This building is the original Cathedral School for boys built in 1919, just three years after the beautiful Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist was completed. Over 100 years later, the Middle School Building on our campus needs a thorough restoration.
A complete HVAC upgrade is needed to replace the loud and inefficient window units Our classroom walls are deteriorating due to moisture that continues to seep through the original bricks and mortar New exterior windows are required to accommodate central air and heating. A handicap accessible ramp will be added to meet fire and safety codes. The interior facelift will include new flooring, replastered walls, fresh paint, LED light fixtures, an upstairs restroom, added fire sprinkler system, and electrical upgrade for security, intercom, and instructional technology
The goal of a Catholic education is the formation of the whole person – uniting the intellectual and the spiritual, the mind and the heart. The restoration of this Middle School Building and the future renovations of the 2nd - 4th grade building will preserve the future of Cathedral-Carmel School On behalf of our current students and those who will one day walk the halls of CCS, we ask that you prayerfully consider joining us in our restoration efforts. Thank you for your support as we continue to provide a strong Catholic education, forming Christ-centered students.
