Academies CASTLE VIEW HIGH SCHOOL
Academies at CVHS: Make our big school feel smaller; Deepen our relationships; Create rigorous learning experiences; and Create relevant learning experiences.
Each Sabercat chooses an ACADEMY. This learning community shares Academy-wide events and rituals like field trips, competitions, and guest speakers. Students are assigned to an Advisement class with other members of their Academy, ensuring that they experience this critical Academic and Social-Emotional support with peers and adults who share their interests. Each Sabercat is welcome (and encouraged) to pursue a PATHWAY. Each Academy offers several pathways -- collections of required coursework with internship, service, and extracurricular connections-- that support students in going above and beyond in pursuit of their interests. A Sabercat who successfully completes a pathway is honored with a Diploma of Distinction and an Academy Stole to wear at graduation.
