What’s on May - AUGUST 2024
Welcome to Castle Theatre’s Summer Season 2024. The new year was welcomed with open arms by the public of Wellingborough and we couldn’t be happier with the feedback and responses from never before seen shows at the venue. We welcomed the likes of Michael Starring Ben and Mark Thompson’s Spectacular Science Show, both of which amazed and delighted audiences alike.
Starting the season with a bang, we have well known comedians Chris McCausland and Troy Hawke who are sure to bring a smile to the faces of Wellingborough with their eccentric and ever popular routines.
If you’re looking to introduce your little ones to the theatre this summer, we have In The Night Garden returning to our stage by popular demand and more family friendly shows such as young magician extraordinaire and BGT finalist Cillian O’Connor, and the touring summer panto Treasure Island.
Music fans also have a lot to look forward to, and we have a plethora of shows spanning over a range of decades and genres - if you’re a music lover in general, you’re spoiled for choice! We have tributes in the shape of Harry Styles, Fleetwood Mac, Dire Straits and The Time of our Lives and welcome the return of The Drifters, Rock for Heroes and Country Superstars amongst others.
With community at the heart of the theatre, and following the success of our February ‘Play in a Week’, we’re even more excited for the return of Castle Fest, our annual festival that gives young people the opportunity to take part in a series of classes and workshops in a professional setting. If you would like the chance to be part of this year’s pantomime The New Adventures of Peter Pan, turn to page 19 for information on our Kids open auditions taking place here on Sunday 30 June.
As we move through the summer months and beyond, we are thrilled to continue building on the fantastic start we’ve had to 2024. We are dedicated to bringing you, our wonderful audiences, a wide range of shows that have become staples of our remarkable theatre. We look forward to seeing you soon.
