Before the pandemic was officially declared as such, it all started with a simple outbreak, which gradually expanded geographically into a pandemic. This outbreak triggered a new reality, causing significant transformations in the entire world. People adopted new habits, experienced a change of consciousness and evolved on a general level. It is in this context that we decided to name our brand "Brote", not only in reference to the global situation, but also as a symbol of the many changes and transformations that are taking place both internally and externally as a result of these events.

STORYTELLING
We seek to pay tribute to him from a humble Uruguayan point of view, firmly based on our national identity.
34
We based it on the time when he traveled to New York, in the 70's where the pop era was emerging along with Andy Warhol, that was a great inspiration in our palette of colors and shapes. In the technical study, we saw that the sizes he represented were bigger, alluding to the big city, we wanted to take that to the "patch" method in our jeans. In addition, in works such as "the signal man" we found it interesting how he represented man, with arrows and traffic signs, seeking to capture the noise, speed, alienation and movement. We also know that the city of New York is not like other cities, there people seek to be special and different, we took this into account to create the pieces. Constructively we used a lot of changes in texture, color and material, in order to create pieces that represent the artist with actuality.
Temperas in which anonymous characters, traffic signs, billboards, awnings, cars, garbage cans, fire escapes, buildings, arms and legs, are part of the same suffocating, impenetrable and frightening whirlpool. Gurvich, was an artist, craftsman, worker and nomad.
A Uruguayan in a crazy city.
35
NAME
The man and his commitment to the man himself was always the focus of Gurvich's work; we see it in works such as "Signal Man" in which different urban indicators: traffic lights, arrows and flags make up an urban man, anonymous and alienated or, on the contrary, in the case of his cosmic men and couples in whom we discover vital beings, endowed with a rich inner world whose engine is joy.
The traces of the city, its speed, its smells, its colors and all its sensations.

Who and what do we value?
This question is at the heart of "Care Culture", as people repeat welfare over work, community over competition, and planet over profit.

CONSUMER PROFILE
The pandemic and climate crisis have highlighted the importance of care, whether it is medical care, self-care, care and repair of our belongings, or care for cultures and customs. They have also caused new migration patterns, as people turn their backs on crowded cities, flee the effects of climate change, or establish intergenerational households to care for loved ones. As a result, collectives are increasingly important as a source of support, security and sense of meaning.
In 2024, this major reorientation will fuel demand for flexible, multi-purpose, go-anywhere products that are made for, or inspired by, nomadic lifestyles, both traditional and contemporary. Home will also continue to be important as a feeling and as a place, with designs and experiences that can recreate familiar comforts in any environment. Healing and haptic materials, mood-enhancing colors and earthy textures will reconnect us with nature, and previously marginalized voices and old traditions will rise up with respect, and the recognition that there is unity and strength in diversity.

The colors selected were taken from the color palette of J. Gurvich's painting in New York. Strong colors that mark a before and after in its identity.
44
The pattern is street-inspired, with wide and straight sides. The patches are inspired by the shapes of the artwork, this way the structure is maintained and gives a unique identity to the pants. The sequin will appear in this as an accent, in details.
The materials to be used in the jean are denim and a textile which is embroidered with sequins. We selected the best jeans that were in disuse, with a good texture, good color and good thickness. color and good thickness.

The fabric is inspired by the typical bombers of the time, with large amplitudes in their sleeves and sides, generating a unique sides, generating a unique waist.
The pateches are inspired by the shapes of the work, thus maintaining the structure of this and gives a unique identity to the bomber.
49
50
The materials you will see in this bomber are wool and remnants of a savannah. We dyed the wool with yellow onion and green onion to generate a natural color. The other wools present are yarns that were already in continuation and were the only ones in their color and texture.
