EXCELLENCE IN TEACHING AWARD WINNER
Dr. Christopher Moore, Full-time History Instructor
This year’s full-time award winner, Dr. Christopher Moore, joined our History department in 2016. Dr. Moore loves to tell stories; in particular, he is interested in the ways that history and religion shape the stories we tell about ourselves. He states, “I am a college professor, and I cannot imagine doing anything else. When I stand before students, whether lecturing, sparking discussion, or facilitating debate, I believe that I am doing what I was put on earth to do. In the words of Parker Palmer, teaching makes me feel like I am honoring my true self.”
