convinced and he and his family returned to the Sacraments

In the same town of Rimini, St Anthony had been preaching for days to a group of faithless heretics, whose hearts had only become hardened further.

Inspired by God, St. Anthony went to the sea to show that even creatures lacking reason could hear the Word

He began to speak to the fish: "Listen to the word of God, O ye fishes of the sea and of the river, seeing that the faithless heretics refuse to do so."

No sooner had he spoken these words than suddenly so great a multitude of fishes, both small and great, approached the bank on which he stood, that never before had so many been seen in the sea or the river. All kept their heads out of the water, and seemed to be looking attentively on St Anthony's face; all were ranged in perfect order and most peacefully, the smaller ones in front near the bank, after them came those a little bigger, and last of all, were the water was deeper, the largest

When they had placed themselves in this order, St Anthony began to preach to them most solemnly ”

The miracle continued, and the people of the city hurried to the shore to witness it. The heretics were touched in their hearts and finally listened to St Anthony about the Catholic faith, all of them converted and the faithful invigorated in their faith

Many such miracles are attributed to this Franciscan saint, and countless souls were saved thanks to his obedience to God’s call He also had a heart for the poor and profound devotion to Our Lord in the Eucharist, as well as the Child Jesus, with whom he is most often depicted.

Ultima Verba

Devotion to the Heart of Jesus has been around since His Sacred Heart began beating in the Womb of Our Blessed Mother.

For many years, only St Joseph and the Blessed Virgin knew intimately the Sacred Heart of their Son The true Heart of God that so many had longed to know fully for 4,000 years, they were chosen to know Him and be fully known by Him too.

Then, during Our Lord’s ministry on earth, His disciples began to know His Heart, too When He showed mercy and pity, they saw His Heart. And when Lazarus had died, they saw His Heart when He wept with His friends.

When the soldier pierced His Precious Side with a lance, the life-giving sacrifice of Calvary was complete, as the Precious Blood and Water gushed forth from His side as was prophesied.

While the formal revelation of the devotion to the Sacred Heart was given to St Margaret Mary Alacoque beginning in December 1674, many popes and saints wrote about the Heart of Jesus.

Today, the devotion is well-known, and yet not well enough. In 1856, Pope Pius IX made the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart an obligatory feast throughout the universal Church, and we are seeing an increase in the devotees of the Nine First Fridays devotion

In sharing His Sacred Heart with us, He is inviting us to a closer union with Him; to share in His joys and in His sorrows, and to bring our own to Him as well

In a world that rejects Him and turns away from His Mercy, His message is that the time for mercy is now May we in this community and the entire Church grow in devotion to Our Lord in the Eucharist, and to His Sacred Heart, so that we too may receive the Mercy He so greatly longs to give to us

Prayer for today: Divine Heart of Jesus, I offer you through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Mother of the Church, in union with the Eucharistic Sacrifice, my prayers, actions, joys and sufferings of this day in reparation for sins and for the salvation of all people, in the grace of the Holy Spirit for the glory of the Heavenly Father Amen
