CVCC’s Corporate Development Center is the region’s leader in providing professional development opportunities for citizens and community business partners in Catawba & Alexander Counties. Our services combine the best elements of our Continuing Education programs, Customized Training, and the Small Business Center to ensure we offer the best training solutions for your workforce development or individual career needs.
We specialize in custom-designed educational programs to meet all your employment training requirements. Whether you desire to start or grow a small business, up-skill your existing workforce, or advance your personal career skillset, we have a solution for you.
SHORT-TERM TRAINING
MOST UNDER 60 HOURS
The CVCC CDC division offers a wide variety of short-term classes from one-hour to 60 hours to meet the needs of our community partners, such as software certifications, Small Business Center programs, and customized training programs.
SPECIALIZED INDUSTRY TRAINING
APPROXIMATELY 100+ HOURS
CVCC offers many different Academies and programs designed to meet the specific needs of our industry partners. The Academies will have a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on skills training. There is also the opportunity for on-the-job experience in some of the Academies.
STACKABLE CERTIFICATIONS
200+ HOURS
CVCC has created several pathways for individuals who would like to continue their education in specific areas. Individuals can earn stackable credentials (certifications) or industry recognized certifications.
