Why We Pray
And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people.
Revelation 5:8
A Prayer from Sam
My prayer for you as you embark on this journey of intentionally growing closer to God through prayer and praise, that you would encounter your Heavenly Father who delights in hearing your voice.
Whether you’re praising from the mountaintop, or praying through the deepest valley. He just wants to hear from you. Our Lord declares that our prayers are a pleasing aroma to Him, He sees us at our worst and loves us still.
I pray as you walk through these 40 day of prayer you’ll encounter God in a new way that completely transforms your life and the life of those around you.
May He be glorified in all you do and his will be done. Amen.

A Prayer from Mel
Father God,
We come before You with grateful hearts as moms, grandmothers, wives, daughters, and young women. Thank you for the ways You meet us in every season of life.
Teach us Lord to be women who live lives of praise - In the laundry, in the carpool lines, in our work, in our homes, and in our relationships. Let praise not just be something we say, but the posture of our hearts and the way we live each day.
We love You, Lord, and we give You all the glory.
Amen

My One
For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.
2 Corinthians 4:5-6
A Prayer from Kaylee
Heavenly Father, Lord, You see every person and You know their story. Thank You for loving the one who feels forgotten, unseen, or far from You. As I go through my day, place people on my heart who may need Your love, hope, or encouragement.
Give me eyes to see them the way You do and the courage to care for them intentionally. Show me how I can be present and share Your love in a real, meaningful, practical way. Help me to be a light in the darkness and to reflect You in all I do.

My Family

I have been reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother
Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also.
2 Timothy 1:5
A Prayer from Bonnie
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for choosing the family you have placed us in as daughters, wives, mothers, sisters and grandmothers. I’m so grateful Lord, for being adopted into Your family, as a child of God.
I will never take that lightly or take for granted the sacrifice Christ made to have that be a possibility. It’s my desire to always have sincere faith that reflects your love and grace. May we be women after God’s own heart, and may that be the heritage that we leave for generations to come.
In Jesus Name Amen

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:10

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. herefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

A Prayer from Summer
Dear Lord,
Thank You for placing me exactly where I am for a purpose. Help me to see my home, my city, and my community through Your eyes. Give me courage to faithfully share Your love and make disciples wherever You lead me.
Teach me to be obedient to Your voice and to trust that You can use my life right where I am. May my life reflect Your goodness to those around me.
Amen.

Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.
Titus 2:3-5
A Prayer from Claudia
Lord,
thank You so much for this time together, different stories, different seasons, different personalities, but all gathered because we want to know You more. I pray this time would grow our relationship with You and with each other.
Lord, I pray that Titus 2 would really take root in our hearts. Thank You for placing us in a community full of incredible women. I pray those relationships keep growing, that the older women would mentor with wisdom and love, and that the younger women would have teachable hearts, and maybe ask a lot of questions along the way.
God, the world has a lot to say about what women should be, what we should care about, how we should act, and what should define us. But I pray we would keep coming back to You as our example. Help us encourage one another to be the women You’ve created us to be, good friends, patient moms (especially on the hard days), loving daughters, supportive wives, faithful coworkers, wise bosses, and everything else You’ve called us to be.
Wherever You’ve placed us, in our homes, workplaces, carpools, group texts, and coffee dates, I pray we would be lights for You. Women who are always willing to learn, always willing to teach, and always willing to point each other back to You.
And God, thank You for making us women in this time. Thank You for trusting us to show the world that true strength isn’t doing everything perfectly, it’s knowing we need You and leaning on You every single day. Amen.
