A LETTER FROM PASTOR JASON ONE of the most important things the gospel compels us to is living our lives For the Glory of the ONE, to reach the ONE MORE. This isn’t just what we do, it’s who we are called to be. We are a Catalyst people who radically love God with everything we have and passionately love others into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Over the past several years, God has been doing “immeasurably more than we could ever ask or imagine.” And I believe that we are walking into one of the most exciting and faith-challenging seasons in the history of our church. For the next two years, we are going to do everything we can to bring to life the vision that God has for Catalyst Church. FOR THE ONE is a two-year discipleship initiative that is going to require 100% participation from everyone who calls Catalyst Church home. It is going to challenge us to boldly answer this question: “Is JESUS the ONE THING that drives every other thing in my life?” It’s going to challenge us to greater levels of surrender, faith and generosity. We look forward with great anticipation to what God will do in and through Catalyst as we seek to make an even greater impact in our communities, and around our world. So here we go Catalyst! Lets live FOR THE ONE! In Christ Alone - For His Glory,
Pastor Jason Brinker
WHERE WE’VE BEEN
CATALYST CHURCH HISTORY A story of God’s faithfulness
1890
Jacksonville Baptist Church was birthed from a small group of believers who had a vision to reach the Village of Jacksonville.
1941
The City of Jacksonville and Onslow County experienced rapid growth with the opening of Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base and 4 other bases. Jacksonville grew rapidly younger and is still considered to be one of the youngest cities in America.

1991
First Baptist Church, which was downtown on Ann Street experienced substantial growth and again God gave them a vision to reach the city of Jacksonville with the Gospel. So about 500 people began to dream, to pray and begin to give financially to move from downtown to the middle of nowhere, Gum Branch Road.
1998
They bought 27 acres and built the buildings we’re in now. It’s amazing to think about the faith and generosity of those 500 people and how God used them to create this building, a home He’s used to reach so many for Jesus.

2008
At that time, the church was without a pastor and had been plateaued for several years. The city was getting younger while the congregation was growing older. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, the church connected with Jason Brinker, a church planter, from Seattle, Washington, who was called to be their pastor. In November 2008, he became the Lead Pastor. Around 900 people were part of the church then, and together they began to dream boldly about becoming the kind of church God was calling them to be for Onslow County.
We clarified our Mission, Vision and Values. Catalyst Mission To love all people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Vision We believe that a Great Commitment to the Great Commandment and the great commission will grow a great church. - Rick Warren. Values Love God Love Each Other Love Our World

2012
We moved from Sunday School to Life Groups. Our vision wasn’t to be a church with Groups, but to become a Church of Groups where people are intentionally growing in Biblical Community.
2013
The church embraced a multi-site vision, one church with multiple campuses, releasing people to be the church where they live. A second campus was launched at Northside High School, just a few miles away, with the mission to love one more to Jesus. God blessed those efforts, and the church learned a great deal through the experience. Although the campus was successful, its close proximity to the central campus created some challenges, leading to the decision to bring it back to the Jacksonville campus.

2017
We started to ask ourselves, if we weren’t here would our city notice. So we launched LOVE LOUD weeks where we mobilized our people to serve our community.
2018
We changed our name from First Baptist Church of Jacksonville to Catalyst Church with a vision to plant campuses in other cities in Onslow County and beyond.

2018
When Hurricane Florence devastated parts of the region, Catalyst Church played a major role in the recovery efforts. The church became one of the disaster relief center for all of Onslow County—feeding tens of thousands of people, housing relief workers, and mobilizing volunteers from across the church to serve the community.
2020
The Catalyst Church Richlands Campus was launched at Richlands High School, and two weeks later, COVID struck. Despite the challenges, the campus continued to faithfully serve the city of Richlands throughout that season and has since grown to reach about 300 to 350 people each week.

2021
Following COVID, Thursday night services were introduced, and they have experienced significant growth. Attendance now averages around 600 each week. These services have provided a valuable opportunity for volunteers and Catalyst members who are unable to attend on weekends.
COVID-19
During the COVID pandemic, Catalyst transitioned to a fully online format. Each ministry adapted to reach individuals in their homes, bringing the message of Jesus directly to them. We offered online worship services, messages, Life Groups, and additional resources. Throughout this challenging season, God remained faithful, sustaining our community and keeping the Catalyst family connected.

2025
In 2025 alone, 667 individuals entered the waters of baptism, publicly professing their faith.
2024
Rapid and sustained growth has created both opportunity and urgency. Additional services have been added and continue to reach capacity, frequently requiring overflow seating in the lobby. Parking systems have been restructured to move vehicles in and out as efficiently as possible. At every level, we are actively adapting to the pressure of growth while remaining committed to making room for one more.

WHERE WE ARE NOW
BAPTISMS Baptism does not make someone a believer; rather, it is an outward expression of an inward commitment to follow Jesus. Since 2008, we have seen significant growth in baptisms, reflecting our commitment to loving all people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Catalyst has always been focused on reaching one more, and we are encouraged to see this impact continue to grow through For the One.

WHERE WE’RE GOING
PRIMARY GOAL 100% ENGAGEMENT What is the ONE thing in my life that drives everything in my life? We are challenging 100% of us as a Church family to take our next steps in living for the ONE, so that we might reach THE ONE. What is my next step?
26
CATALYST CHURCH • FOR THE ONE • VISION BOOK
NEXT STEP OF SURRENDER Is my life fully surrendered to Jesus, or are there still areas that I need to relinquish control? Does He have my full heart?
NEXT STEP OF FAITH Where is God asking me to trust Him more deeply, to step out in obedience, and to grow in His Word? Am I doing my part so that God can use my life to reach one more?
NEXT STEP OF GENEROSITY As I grow to recognize all that God has done for me, how could my giving better reflect a heart fixed on eternal things instead of earthly ones? How is God challenging me to a new level of generosity?

GIVING DISCIPLESHIP JOURNEY THE INITIAL GIVER is someone who decides to give for the first time out of a response to God’s Word about giving. This is someone who chooses to give something and trust God and the leaders of the Church with this gift. They experience the initial joy of putting Jesus’ words into action. Matthew 7:24
A CONSISTENT GIVER is someone who decides to give something and give it consistently to exercise the discipline of giving as a disciple of Jesus. Often, someone who chooses to make an online recurring gift will be someone who is learning the joy of consistency. Non-online givers can also be consistent givers; it just requires more discipline. They experience the joy of excelling in this grace of giving. 2 Corinthians 8:7
28
CATALYST CHURCH • FOR THE ONE • VISION BOOK
THE PRIORITY GIVER is someone who understands the pre-eminence of Christ and that He is before all things – that all things were created by Him, for Him, through Him, and to Him. This giver places such a significant priority on their giving that it drives their spending and saving, as opposed to their spending and saving driving their giving. They experience the freedom of serving “one master” and declaring, Jesus is first. Matthew 6:19-24 / Colossians 1:15-20
THE SURRENDERED GIVER is someone who recognizes that Christ surrendered His whole self for us, and therefore we desire to offer our entire selves to Him in love. Ephesians 5:1-2 This giver would say, “My giving is not just changing my spending and saving. It’s also changing me!” They also look at what they’re not giving away and ask, “Is it surrendered too?” This informs how they use everything they’ve been blessed and entrusted with – whether through direct monetary giving or a God-honoring use of an existing resource like a home or vehicle.
THE ETERNAL GIVER is someone who sees the eternal impact of their giving - on them and on others - not just the immediate programs and ministries it helps accomplish. This giver has been captivated by the knowledge that the more they are led to “do good, to be generous and ready to share,” the more they “take hold of that which is truly life” 1 Timothy 6:19 This person looks at what they have and asks, “Am I stewarding this for God’s kingdom or for me?” This encourages them to keep growing! They make all decisions (big purchases, savings, giving, relationships, areas of service) in light of how it will affect their eternal impact.

CATALYST CHURCH • FOR THE ONE • VISION BOOK
MINISTRY: $8.5 MILLION Our core mission of making disciples happens through our commitment to the 3 Great Loves.
LOVE GOD Gospel-Centered Living. We believe we were created to know and love God, and the brokenness people feel stems from being separated from Him. Through Jesus—God in the flesh—who gave His life to bridge that gap, we receive new life when we surrender to Him and embrace the gospel, learning to love God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength. Matthew 22:37, Romans 12:1
LOVE EACH OTHER Gospel-Centered Community. Love marks a true follower of Jesus, and that love thrives in genuine community. At Catalyst, we do life together—sharing, supporting, and creating space where everyone belongs. Proverbs 27:10
LOVE OUR WORLD Gospel-Centered Mission. At Catalyst Church, we exist to glorify God by loving all people into a growing relationship with Jesus. We believe ministry happens not just in church, but everywhere we go—because Jesus desires to redeem every part of our world. Ephesians 3:10, Romans 10:13–14
In this season we want to make an even greater investment in the ministry of Catalyst Church and unleash it to better love all people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. This is our two year ministry budget.

MAKING ROOM FOR ONE MORE: $7 MILLION At Catalyst, every seat tells a story. Every chair we add is one more life that can encounter the love of Jesus. God is calling us in this season to expand the capacity of Catalyst Church to make room for one more. Through this Initiative we will:
Expand our Jacksonville Campus from 770 seats to 1,250. Creating space for more people to experience Jesus. Purchase land for our Richlands Campus so they can move from portable to permanent, establishing a lasting presence in that community. Launch 1-2 new Catalyst Campuses over the next two years, enabling us to carry the mission of loving all people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ even further.
32
CATALYST CHURCH • FOR THE ONE • VISION BOOK
MISSION: $1 MILLION We will expand our support and mission efforts through like-minded partners nationally and globally. We will mobilize more short-term mission trips and give generously toward international missions.
TOTAL: $16.5 MILLION

WHAT IS A ONE FUND INITIATIVE? You may have participated in church campaigns in the past where you were asked to give an additional gift—above your regular giving—to support special projects such as new buildings or ministries. Typically, that extra gift went to a “Building Fund,” while your ongoing offerings supported the “General Fund.” This approach can be confusing for those new to giving, and it can make it difficult to see and celebrate your total generosity with a single, unified number. We believe all giving supports one mission: proclaiming the gospel and making disciples. For this next season of ministry expansion, all contributions to Catalyst Church will be given into one unified fund. This allows us to clearly celebrate our collective generosity as followers of Jesus. The For the One initiative will span two years. During that time, every gift received will support the key components of this initiative: our general ministry budget, ministry expansion to reach one more, the development of our current campuses, and ongoing investments in our local and global communities. Each of these areas is described in detail in the following pages of this booklet.
A commitment card is included in this book to help you begin praying about your commitment and what it means for your walk with God. Please take time to thoughtfully and prayerfully consider this. On Commitment Weekend, March 19 & 22, we will provide you with a new commitment card to complete.

WEEK 1 - DAY 1 READING
Whole-hearted devotion to the Lord our God - the Shema. DEUTERONOMY 6:4-9 (ESV) 4 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. 6 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. 8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
God isn’t asking for a part of our heart, He’s asking for all of it. This command to love the Lord with our entire being is a call to total surrender, not partial commitment. God does not desire to be one priority among many; He desires to be the center of everything. When He is first, everything else begins to fall into its proper place. Loving God fully means more than feelings, it means alignment. Our thoughts, habits, choices, and direction are shaped by who holds our heart. Living For the One begins with undivided devotion to Him alone.
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. What is currently competing most for my heart besides God? 2. What would change if God truly held first place in my life?
PRAYER Lord, take every part of my heart. Teach me to love You fully and without division. Be the center of my life. Amen.

WEEK 1 - DAY 2 READING Christ is first in everything - the One above all. COLOSSIANS 1:15-18 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.
Jesus is not an addition to our lives, He is the foundation of everything. Scripture tells us that all things were created by Him, through Him, and for Him. When Christ is first, life gains clarity and purpose. When He is not, confusion grows. Putting Jesus first doesn’t remove hardship, but it gives meaning to every moment. Living For the One means recognizing that Jesus is not just Savior, but Lord. When He is central, our priorities shift, our peace deepens, and our lives align with eternal purpose.
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. Is Jesus the center of my life or just a part of it? 2. What area of my life needs to be realigned under His authority?
PRAYER Jesus, I choose to put You first. Reorder my priorities and reign over every part of my life. Amen.

WEEK 1 - DAY 3 READING Offering your whole life as worship. ROMANS 12:1-2 1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God–this is your spiritual act of worship. 2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will.
A life lived For the One is a life of daily surrender. True worship is not just what we sing, it is how we live. God calls us to lay our whole lives on the altar as an act of devotion. Transformation begins when our minds are renewed by His truth. The more we submit to God, the more He reshapes our desires and direction. Surrender may feel costly, but it always leads to freedom. God’s will is not restrictive, it is good, pleasing, and perfect.
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. What part of my life have I been resistent in surrendering to God? 2. How is God renewing my thinking right now?
PRAYER God, transform my mind and reshape my desires. I offer my life as worship to You. Amen.

WEEK 1 - DAY 4 READING Where your treasure is, your heart will be also. MATTHEW 6:19-21 19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
What we treasure reveals what we trust. Jesus warns us not to build our lives on things that fade but to invest in what lasts forever. Our hearts will always follow our treasure. Living For the One means choosing eternal value over temporary comfort. Where we give our time, energy, and resources shows what truly matters most. God does not just want our generosity, He wants our devotion. When our hearts are anchored in heaven, our lives gain unshakable purpose.
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. Where am I currently storing most of my treasure? 2. What eternal investment is God prompting me to make?
PRAYER Father, free my heart from temporary distractions. Teach me to invest in what lasts forever. Amen.

WEEK 1 - DAY 5 READING We love because He loved us first. 1 JOHN 4:19 19 We love because he first loved us.
We love because God loved us first. Our relationship with God does not begin with our effort, it begins with His grace. His love reached us before we ever reached for Him. Living For the One flows from a heart that understands it is deeply loved. Obedience is no longer driven by guilt but by gratitude. When we grasp the depth of God’s love for us, our love for Him and for others begins to overflow naturally.
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. How has God’s love personally changed my life? 2. Who needs to experience God’s love through me today?
PRAYER Thank You, Jesus, for loving me first. Let Your love flow through my life today. Amen.

WEEK 2 MESSAGE FOR THE ONE MORE IS GOD THE ONE THING THAT DRIVES EVERYTHING IN MY LIFE?
2 And when he returned to Capernaum after some days, it was reported that he was at home. 2 And many were gathered together, so that there was no more room, not even at the door. And he was preaching the word to them. 3 And they came, bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men. 4 And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him, and when they had made an opening, they let down the bed on which the paralytic lay. 5 And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” 6 Now some of the scribes were sitting there, questioning in their hearts, 7 “Why does this man speak like that? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?” 8 And immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they thus questioned within themselves, said to them, “Why do you question these things in your hearts? 9 Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise, take up your bed and walk’? 10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he said to the paralytic— 11 “I say to you, rise, pick up your bed, and go home.” Mark 2:1-11
15 Now the tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to hear him. 2 And the Pharisees and the scribes grumbled, saying, “This man receives sinners and eats with them.” 3 So he told them this parable: 4 “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? 5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.’ 7 Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance. Luke 15:1-7

WEEK 2 - DAY 1 READING We love because He loved us first. LUKE 15:1-7 1 Now the tax collectors and “sinners” were all gathering around to hear him. 2 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.” 3 Then Jesus told them this parable: 4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? 5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ 7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
God is a seeker. He notices the one who is missing and moves toward them with compassion. This parable reminds us that no one is insignificant in God’s kingdom. Heaven rejoices over one lost soul restored. Living For the One More means seeing people the way God sees them, with urgency, value, and love. The mission of God has always been personal. Every name matters. Every story matters. Every soul matters.
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. Who is my “one” right now? 2. Do I see people through God’s heart or through my convenience?
PRAYER Lord, give me Your heart for the lost. Help me see the one the way You do. Amen.

WEEK 2 - DAY 2 READING
The four friends who would do anything to get their friend to Jesus. MARK 2:1-12 1 A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home. 2 So many gathered that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and he preached the word to them. 3 Some men came, bringing to him a paralytic, carried by four of them. 4 Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus and, after digging through it, lowered the mat the paralyzed man was lying on. 5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” 6 Now some teachers of the law were sitting there, thinking to themselves, 7 “Why does this fellow talk like that? He’s blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?” 8 Immediately Jesus knew in his spirit that this was what they were thinking in their hearts, and he said to them, “Why are you thinking these things? 9 Which is easier: to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, take your mat and walk’? 10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins . . . .” He said to the paralytic, 11 “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.” 12 He got up, took his mat and walked out in full view of them all. This amazed everyone and they praised God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!” Real faith carries. These friends refused to let obstacles stop them from getting their friend to Jesus. They dug through a roof because they believed Jesus was worth the effort. Living For the One More means refusing to be passive about someone’s spiritual condition. Love moves. Faith acts. Compassion risks. Someone’s breakthrough may be waiting on our obedience.
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. Who has God placed in my life that needs to be carried to Jesus? 2. What obstacle am I allowing to stop me?
PRAYER Jesus, give me bold faith that moves others closer to You. Amen.

WEEK 2 - DAY 3 READING God Himself searches for His scattered sheep. EZEKIEL 34:11-16 11 ‘For this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I myself will search for my sheep and look after them. 12 As a shepherd looks after his scattered flock when he is with them, so will I look after my sheep. I will rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on a day of clouds and darkness. 13 I will bring them out from the nations and gather them from the countries, and I will bring them into their own land. I will pasture them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines and in all the settlements in the land. 14 I will tend them in a good pasture, and the mountain heights of Israel will be their grazing land. There they will lie down in good grazing land, and there they will feed in a rich pasture on the mountains of Israel. 15 I myself will tend my sheep and have them lie down, declares the Sovereign LORD . 16 I will search for the lost and bring back the strays. I will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak, but the sleek and the strong I will destroy. I will shepherd the flock with justice.
God Himself searches for the lost. He rescues the wandering, binds up the broken, and strengthens the weak. We are never alone in the mission, God always goes before us. Living For the One More means partnering with a God who never stops pursuing people. When we seek the lost, we reflect the heart of the Shepherd.
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. Where do I see God already at work in someone’s life? 2. Do I reflect the heart of a shepherd or the comfort of the crowd?
PRAYER Good Shepherd, use my life to bring wandering hearts back to You. Amen.

WEEK 2 - DAY 4 READING Compassion moves us to pray and go. MATTHEW 9:35-38 35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
Jesus looked at the crowds and was moved with compassion. He didn’t just see people, He felt their need. Then He told His followers to pray for workers. Compassion always leads to action. The harvest is ready, but God looks for willing laborers. Living For the One More means letting compassion push us into obedience.
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. What breaks my heart right now? 2. Am I willing to be the answer to my own prayers?
PRAYER Lord, send me. Make me a worker in Your harvest field. Amen.

WEEK 2 - DAY 5 READING How will they hear unless someone is sent? ROMANS 10:13-15 13 For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” 14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
People come to Jesus because someone is willing to go, speak, and share hope. God’s plan has always included messengers. Living For the One More means saying yes to being sent, across the street or across the world. Our obedience becomes the bridge someone walks across to meet Jesus.
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. Whose eternity could be affected by my obedience? 2. What fear is holding my voice back?
PRAYER God, use my voice, my story, and my steps to lead others to You. Amen.

WEEK 3 MESSAGE LOVE GIVES GOD LOVED - GOD GAVE. REAL LOVE MOVES TOWARD SACRIFICE. 16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
8 We want you to know, brothers, about the grace of God that has been given among the churches of Macedonia, 2 for in a severe test of affliction, their abundance of joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part. 3 For they gave according to their means, as I can testify, and beyond their means, of their own accord, 4 begging us earnestly for the favor of taking part in the relief of the saints— 5 and this, not as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then by the will of God to us. 2 Corinthians 8:1-5
Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the first fruits of all your produce; 10 then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine. Proverbs 3:9-10
10 Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need. Malachi 3:10
23 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others. Matthew 23:23
8 The Lord will command the blessing on you in your barns and in all that you undertake. And he will bless you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. Deuteronomy 28:8

WEEK 3 - DAY 1 READING God’s love initiates, gives, and rescues. JOHN 3:16-17 16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
Love always moves first. God did not wait for us to come to Him, He came to us. His love initiated our rescue, and His giving secured our salvation. Love that stays still is not biblical love. Love acts. Love sacrifices. Living a life shaped by God’s love means we become people who give, not out of pressure, but out of gratitude. When we fully grasp how much God has given for us, it reshapes how tightly we hold everything else.
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. How has God’s love changed what I value most? 2. What would it look like for me to give more freely today?
PRAYER Father, thank You for loving me first. Teach me to love and give the way You do. Amen.

WEEK 3 - DAY 2 READING Joyful generosity in the midst of hardship. 2 CORINTHIANS 8:1-5 1 And now, brothers, we want you to know about the grace that God has given the Macedonian churches. 2 Out of the most severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. 3 For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, 4 they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints. 5 And they did not do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us in keeping with God’s will. The Macedonians gave generously even in extreme hardship. Their generosity was not powered by surplus, but by surrender. They first gave themselves to the Lord, and everything else followed. True generosity always flows from devotion before it ever touches a dollar. When God has our hearts, our hands open naturally. Love does not ask, “How little can I give?” Love asks, “How fully can I trust God with what I give?”
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. Do I give from comfort or from trust? 2. What would it look like for me to give myself to God more fully?
PRAYER Lord, I give myself to You again today. Let generosity flow from my surrender. Amen.

Honoring God with the first and best is a declaration of trust. Love doesn’t give leftovers, it gives priority. When we put God first in our giving, we proclaim that He is our provider, not our possessions. Generosity begins when we decide who truly sits on the throne of our lives. As trust deepens, fear loosens its grip, and obedience becomes a joy rather than a struggle.
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. Is God receiving my first and best, or my extra and leftovers? 2. What step of trust is God inviting me to take?
PRAYER God, I honor You with my resources today. Help me trust You fully. Amen.

WEEK 3 - DAY 4 READING Joyful generosity in the midst of hardship. MALACHI 3:10 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.
God invites us into a relationship of trust through obedience. He challenges His people to bring the full tithe, not to enrich themselves, but to experience His faithfulness. Love that gives is love that believes God will provide. When we step out in obedience, God steps in with provision, direction, and peace. Generosity becomes a stage where God displays His reliability.
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. Where is God asking me to trust Him more deeply right now? 2. What fear am I holding onto when I hesitate to give?
PRAYER Lord, I place my trust in You. Strengthen my faith as I walk in obedience. Amen.

God desires obedience from a heart of justice, mercy, and faithfulness. MATTHEW 23:23 23 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices–mint, dill and cummin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law– justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.
Jesus reminds us that generosity must be rooted in justice, mercy, and faithfulness, not routine or performance. God desires hearts aligned with His before He desires hands extended with offerings. True generosity flows from compassion, integrity, and sincerity. When our hearts reflect His heart, our giving will naturally reflect His priorities.
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. Is my generosity flowing from love or obligation? 2. Does my giving reflect God’s heart for people?
PRAYER Jesus, align my heart with Yours so my generosity honors You. Amen.

WEEK 4 MESSAGE GENEROUS PEOPLE GENEROSITY IS NOT AN AMOUNT BUT A POSTURE OF TRUST. 6 Accordingly, we urged Titus that as he had started, so he should complete among you this act of grace. 7 But as you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all earnestness, and in our love for you[a]—see that you excel in this act of grace also.8 I say this not as a command, but to prove by the earnestness of others that your love also is genuine. 9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich. 10 And in this matter I give my judgment: this benefits you, who a year ago started not only to do this work but also to desire to do it. 11 So now finish doing it as well, so that your readiness in desiring it may be matched by your completing it out of what you have. 12 For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have. 2 Corinthians 8:6-12
30 “Every tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the trees, is the Lord’s; it is holy to the Lord. Leviticus 27:30
2 On the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up, as he may prosper, so that there will be no collecting when I come. 1 Corinthians 16:2
41 And he sat down opposite the treasury and watched the people putting money into the offering box. Many rich people put in large sums. 42 And a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which make a penny.[a] 43 And he called his disciples to him and said to them, “Truly, I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the offering box. 44 For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on.” Mark 12:41-44

WEEK 4 - DAY 1 READING
God desires obedience from a heart of justice, mercy, and faithfulness. 2 CORINTHIANS 8:6-12 6 So we urged Titus, since he had earlier made a beginning, to bring also to completion this act of grace on your part. 7 But just as you excel in everything–in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us –see that you also excel in this grace of giving. 8 I am not commanding you, but I want to test the sincerity of your love by comparing it with the earnestness of others. 9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich. 10 And here is my advice about what is best for you in this matter: Last year you were the first not only to give but also to have the desire to do so. 11 Now finish the work, so that your eager willingness to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means. 12 For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have.
Generosity is a grace we grow in. God measures willingness before He measures amount. He is not impressed by comparison, He is moved by obedience. When we decide to say “yes” to God before we know all the details, generosity becomes a joy instead of a burden. God is shaping us into people who live with open hands and ready hearts.
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. Is my giving shaped more by fear or faith? 2. Where is God calling me to grow in generosity?
PRAYER Lord, grow the grace of generosity in my heart. Make me willing and joyful in my giving. Amen.

WEEK 4 - DAY 2 READING The widow’s offering - God sees surrender, not size. MARK 12:41-44 41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny. 43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything–all she had to live on.”
Jesus honors sacrifice over size. The widow’s offering seemed small to everyone else, but heaven saw it as great. God is never impressed by numbers alone; He is moved by trust. When we give sacrificially, we declare that our confidence is in God, not our resources. Even what feels small in our hands becomes powerful when placed fully in His.
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. Do I evaluate generosity by size or by surrender? 2. What would sacrificial giving look like for me right now?

Generosity is not meant to be accidental, it is meant to be intentional. Paul teaches believers to give regularly and purposefully. When giving becomes a planned habit, it shapes our faith and reminds us that God is part of every area of our lives. Consistent generosity creates consistent trust.
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. Do I plan to give, or only give when I feel prompted? 2. What rhythm of generosity could I establish starting now?

The tithe reminds us that everything belongs to God. We are not owners, we are stewards. When we recognize His ownership, generosity becomes a response instead of a requirement. Open hands reflect a surrendered heart. Before generosity increases, our sense of control must decrease.

God designed generosity to refresh both the giver and the receiver. When we pour into others, He pours into us. Generosity is not a loss, it is a flow. We are blessed to be channels, not containers. A life that gives freely becomes a life that experiences God’s refreshing power.
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. Who can I refresh or bless today? 2. Am I living more as a channel or a container?

WEEK 5 MESSAGE - THE GENEROSITY JOURNEY GENEROSITY IS A DISCIPLESHIP PATHWAY - STEP BY STEP. 6 The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully[a] will also reap bountifully. 7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency[b] in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. 9 As it is written, “He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.” 10 He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. 2 Corinthians 9:6-10
15 And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.” Luke 12:15

23 And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. 24 For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. 25 For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself? WEEK 5 - DAY 1 READING Sowing, reaping, and God supplying seed. 2 CORINTHIANS 9:6-10 6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 9 As it is written: “He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.” 10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.
What we sow determines what we reap. Paul teaches that the one who sows sparingly will reap sparingly, and the one who sows generously will reap generously. This isn’t a guilt tactic; it’s an invitation to trust God with both seed and harvest. He supplies what we have and multiplies what we release. When we see our time, money, and gifts as seed instead of possession, we become willing to plant them for God’s purposes. The generosity journey begins when we stop gripping what’s in our hands and start trusting the One who can multiply it beyond anything we imagine.
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. What kind of “seed” am I sowing with my time, resources, and relationships? 2. Where am I still gripping tightly instead of trusting God to multiply?

WEEK 5 - DAY 2 READING Guarding the heart against greed. LUKE 12:15 15 But He said to them, “Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one is affluent does his life consist of his possessions.”
Jesus warns us to be on our guard against all kinds of greed because life does not consist in the abundance of possessions. Greed whispers that we are always one purchase away from peace. Jesus tells us peace is found in Him alone. The generosity journey includes exposing the lie that “more” will finally be enough. When our identity is rooted in Christ instead of our stuff, we are free to give, free to release, and free to be content. Generosity is not just about what leaves our hands, but what is loosened from our hearts by the Holy Spirit.
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. Where do I feel the strongest pull toward “more” right now? 2. How might rooting my identity in Christ change the way I view my possessions?
PRAYER Lord, guard my heart from greed. Root my identity in You, and teach me the freedom of contentment and generosity. Amen.

WEEK 5 - DAY 3 READING Daily surrender - carrying your cross. LUKE 9:23-25 23 Then he said to them all: “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. 24 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. 25 What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit his very self?
Jesus says anyone who wants to follow Him must deny themselves, take up their cross daily, and follow. Trying to save our lives on our own terms leads to loss; surrendering our lives to Him leads to real, eternal life. The generosity journey is really a surrender journey at the deepest level. As we loosen our grip on comfort, control, and self, our hands open to God and to others. When Jesus becomes our greatest treasure, giving no longer feels like losing, it feels like aligning with the life we were created to live in the first place, full of purpose and joy.
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. What comfort or control is Jesus asking me to loosen my grip on today? 2. In what ways does following Him feel like loss, and how might it actually be gain?
PRAYER Jesus, I surrender again today. Be my greatest treasure and align my life with Your purpose and joy. Amen.

Trusting the Lord deeply and honoring Him with your best. PROVERBS 3:5-10 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. 8 This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. 9 Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; 10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.
Jesus teaches that storing up treasure on earth ties our hearts to what moth, rust, and thieves can destroy. Storing up treasure in heaven attaches our hearts to what can never be taken. Wherever our treasure goes, our heart follows. This means our spending and giving are spiritual decisions, not just financial ones or lifestyle choices. A lasting legacy is built when we consistently move more of our “treasure” into what matters eternally, God’s kingdom, God’s people, and God’s mission. Over time, our hearts will follow those investments into deeper love for Him and greater freedom from material anxiety and fear.
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. Where am I still leaning on my own understanding instead of acknowledging God? 2. How can my financial decisions become an expression of trust rather than fear?

Give willingly, not reluctantly - God loves a cheerful giver. 2 CORINTHIANS 9:7 (NASB) 7 Each one must do just as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
Paul reminds us that God loves a cheerful giver. He is not blessed by pressured, reluctant giving, but by hearts that give willingly and joyfully because they trust Him. Cheerful giving grows out of faith, not out of perfect circumstances. As we journey with God, He transforms giving from something we “have to do” into something we “get to do.” Our generosity becomes a celebration of His goodness, not a negotiation for His favor. The more confident we are in His love and provision, the freer and happier our giving becomes, and the more our lives mirror His generous heart toward us.
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. Does my giving feel more like a burden or a joy right now? 2. How would deeper confidence in God’s love and provision change my attitude toward giving?

WEEK 6 MESSAGE A LASTING LEGACY A LIFE SURRENDERED LEAVES AN ETERNAL IMPACT. 8 And God is able to make all grace overflow to you, so that, always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed; 11 you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God. 12 For the ministry of this service is not only fully supplying the needs of the [a]saints, but is also overflowing through many thanksgivings to God. 13 Because of the proof given by this ministry, they will glorify God for your obedience to your confession of the gospel of Christ and for the liberality of your contribution to them and to all, 14 while they also, by prayer on your behalf, yearn for you because of the surpassing grace of God in you. 15 Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! 2 Corinthians 9:8,11-5
19 Furthermore, as for every person to whom God has given riches and wealth, He has also given him the opportunity to enjoy them and to receive his reward and rejoice in his labor; this is the gift of God. Ecclesiastes 5:19
24 And Jesus looked at him and said, “How hard it is for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God! 25 For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God!” Luke 18:24-25
15 But He said to them, “Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one is affluent does his life consist of his possessions.” 16 And He told them a parable, saying, “The land of a rich man was very productive. 17 And he began thinking to himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no place to store my crops?’ 18 And he said, ‘This is what I will do: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and I will store all my grain and my goods there. 19 And I will say to myself, “You have many goods stored up for many years to come; relax, eat, drink, and enjoy yourself!”’ 20 But God said to him, ‘You fool! God enriches us so we can be generous in every season. 2 CORINTHIANS 9:8, 11-15 8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 11 You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. 12 This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. 13 Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. 14 And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. 15 Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!
God is able to make all grace abound so we have what we need to abound in every good work. He enriches us in every way so we can be generous on every occasion, and that generosity causes others to give thanks to Him. Legacy begins there, when people look past us and glorify God. Our giving writes His name into other people’s stories. The generosity we live today can echo in praise long after we’re gone. A lasting legacy isn’t about being remembered; it’s about God being remembered because of how boldly, consistently, and joyfully we trusted and obeyed Him.
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. Who might end up thanking God because of my generosity or obedience? 2. How can my giving more clearly point people to Him instead of to me?
PRAYER Father, let my generosity lead others to thank and worship You. Write Your name into stories through my life. Amen.

WEEK 6 - DAY 2 READING The rich fool - barns vs. eternal impact. LUKE 12:15-21 15 Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.” 16 And he told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man produced a good crop. 17 He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.’ 18 “Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. 19 And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.” 20 “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’ 21 “This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich toward God.”
Jesus tells a parable about a rich man who planned for bigger barns but never prepared for what came after death. God calls him a fool, not because he had wealth, but because he lived as if this life were all there is and God did not matter. He was rich in possessions but poor toward God. A lasting legacy is not secured by what we keep, but by what we release for God’s kingdom. When eternity becomes real in our hearts, our plans, priorities, and financial decisions shift from self-protection to kingdom participation, from temporary comfort to eternal impact that outlives our years.
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. Am I planning more for my comfort here or for impact that will matter in eternity? 2. In what ways might God be calling me to be “rich toward Him” instead?
PRAYER Lord, rescue me from living only for now. Teach me to live, give, and plan with eternity in view. Amen.

WEEK 6 - DAY 3 READING
Every good thing is from God - and meant to be enjoyed gratefully. ECCLESIASTES 5:19 19 Moreover, when God gives any man wealth and possessions, and enables him to enjoy them, to accept his lot and be happy in his work-this is a gift of God.
Ecclesiastes reminds us that the ability to enjoy our work, our wealth, and our portion in life is itself a gift from God. Everything we have and every moment we experience comes from His hand, not from luck or personal greatness. Recognizing Him as the Giver reshapes our posture from entitlement to gratitude, from clinging to stewarding. Joy grows when we stop obsessing over what we don’t have and start thanking God for what we do. A legacy mindset doesn’t just ask, “What can I get from this life?” but “How can I use what I’ve been given for God’s purposes and other people’s good?”
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. Do I more often complain about what I lack or thank God for what I have? 2. How can I intentionally use one gift in my life to bless someone else this week?
PRAYER God, thank You for every good gift. Teach me to enjoy them with gratitude and steward them for Your purposes. Amen.

WEEK 6 - DAY 4 READING Storing treasure in Heaven.
What do my recent financial decisions reveal about where my treasure truly is? 2. What is one specific way I can “move treasure” toward God’s kingdom this month?
PRAYER Jesus, aim my heart by aiming my treasure. Help me invest in what matters forever. Amen.

WEEK 6 - DAY 5 READING The danger of letting riches hold your heart. LUKE 18:24–25 24 And Jesus looked at him and said, “How hard it is for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God! 25 For it is easier for a camel to [a]go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God!”
Jesus says it is hard for the rich to enter the kingdom of God because wealth can quietly become a functional savior. Money promises security, status, and control, things only God can truly provide in a lasting way. The issue is not having riches, but riches having us. A heart held tightly by possessions finds it difficult to fully follow Jesus wherever He leads. A lasting legacy begins when we invite God to loosen the grip of anything that rivals Him. As we release our dependence on wealth, we discover the deep freedom, courage, and joy of depending on Christ alone in every area.
REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS 1. What might be functioning as a “quiet savior” in my life besides Jesus? 2. Where is God inviting me to loosen my grip and trust Him more fully?
PRAYER Lord, search my heart for anything that rivals You. Loosen my grip on lesser things and deepen my trust in Christ alone. Amen.
